am I the only one who thinks the fixed glass screen gong is way too shallow, doesn't really give you much room for flexibility
I'm ok with chamber depth on the glass screen stems...yeah, its .05 max but that's actually the way I like to use my Enano (more or less...well, maybe a bit more sometimes but I do generally vape small loads w the nano).

My issue with them vice the adjustable basket screen type is particles getting past the glass screen. Answer is to use very rough hand torn....really small chunks of nugs.....works quite well and I'm usually a grind fine kind of guy.

Cheers

Small bowls are great and very effective. However, if there was more chamber depth, you could do larger loads AND STILL do smaller loads for micro dosing. If the screen is going to be fixed, you think it would be setup with more depth so it has a wider range of use.

Yeah, the particulate getting into the bong water is annoying, especially when it sticks to reclaim in my water tool. I usually run a kettle of boiling water through my bong and bowl everyday, but the particulate can stick to the oil even after that.

Something about the glass screen gong makes it feel purer but of course the heat source itself is wrapped in metal so what's the point of even bothering with the glass screen. I'm sure it's all in my head but it just feels purer, hah.

It's all ok now. I put the fire out, but only after it burned down the garage. I think I lost a cat too. I probably should have unplugged it first. Now you tell me.

I'll tell you one thing for truth. I've used my 14mm gong so often that the glass is just lined with a encrusted lacquer of hardened vape honey (or whatever the hell they call it.) I'm thinking of trying @CarolKing's recipe of hot cocoa with a sprig of 14mm gong added to stir with. My only fear is that there is so much oil in there, that I'll get far too whacked for my own good. I understand that a good edible whacking can last for several hours.

HaHa on the "fire".

If you think your gooey glass may be a little too potent, try this. I do it sometimes when I have a few pieces of glass to clean (from nano and others). Boil some milk (make sure you know how to do this first!). Lightly drop all of your glass into this for about 5 minutes. Stir very gently! Pull the pieces one at a time with tongs. Let them cool a little before you rinse with hot water, and stand there amazed by how clean they are with just a rinse. Let your milk cool. Get a feel for the dosage. The milk will stay fresh for about as long as it would have from the original jug. Use as much or as little milk as you like in hot cocoa, tea, coffee, on your oatmeal, whatever. When you use this method of reclaim and to clean your glass, what the wand hash mixes with is the fats in whatever you boil in. So, with hot cocoa it is just going to the milk part anyway (that's why it doesn't work well with instant/hot water added cocoa). More milk = easier transfer. I never do the hot cocoa thing. Just do the milk and if not too strong just make the cocoa with it while still warm.

I agree the fixed screen is the least adaptable (load wise) as to too shallow that depends on the user. Take a look at the load sizes folks are using in the micro dose thread, those flexible screen loads can be real small.

I don't have any of the new ones, but always found the old ones too large. I'm not the one who suggested they be made smaller (I like adjustables much better), but I get it.

If you keep your stainless steel screens clean, all should be pretty pure. ;)

Wow just felt the real power of my new nano last night. Usually run it low for better taste but turned it up last night and it put me on my ass. I couldn't run it higher when I originally received it due to my sinuses, but I am blown away at how well it extracts. Milks my little bubbler like my vapcap ti cocobolo vong, but does it with less.

So 2 questions,
How many hits do you normally get from a pack? And I mean real hits not wispy crap, just because you can see a bit of vapor. I usually can get 3-5 with average high grade.
And how long should I expect the temperature change to set\take effect after I change the setting on an already hot running nano?

Thanks
I use my Enano as a session vape. You can adjust the screen a little lower if you need to. My heat is anywhere from 5.75 to 6.50 on the dial. I use a medium grind. If I'm not getting enough vapor I turn the heat up. If it's too harsh I turn it down. My session is usually 10 min or so and I probably get around 10 draws. I don't count - it could be more. I give my load a stir about half way through my session. My ABV is usually medium to a dark brown color when spent with a few lighter flakes.

We all have different strnghths in our lungs and how sensitive our throats are. One person might be able to take huuuuge lung busting draws and another person might be more of a sipper.

I have the best tasting Grand Daddy Purp in my nano right now - love that grape/berry taste. The nano is a flavor maker.

You ever start on your second or third bowl and realize that you're only half-way through, but that last cloud was intense, and your afraid to finish off the bowl for fear that it could be One Toke Over the Line? :o

What do you do in that case? I ask of each and every one of you.

I usually stop hitting it, since the load won't get cooked at all once you remove the stem. I've left packed stems out overnight and probably longer before finishing them.

Occasionally if I think it will be the last hit I might go for it even if I don't need it, just so I can start fresh next time. I only do this if I have no plans in the immediate future.

Something about the glass screen gong makes it feel purer but of course the heat source itself is wrapped in metal so what's the point of even bothering with the glass screen. I'm sure it's all in my head but it just feels purer, hah.

There's two things to consider here. The air path, which constitutes the entire path the incoming air takes before it reaches your lips. The E-Nano has stainless steel in the air path. Stainless steel in general is very safe and flavor neutral.

There is also the vapor path, which constitutes the entire path the vapor travels once it leaves your material. When using a glass stem with the nano there is no metal in the vapor path, but stainless steel is in the air path. With an adjustable stem there is also a stainless steel basket screen in the vapor path.

Personally I think I might be able to taste a extremely small difference between the two, with the glass screen tasting ever so slightly better. It could just be placebo as expectations can influence your perception of the results if that makes sense. Either way, the difference is so minute that I vastly prefer the adjustable screen for the versatility. I like a medium to fine grind with this stem.

The adjustable screen stem still tastes amazingly pure to me. Occasionally on special occasions I break out the glass screen stem and tear off a chunk of some of my private reserve long-cure stash. Using large chunks enhances flavor at the expense of vapor density. I bump my temp down .25 or even .5 sometimes for these sessions.

Wow, I have found with hand torn chunks that I need to up my temp about .25. So, I'm generally about 6.25 for grind and 6.5 for chunks.

Chunks taste good :-)

I would have to bump up the temp to get the same vapor production, but these are specifically lower temp tasting sessions.

I use a fairly high temp already, with the adjustable stems and a medium to fine grind, my temps run from 6.5-6.75 depending on strain. I don't temp step much at all, I need the higher temps for medical reasons. If I temp step it's just for tasting purposes again, just a nice treat once in a while.

The E-Nano tastes great even at higher temperatures. The flavor doesn't last as long, but you can get a bigger initial burst of flavor from the massive amounts of terps being released at once. You have to push it pretty hard to get that burnt popcorn taste, I really only get it when pushing my temps higher than normal, maybe 7-7.25 and even then it's much better tasting than most other vaporizers at equivalent temperature settings.

And I agree, chunks are very tasty indeed! :)

To get the most out of the chunky nugs, break them up and keep vaping. Either break them up with a stir in the stem, or dump them out and just crush between fingers. Or if you use your ABV as I do, just make sure all of it gets to the tin and used before it degrades too much. For me, I'd still squeeze all I could out first, then dump in the ABV tin.

Point is, if you're vaping chunky nugs and not breaking them down further (or using them later), you're probably leaving a lot of actives behind.

Could someone please confirm if i will be hit with a customs tax charge if i import one of these into the UK?
Much appreciated
When we ship to UK we list the value at $29 now so the tax should be minimal.

I will make some fixed glass screens with a deeper bowl to see what the demand is for them. I will post here when they are available on the website which should be later this week.

FCLOVE should give you free shipping..?

I'd be up for a deeper bowl all glass stem/gong too.

Anyone else have this problem, my first nano clicked on where it was supposed to, then i got a replacement because the wood cracked, that one would not click on to 1.5-1.7 and stopped on 10, and hardto run it at a 1.5 higher IE 5.5 on my 1st would be like 7.5 on the 2nd, then i got a warranty upgrade for $65 bux and hits dial dose the same thing clicking on at 1.5-1.7 & am thing it runs similar to the 2nd unit so i am thinking about returning the cord for one that clicks on where it is supposed to so i can use full power when i hit concentrates

it takes real talent to break not one but 2 glass stems in a 24 hour period.

Is anyone making stems out of wood or something more durable than glass?

Thanks!

If it is a marking problem of the dial then this. All the cords I have used are somewhat different from each other too as far as the numbers on dial and the actual heat coming off the heater. So I recalibrate the new dials performance points in my head and forget the old points on the old cord.

There is Ed's TnT on the board that makes (or did) really nice wood and metal stems for the Nano. Then there is the old dodge of taking a piece or silicone tubing (as a stem) and inserting it INTO a water tool adapter. I use a .49" OD piece of tubing I got from Amazon in the role. Good Luck

Not a heater problem, and not really cord problem, but a dial problem. Think this is a lot of reason all nanos perform differently. No two dial labels are exactly the same.

Very easy to fix, though! If they haven't changed, you can pop the dial off and put it back on closer to where you would like it. Carefully pry it off. Easiest from the side that sticks out a bit, and might have to use something with two tongs (one on each side of center). Pop it off and check out all the little teeth underneath. Put it back on wherever you want it to be, just make sure you line teeth up. Can make it click on at 0 or 5 if you want. Think 1.5 or so click on is about normal, though. This used to be more common and there is much on it way back in this thread.

EDIT: Forgot to say I wouldn't make a habit of doing this too much. Prying and putting back on is likely to lead to a loose dial if you do it over and over. Pull, set where you like it, and leave it alone. I imagine if you keep playing with it you may have to add some glue further down the road.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, however you look at it.
I don't get "high". With my neuro damage, my "thinking side" doesn't get the effects. I've never had the one toke over experience.

I have gotten very clumsy, though, as my body absorbs all the meds, but the heady effect. Yeah, I don't really get that much.

I also leave my ENano on 24/7, and I usually do 3 or 4 stems (3 draws each), in order to get my medicated effects. No head, however. Darn it all.
