Da Buddha

Over a week and two contact requests later and 7th floor still haven't got back to me. Nice 24 hour response time.
It took me a while to get a reply. I had emailed 3 times over the course of about 11 months. My first emails before these three I received two quick responses and a confirmation that they'd make me a spherical heater cover for the Da Buddha (still says they can do so in their FAQ). With that, I went ahead and bought some glass pieces thinking I'd get the heater cover made eventually. Nope.

I finally managed to reach them a couple of weeks ago and was told that they can't make spherical heater covers for the Da Buddha, and the person that had told me that they could is no longer with the company.

In the end, I kinda bought new glass for no reason, which I can't even use. I'm contemplating picking up a SSV, but it's hard to justify that with the kind of support I received.

With that said, the guy that did email me was courteous and did seem genuine. He did offer to work out a refund for the glass since it's unused, but I decided against it (because of what I said above). I'm not angry overall, just a little disappointed.

But keep trying, hopefully they'll get back to you with a little persistence.

Hello Cemmons,
Its Philip from 7th Floor Vapes. How are you doing today? I wanted to start off with, I am terribly sorry you were mislead on the Spherical Heater cover for the Da Buddha. The employee who relayed that information to you is no longer with us and I currently have our media department working to remove that from our FAQ. Thank you very much for pointing that out!

I would very much like to get this resolved for you! What can I do make this right?

~Philip

Had the same problem try customercare@7thfloorvapes.com they seem to respond a lot better if contacting them via that email as opposed to contact details on their site. Or trying ringing them I recommend try dealing with Philip hes a good guy hope that helps. :)

On a side note god I love having my Buddha back I've missed it! :smug:

Hey Mr_Shady,
Its Philip from 7th Floor Vapes. It was a pleasure assisting you getting your vape repaired! Thank you very much for the praise, you made my day! How is your Da Buddha treating you since the repair?

Hey TheSaddestShitIsImBadAsIt,
Its Philip from 7th Floor Vapes. How are you doing? I am sorry to hear you didnt receive a reply back from our Customercare@7thFloorVapes.com. The past month we were remodeling our office so its possible the error occured there. Either way its no excuse! I would really like to get this taken care of for you!

Please feel free to message me at Philb@7thFloorVapes.com whenever is convenient for you! I will make sure you are taken care of quickly and promptly!

Hello friends - long time vaper first time poster, i have had my Buddha for about 3x years and she has been my daily for the entire period :)

I'm hoping someone can assist with a small problem i've been having, its more common lately but seemed to be a monthly thing in the past. Basically when im nearing the end of the cone, the bud will sometimes combust. I have always had the temp knob on the lowest possible setting and i'm packing the cone about 1/4 full, i've also tried tilting the vape forward like the SSV to no change.

Due to legality problems in my country i cannot always verify the quality of the buds however i have recently picked up some direct from grower and am having real dramas with it burning, my housemate also has a buddha (his is only a year old at most) and he is also having dramas.

Any suggestions guys? Can i rip the thing apart and somehow lower the temp range of the knob?

Peace :peace:

Is your herb properly dried and cured? If not, you might not get the best vaporizer experience.

I found my dbv ran hot on the lowest setting just after it clicks on. Someone suggested lowering the heating element and it worked for me so that might be worth trying. Here's how mine looks, when you try pushing the element in you might find that it trys to spring back up, this is normal and it should eventually stay.

It's very possible... i cannot confirm grow specifics with my contacts unfortunately, the combustion rate increase seems to be consistent with certain sellers so you may be right.

Excellent news, I'm glad I could help.
Out of curiosity is yours the 110v or 220v model?
Happy vaping Christmas

220v (aus) mate - i see that you're in the UK so you must have a 220v version too... hmm i wonder if these models run hotter than their 110v counterparts?

That is indeed what I was thinking, i've heard a few times now from people with 220v models saying it runs hot.

Hey guys! I am curious, does the da buddah or the silver surfer have electronics in the air/vapor path?

It has the heater rod (part of the units electric circuit) is in the air path so you might want to consider that. My view as a long term users of an LSV is that the device is very clean but in the end it all comes down to ones risk tolerance.

Can someone recommend a vape website from one of our members that sells hoses for the DBV please?

Then 7th floor wealbsite s&h charges are extremely heavy. :/

Amazon and probably some ebay merchants sell some pretty good silicone tubing in fairly short lengths which in some ways is better then the out of the box stuff IMO.

Do you need the glass pieces or just the hose itself? Should be able to grab the hose at a hardware store.

Mike
I just need the tubing. A hard ware store? Is that where you get your hose/whip?

The only reason I ask is because I don't know how safe that would be. I thought I read somewhere that the hose should be food grade vinyl tubing.

I've been looking. I have found a vendor on Amazon but again the s&h is $45.

Supposedy it's 3/8" ID, 1/2" OD but that doesn't seem right. I'm going to measure it when I get home
I have this size tubing. This is some thick-walled tubing!
DDAVE thanks!
Anytime...
I plan on getting your ssv/dbv mod. I may as well try the tubing while I'm placing my order
A 2.5' Whip Tubing is included in the DBV/SSV Kit. Just let me know which from below that you'd like included.

3/8" ID, 1/2" OD
or
3/8" ID, 5/8" OD

Has anyone found a way to use glass screens with Da Buddha? I've had mine for several years, and I'm really tired of buying screens. Buy them from 7th floor and you pay out the ass for shipping. Go to a head shop just for screens and they aren't happy. Or even worse you get shitty screens.

I want to echo what Haunts said about ISO cleaning, in that vein it is not unusual to get over a years worth of use out of a good stainless steel screen. I use such screens (baskets & flats) in my LSV. Downside, it takes more time and effort to clean a screen then it dose as to replace one. Good Luck.

Post add...... How are you trying to clean your screens now and how did you try to clean them with ISO? It might just be a question of technique.
