Need more pics :) I am very very excited for my name to come up and seeing this thread get bumped always makes me more excited.

The recent additions really add a lot to this device and the extremely quick (and well-implemented) response to user feedback is something that shows a lot as to the nature of the manufacturer.

@mistvaporizer very nice so far , been trying to follow the best i can & i know my name is on the list for this great product. I had a question as it seems this vape has been evolving and evolving. For the people that purchase and as the vape evolves , will be eligible for updates to have our unit sent in and turned into the latest edition/updated model ?

I realize that the question was not posed to me, but the question leaves me perplexed.

Why would @mistvaporizer update units that work just because he revised the design?

Can you please give me an example of companies that give free updates (hardware not software)?

Thanks

To me it seems like a more personable vape. I see the battery door was redesigned , so I am wondering if when I get my unit something like that can be updated + whatever else may come. Many companies update there vapes usually a few years apart. This has been getting minor updates and improvements very quickly . Personally I like to have the latest improvement to my vape if it is something that will improve it and make it better like the battery door for example or a different coil that mistvape is already working on and stated it can be upgrading by sending in . So that is in example of an update that is already being offered , I can't name any companies for you except mistvape bc they are already doing it. I wanted to know about other elements of the vape that we can possibly have upgraded . I am not looking for something for free , I expect to pay if need be. I don't understand how a question like that could leave you perplexed but to each is own . If mistvape does offer the ability to update certain aspects of the vapes you can stick with your og style vape , it's your choice .

No couldn't do that. Generally the upgrades need to be done from the start of production, so retrofits are difficult.

Many vapes & accessories. Always happy to help
Doing the double screen with a full basket screen pack and getting six to seven giant hits. :) Love the longer stem.

Yeah the long stem is so much smoother ofcourse, cool in blue too, just gotta time trigger right. I still need to post photos don't I?

Hey guys, what's the length of the long ones? I have one in the works by @Alan and would love to have a long enough one for even smoother hits.

Thanks :)

I been working, got 30 frames almost ready to go

Finally got some stems made, took forever but they look good
a2cf0i5.jpg

And I just got this baby
CEbJ1i3.jpg

It is an arbor press that I am going to convert into a screen press. The block with the round part sticking out is the male part of the screen maker. Still have to make the female part and mount both to the press. I have been looking for one of these for a long time. Finally found one at a decent price.
Hopefully next week I'll start making screens with it and will let everyone know. I plan to do some two screen kits that will make it easier to use the front screen. I am finding that is incredibly economical, every time I think the load is spent I stir it and get more.
Last but not least I have 100 circuit boards being made, they should come on Monday. That will cost me more than I like but I don't have to solder them suckers by hand, that's a relief.
So end of next week or beginning of the following week those 30 units will be ready to roll.

Got the screen press working.

The cool thing for me is the top part with rod sticking out is designed so the rod comes out and I can replace it with different sizes. The bottom part is similar. So I can make any size screen from about 1/2" down to maybe 1/4" by just making the matching part.
Here are two screens in a stem, no herb.

And here is the same stem with about .05 g
UYJTdNz.jpg

that is a loose load so I'm guessing .08 g is easy to do.
I'll send stems and screens to testers next week.
@Fat Freddy not concrete, that is just a close up so hard to tell from the pic. You are probably looking at the base of the press, it's painted gray (but not 50 shades of)
The press is actually just sitting on a workbench, haven't even bolted it down yet.
@Shit Snacks these stems are 14/20 and the female heater is 14/23. That means you get 3 mm of space between the end of the stem and the heater screen, so if it sticks out some no problem.
Another cool thing, according to Alan and I believe him, if you swap screen positions occasionally they never clogged. So you push out the bottom screen, put the top screen in the base of the stem and use what used to be the bottom screen on top. The bottom screen gets vaped clean.

That was quick! Dont know why I am surprised coming from you though ;)

That looks great! I know it's more time consuming but trimming the edges of the basket would be a nice touch too if possible. I love how this will make pre loading several stems like capsules really easy out and about with the four-battery case! Well done

Yo, what is the glass piece you are holding and why is it special? It looks like the female connector in the body, but it looks thicker and not tapered. If so are these available in other sizes?

@Bandoo the glass piece is a stem. I had these made, they are 14/20 ground glass joints with a recess half inch deep and .35" diameter. This gives a ledge which catches the screen, makes it easier to load and clean the stem. If you look at post #715 you can see a small ledge on the inside of the stem. And at $9 each they are reasonably priced.
@stark1 I have been thinking about that but I don't have a way to discreetly display the list. I could do fc handles but not everyone is associated with fc. I have asked my web person to look at creating a page that you can enter your email on and it gives you your position. Not sure if that will happen but maybe.
What do other member think about a public list of their fc handle and their position on the list?
