Discontinued herbalAire

One of my HA's suddenly died... wondering if anyone else has seen this problem? The last few days, I noticed a couple of times when I plugged it in, the green light was flashing very fast (like there was a bad connection somewhere). Kind of a randomized fast flashing light, not the power-out flash. When this happened, I plugged it into a different outlet and that seemed to solve it. That happened twice in the last few days and I thought it was a loose power outlet.

Today when I plug in the unit, the light stays solid red indefinitely, and the unit doesn't warm up at all. Something seriously wrong. Anyone else ever seen this?

I'd contact Herbalaire, sounds like the heater went.

I got my herbalaire h2.2 4 years ago. I honestly thought it was decent, but not that great. Whip wasn't producing enough vapor and I couldn't figure out the vape bong concept at the time, so I would strictly use bags from time to time since I got the most vapor that way, but have combusted probably 90% of the time in this 4 years. I've been wake and vaping with the bags the last week or so with good results, which convinced me to explore my options for a portable vape since this would best suit me in my current situation. I went with the Arizer Air, and its currently on its way here in the mail. Many were saying they vape bong with it on higher temps, around 400 degrees. Well I had always started vape bonging with the HA around 355. It had great taste but hardly any vapor. This got me thinking that I should start around 375. I loaded .2 in the crucible this morning on 375, and Wa-lah, just like that, big vapor clouds through the water pipe. I wish I had done this year's ago. The HA has re sparked my interest in vaporizing, all for the better, and am confident this will be my desktop vaporizer long in to the future.

I also give thanks to this great community who got me in to vaping in the first place, and geared me towards purchasing what I can now say with confidence, is a great vaporizer.

Welcome to FC!!

If you would like to delve further into improving your HerbalAire vaporizer, I would highly recommend reading these posts:

http://fuckcombustion.com/resources/herbalaire-h2-2-review-with-high-output-kit.6/

This one is for the Elite, but loading the crucible is still the same:

http://fuckcombustion.com/resources/herbalaire-elite-review.8/

This vape can output a LOT of vapor and i never had any issues with any delivery method.
Bags are always thick and delicious!
Through a bongit is amazing!
The whip gives just as thick hits as the above two.

Try the Espresso mode way of loading and compressing the heck out of your bud before loading the crucible!

And a quick video from a friend on here, @biohacker

Here's a new promotional video designed to show off the versatility/different modes the herbalAire can be operated in. I have seen crazier setups here and would love to see some of your most elaborate herbalAire rigs!! Still proudly made in Canada!!

Has anyone ever noticed anything like this? As long as the HA has been out surely this has occurred before...

I filed down my crucible to use with the TonG, so the buildup at the top is just hardened resin that's impossible to get off lol. But when I went to use it this morning I noticed the dark patch at the bottom of the oven. It's been a couple of weeks since I used it. I didn't notice it before that but I haven't honestly paid that much attention to it. It was hard to get a good picture, but it's not resin. It looks like the polish is wearing off (or maybe aluminum oxide is forming?) and it's left behind a dull grey texture. Any thoughts @herbalaire ??

I was choosing between the Extreme Q, Vapir Rise and HerbalAire. I decided to buy the HerbalAire. I have one of the last questions before I can make an order: is there any difference between H2.2, H3 and Elite? The only difference I noticed, other than the price tag, is the display. Are there any other pros and cons? Does it make sense to spend more on Elite?

Thank you.

P. S. I visited HerbalAire's website and read about all those three models but it didn't make things a lot clearer

The H2.2 is no longer being made and can't be bought new from the manufacturer. They sell replacement parts (mouthpieces, crucibles, etc.) for those already in use.

The H3 holds a bigger load, like the Elite, has the same bigger crucible as the Elite and an improved mouthpiece like the Elite's, which appears to have a better way to handle the hot crucible if you want to take it out of the unit before it's cooled. I expect it to be our 2nd vaporizer someday.

The Elite has a digital temperature display rather than a simple LED light. (Edit: at least I think it's an LED light.) IMO, it doesn't make sense to spend more on the Elite, but if you like digital displays, it might make sense to you.:)

I know he's already purchased an Herbalaire, although I'm not sure which one, or how it was equipped.

Did you get it with the High Output pump? Have they integrated that to the internal timer that is part of the digital display on the Elite? (the low output pump power supply is connected to the timer, but the HO unit I bought it came as a replacement with a 'regular' power plug.)

I think you'll love the Herbalaire, it's a very hardy unit that works incredibly well and is versatile as well.

I haven't bought it yet. But when I do I'll post a short report here :)

Thank you. On the second thought, I'm not sure any more that it's an Elite I'm going to buy: although herbalAire is a Canadian company (I live in Canada), it shows its prices in US$! And US$300 = CA$400, what a big oops... :( It makes the Elite slightly less affordable, 400 + tax will make an amount not so far from half a thousand dollars, which is more that I have planned to spend. Perhaps the H3 will be a more realistic option.

BTW, what do you guys think about the Vapir Rise? It was my second choice...

I've never used or seen one. Sorry. There should be a thread for it here where you could get more information from folks who use them.

Maybe @stickstones could help you with the decision? He's this site's "vapor concierge."

Thank you.

When I bought my previous vape I found some promotional codes which helped me to get a discount. Are there any coupons, promotion codes or something like that?

Yea @PuffItUp is a FC sponsor. You really can't go wrong with PIU. They're a great crew. I've bought from them multiple times. They've covered me on warranties and returns, and they're always quick to respond if you have a question or issue. The 15% off code is PuffedUp or BigNews. That being said, @herbalaire also has some awesome customer service. I got my 2.2 from directly from them a couple of years ago. My unit hasn't needed any service but they've been responsive to my questions
