Sticky Brick Junior by Sticky Brick Labs

One other question I'd like to throw out to the community. I've got a little oil rig I'd like to connect up to it if I can. The rig has a 14mm male joint. How could I connect the Jr to my rig? Sorry if this question has already been covered in this thread.

The Jr mates perfectly with 14mm male joints so you should be able to just take the mouthpiece off and attach it straight to your rig, no adapters necessary.

Sorry, what are the pads for? Just hash or other concentrates?
And they are good working with the SBJ?

Can't find a definite answer, so figured I'd just try and ask. I'm still figuring out the technique for the Jr right now, so do you guys prefer using a fine grind or a coarse grind? Also how much do you tamp down your herb?

So far I've used both coarse and fine. Both work about the same - the real variable is torch technique. And stirring between each or every other is also important, as I'm finding.

For myself I find the jr does just fine with almost any type of grind. And to be honest I find the only true factor for my usage is flame size. The smaller the better. And then I point the flame across the opening and start drawing on the jr. The draw will bring the flame into the intake glass. I've never combusted with this technique and it keeps me from charring the load too bad also.

The capsules would, it would just gunk up the pads tho.

The bricks get to temp so well and it's so simple to just turn your torch up for higher temperatures, I always seem to get great flavour and huge rips. I've never had a good banger and carb cab set up, definitely been wanting to get one soon.

My Hydrobrick Maxx is my oil rig though.

Ugh I got serious V.A.S. at the moment for one of these bad-boys. Pretty sure I'm gonna order one within the next week, my gf just ordered me the Pax 3 as an early birthday present, but my V.A.S. is not satiated without this fucker in my possession.

Do you think it could be said that SB products provide the best flavor of any vape out there (better than say FF2, with veteran technique) when proper torch tech is applied?

I just ordered a PAX 3, but I really want this too because flavor was top priority (well after a vape that was generally portable because my volcano classic amd and long term borrow of my friend's crafty weren't cutting it), but also I enjoy not relying on a battery and the worst technical difficulty would appear to be broken intake or mouthpiece which cost under $35 to replace collectively which is not bad at all. What the fuck is not to love?!

Really stoked to order one of these!

For body between Walnut or Cherry what does the FC think?

i definitely think it could be SAID...but everyone has a different truth. for me it is very true, but i haven't tried the FF line of vaporizers yet.

if you have the patience to learn the vape...its time. get one.

"best flavour" might be to much. Who could decide this? But well heated it delivers really, really tasty flavours, better than most other vapes. In the beginning it may be coincidence finding the sweet spot. But if you taste it the first time it increases your motivation to stand the learning curve. There is a thin line between awesome taste and effects and awful ones. But you will learn to hold this line - mostly ;)

Walnut vs Cherry? Depends on your liking and priorities. Some people say as regards taste cherry is the more neutral one, walnut may deliver a hint of taste of its one. I have a walnut and I taste it too but it's really just a hint and it doesnt bother me in no way. But walnut looks much better than cherry IMO.
So what are your priorities?

EDIT: @WakeAndVape Very good vid and manual! :tup:

As @Hogni said, it's hard to say the "best flavor." Flavor is very subjective, but I haven't had anything tastier including the FF2.

I hosted poker last week and had my Grasshopper, Crafty and Sticky Brick ready for the evening.
My guests first tried the hopper through a water piece and were impressed with the cloud.
We passed the Crafty around for a session and folks were again impressed with the clouds.
Passed the Stick Brick Junior around and got, "wow"s from each person. All four said the taste was extraordinary.

Another inspiring vid @WakeAndVape. Thanks and keep up the good work.

@WakeAndVape:
Great video, as always! :tup:

Your videos were a big factor in me purchasing the OG Brick and I'm grateful to you for bringing me into the Sticky family so to speak. The video was really well done, lots of great little touches and details like Junior itself. I love when it's on its side and the magnets pull it together with that sound effect. And you have to love classic dialogue like this:

"So now that you're ready to go... let's fuck shit up!"

@AmsterDAB16:
I agree with everyone else, flavor is highly subjective but I find the Junior to be top notch in that regard. I haven't tried a Firefly 2 to be fair, but the Junior competes with my Cloud Evo flavor wise. Maybe not quite as pure because of the wood, but capable of bigger bursts of juicy flavorfull goodness.

The wood taste is very subtle, especially with a fresh bowl. I tend to taste it more at the end, and it actually improves the flavor of those last few high temp hits in my opinion. You get a subtle and pleasant wood flavor and less of the harsh burnt popcorn taste that some other vapes produce.

Well I just ordered one in walnut from vapefiend.co.uk, well I think I did, card was charged but got no conformation email nor did it show up in my purchase history on my site-account.

Figured I will follow up tomorrow during regular business hours with a call/email to customer support, unless anyone here is affiliated with said site and can expedite the speedy resolution of this (assuming I've still received no confirmation). Grrr hopefully everything is fine I've just got VAS for this thing something fierce!

Definitely one of the best for flavor, and overall vapor singature for that matter, way better than FF1 or FF2 in my experience (which by the way even Milaana and MistVape Touch outperform imo... Noochie and VapCap can also taste pretty fantastic, Elevape too actually). Compared to session conduction like Pax, pretty much any on demand convection vape will taste worlds better (with better efficiency and power, hit for hit), and yeah StickyBrick Jr is absolutely one of the best. Period. :2c::peace:

I agree completely w this. Jr def has some of the best flavor and it is worth the smaller/harsher vapor path.

Now to decide whether to stick w walnut or opt for another wood...

Oh also I've never had any harshness at all with Jr, so easy to control and such a smooth long angled vapor path just like it's big brother and sister... Also no wood taste with the cedar, only once when I was hitting an emotional bowl went a little harder with the flame and did taste a hint of cedar like you get when you grill salmon on a cedar plank... Very cool. I've found Walnut and Chery to be pretty equal too, both my W Lily and C Daisy needed a little breaking in, my cedar Jr and my spalted maple beta Jr did not at all. Most new wood does though

@AmsterDAB16

Congrats!

But btw dont forget to order in- and outtake and o-rings as replacement if they should have them in stock!

Its glass! My unclosed SBJ has often overturn on the table but - thanks universe - nothing happened up to now. As a precaution I will order these replacement parts myself at SB these days.

Quickly broken - but long unnecessary waiting for replacement in case of cases!

So, shot an email to vapefiend's customer support team and received a near instantaneous response (kudos), confirming my order was in fact processed and will be shipped out this afternoon via Royal Mail! (double kudos)

VAS VAS VAS

I have a grace glass water adapter for one of those flowermate dab-pens, the attachment point is a conical joint in which the rubber mouthpiece of pen fits into snugly. I'm wondering if I could turn it into an aqua mod for the SBJ by taking the mouth piece from the pen top inserted into the adapter bottom inserted into a whip tube and the other end of the whip insert into the mouth piece (or mouthpiece insert on the wood body), what say you FC, would this work? Anyway I'll try to upload pics of said water-adapter later.

Last shot in the dark, any FC faithful situated in Amsterdam know a place to get such whips for a reasonable price?

Edit: add to that inquiry a physical store in Amsterdam where I can find high-quality (quadruple/quintuple-refined) butane regularly?

TIA
