Hey guys I brought a percolator recommended on here and I was warned if i'm unlucky it might not fit straight into the vape.

So it doesn't fit the vape... what's my best option to connect it? The mflb draw whip/tubing? I think I was told i'd need that if it didn't fit it was just ages ago. Thanks.

If your perc has a 14mm female you can do this. The Alfa mouthpiece and this Arizer 14mm gong stem are being held together by a short piece of food grade tubing (can't remember the inner diameter, but it's perfectly snug). The Alfa MP slides halfway into the tubing while the other half of the MP slides into the Alfa.
I got the $4 stem from China on ebay. I never use the Alfa without it.

I made another little discovery with the Alfa a couple of weeks ago. I decided to order a pack of 4 pyrex glass drinking straws, they're about 10" long with an angled top section. These fit tightly into the Alfa mouthpiece which holds them up and steady very well. Not ideal for out and about but at home, my vapour is missing contact with the silicone mouthpiece almost completely and then travelling through 10" of glass which has resulted in lovely cool vapour that you can see in the tube. It works well with the sip technique too with no more loss of vapour than the standard mouthpiece. Not sure how to upload pics on here but these straws are available on auction sites and online for only a few $/£ and it has really improved home use of the Alfa for me. Also the extra height means I can hold the Alfa in front of my chest as a pose to right up to my lips so I feel more like Sherlock Holmes and less like a teenager with a potatoe pipe.

hi, how you satisfied with him? everything holds even after a long time ok (doors, covers etc.)? How long they are charged and how long to use? Thank you. PS: Seeking more sensitive than the vaporizer arizer solo but something of the same quality ..

You should do some research and decide what kind of service or warranty you want, as I think this company are the subject of a buy out or other difficulty.
And if it's for someone sensitive to heat, the reason I didn't buy this vape to date is because the 'exhaust' is supposed to get awfully hot to the mouth. And the last few pages and pictures of this thread are testament to many workarounds for excessive mouthpiece heat out of the box/as designed.

It's all a pity as they are becoming affordable now and there are still good reports about things like the oven design, durability and size of this unit.

Here's a quote from the previous page:
And yes we have zero support from Goboof, no responses this week about servicing my covered unit. What is going on with this co? They shouldn't just leave that website up like all is well....

Its a shame this vape never got the PR and acclaim that the Pax 2 did. Just as portable, same vapor quality, same if not better build quality, cheaper, and much simpler to maintain. Pax MP's get hot on the mouth too if youre trying to rip it. Sipping is the key. This is a sippers vape anyway. I also put a small piece of organic cotton in the stock MP which significantly reduces heat on the lips.

The Alfa get some cons, akward loading, no usb charge, no replacable battery and the hot mp issue (never was an issue for me, just be carefull to keep your lips away from the mainstream) although the vapor quality is not a joke, taste is the better a conduction unit can offers. About clouds it is impressive cause you need a very hard and long hit to clear totally the vapor, it's a sign of how powerfull is the heater.

Smooth vapor is where the Alfa shines, imho, I never cough using it on low and medium settings and nothing is as stealth as this vape is !

I thought Gooboff was out of business.... but it seems they are coming back with colored Alfa!

If the color is the only difference definitly go for a black one, for 99$ that's a steal!

Iv been seeing that the alfa weights 103 grams from older post online, mine weights 114 grams. Also the latch having holes in the metal on the part that covers the chamber (must be for air flow). On the inside of my latch the metal part is solid (must be for more restricted airflow). Are the old reviews online a older model and is mine just the newer version? My alfa was bought within the last year.

I also found a way that works really well with vaping concentrates with the alfa, pack a .1 of herb into the alfa then add about a .1 of shatter or wax then add another .2 of herb and use on the med/hi setting. I found no visible messy reclaim inside the chamber of my alfa after my sessions but the insides are a little sticky but thats because the herbs absorbs all of the oils and the bud after is always completely vaped and dried out, so the shatter does completely vaporize. Although the chamber does not get messy after sessions the resin does build up more in the air path and mouthpiece and the latch will get a little sticky so you well need to clean it more often with iso and q tips or pip cleaners. I find this to be a better way to use the alfa, The extra shatter in with the normal .3 of herb I would vaporized anyways makes it a more flavourful experience with way more and bigger vapour production and a lot better high.

Hi @Joeyvapes , when did you buy your Alfa ? Where ?
Mine weights 106g and has a few holes on the herb chamber's door..you sya you don't have any ?

Indeed, hash/concentrate with sandwich method works really well ! I like to use my alfa with a small dab rig : the mouthpiece easily get in a 10mm male joint. Much easier on the throad and I find the Alfa to not be so "pure" about the taste so i don't mind using water for huge water-conditioned vapor clouds.

Well, don't know what to say .. probably they changed some parts from supplier in production, hence the different weight ? In the car industry I know this is something common.. Maybe they are producing them in another factory ?

Anyway that would be nice to have some comments on the holes from the chamber door, as ou say I supposed as well air-flow was dependant of this feature. It's quite a big detail, but this company isn't really open on discussion or information, thats for sure !

Maybe they improved the design and don't make it official so old customers don't complain ? I mean : if they would make the unit really airtight from the electronics, for ex... ?

Bought my Alfa around September '15 from Vaposhop .. Maybe some other customers from last year can comment ?

BTW @Joeyvapes have you tried to contact them, at goboof ?

Yes that is what i thought also about my unit being a little different maybe i just have a newer model and the air flow is still very good without the holes in the chamber door. Yes i did contact them once but before i noticed that issue my concern was the heat up times sometimes can take 30 seconds or a couple minutes my unit also take longer to charge then they say they do and if i charge my unit for 6 hours(from a completely dead unit) until its fully charged and unplug the charger and plug it back in the light is always red and i tried once to see how long it would take to go green and it was about 3-4 more hours. Also the unit did shut off randomly but only twice and it was mid session so only a couple minutes after i started vaping. Also i timed each session i had on a full charge and got about an 50 minutes of usage and once i said that and told them my unit does not perform any where near what they say the alfa does i recieved no answer from them. All the same im impressed by it, it does perform well and i havent had any other issue with it i just think they exaggerated the heat up times and battery life and charge times.

I charged mine today and I think it took more or less 3h but not 6. Maybe it was not fully dead, but it took really long still blinking on "low" so I thought "dead". So maybe try to stop charging after 3h ? I don't know seriously if that would be good or not .. I'm not a battery specialist, it's sad they can't help or answer.
Maybe get back to them and don't hesitate to ask more.

Jumped on the reduced price Xmas Alfa. Think I know why its $99, no f@$#&n charger included. Plus $30 shipping cost. Methinks the other colors are perhaps a lure to help clear out the old stock of black models. I really liked my first unit, great battery life, discreet, and good effects for a conduction vape. I will have to ask my buddy down South if he has been using his.......wink,wink . You know who you are.......

can anyone tell me if the Alfa can be used with the MFLB Orbiter glass, if so what will I need to make it work ?

The glass stem from the MFLB fits into the mouthpiece of the Alfa. So as long as you have the stem you have all you need.

IIRC the orbiter has all of the connections necessary to make it work with a MFLB or other vape that you can hook it to.

The hole in the middle of the ALFA mouthpiece fits the Orbiter whip or other MFLB mouthpieces.

FYI there are less expensive ways to condition Alfa vapor to make it more tolerable.

Really? Please do share as my Alfa seems tuned VERY hot.

TIA!

We can start with two MFLB products : the bottle rocket and UFO each under $30. IIRC.

One can also use silicone tubing from the MFLB or any other vape and end the tubing with proper 14 mm or 18 mm connectors which fit most water conditioning tools.

Strange but it looks like they tuned the units hotter cause mine (one of the first batch) is really smooth on low, more cloudy but still tolerable on med and I'm using high only with water filtration. Maybe it's not specific to your unit since you are not alone to report this issue...

What is your favourite vaporisation temperature? (I ask cause if you are an ultralow temp addict it might be the issue since the low setting is 190°C if I remenber well...)
