@stinkytofus : I'm sorry to say that mate, but you really should be better off perfecting your technique (which is rather the culprit, this vape HAS a learning curve to get good results)

That being said, I didn't see anyone mention the post counter-screwing check recently, although if you got a recent device it shouldn't be necessary anymore? But just to be sure, try to screw the post counter-clockwise fully. Mine gets unscrewed over time and by flapping the lid around opened and closed, and I need to screw it back tightly regularly otherwise the device feels like dead/anemic.

Its high contact resistance, my lid and battery is very hot after a session and it shouldnt be, i sanded with 400 grit sand paper, cleaned with iso and used a polishing cloth and polished it

Pray for a good result for me tn

I will try to screw it counterclock wise today as well

Well the post unscrewing does create a bad contact in fact, did you check it?
I will tn for sure, but after putting all the hardware in, then putting battery in, the copper plate hovers pretty much on top of the battery, so although this might be the problem, but im afraid it might not be but i will check for sure

took like 8 15-18 second hits
lid was cold till last few hits
after 8, it was warm, battery was very warm

no vapor but im high..

im using 420edc bullet shots then i used a regular short stem, edc bullet i didn't pack too tight, very loose pack, regular stem as well, loose packed, still no vapor

i mean i tried tight packing that for sure didn't work, i packed loose, should i pack even looser?

i dont know why im getting none to very little vapor

Could be the bud, I've had this before. Even nice bud sometimes doesn't give off that much Vapor, gets you high but not much cloud. I'd try some other bud if you can, or try another vape to see if you get more cloud production (dunno what others you have but if you are getting more clouds out of most other portables than the Mi something is up)

Try pushing down on the copper lid while hittin your Mi? Make sure it is contacting the battery properly...
Also have have a look under the lid at the nipple still nice and round? Mine developed a flat spot which caused an issue. Where only the edge of the flat was contacting, drastically reducing the surface area, fixed with a fine sanding sponge (dont know what else to call it... a sponge with sand paper stuck on it).
And did you try my paper towl trick? Nothing else would work for me I washed and rinsed loads of times but wasnt any good till the paper went through.
You really gotta make sure you jamb it in good then twist like your doing the screw up until the paper comes out the other side. You can see the thread cut into the paper bullet in the pics I put up...

Right sorry for rambling I really hope you get it working otherwise it sounds like it could be in need of a trip to the mother ship.

You could also try some Blu Tac to clean the threads. It's a good trick for the GH and would work for post of the Milaana, too.
Would you be able to shoot a close up of your copper battery lid? How's the nipple?:brow::cool:
How do the post look like now? After towel/Blu Tac?

It's strange to hear all this. Never had any issues - but high contact resistance is the only thing known for all this...

Good luck!

Yea i jambed the threads with thick paper towel, its pretty clean, i cleaned it last week, but did it yesterday to make sure

Maybe i should push battery down and then tighten it ? What i did before, but i was afraid u push the spring too far down or that wouldnt be an issue ?

Ya i sanded with 400 grit, the contact areas are shinier than the rest of the lid, i even sanded the brass and metal pieces, washed with iso and used a polishing cloth

Saw you are using our TopHats (glass cylinder with glass screen on one side). Is this the case? This setup requires a lot of technique to master and the most important part is lift-off. You need to draw hard enough on the mouthpiece in order to lift the TopHat off the internal stainless steel screen inside the female glass. If you aren't drawing hard enough, you'll likely not get much vapor. To know you are drawing hard enough, you should actually hear the TopHat seat to the other internal glass screen (are you using a 420EDC slim (no internal screen just a taper in the glass) or screened stem?).

My suggestion to you would be to use a stock RBT stem with stainless steel screen until you have troubleshot your battery and electrical continuity. Once you are getting good vapor on a brief preheat and extended draw, then you might want to try playing around with the TopHat and 420EDC stems, but until then, I would avoid using them until you figure out if the issue is your device, your draw technique, a combination of the two etc.

I wonder if the units with clear coat got some on the nipple causing HR at the battery contact not the post? Just a thought... wouldnt hurt hitting that area with a sanding to be on the safe side...

@Shit Snacks you won't believe how many times I check Instagram and here waiting for Ryan to post a picture of mine lol. I, like @b0, at least have a Mi already, imagine what its like waiting when you don't even have one

Haha I know, I'm still using a beta v1 basically and I do count myself very lucky! Though I hope to have a new fancy rare wood unit myself some time in the near future too...

im using the tophats because the screens clog up so fast, so i use tophat lol
Gorgeous @b0 that's really nice spalting there

I also really like this one in the center here, like half grey spikes, great work as always @RastaBuddhaTao! Some lucky owners

I'm not on IG, but I got my friend following RBT after showing him the beginning of my custom and he sent me the pic of my completed one today :) Think he's jealous, may sell him my v1 once I get this guy in.

I'm originally from LI (like my friend on IG) so it's nice to have a piece of NY with me.

Mine looks really amazing. I love how the grain lines up across the end cap. Thank you. Glad to be a part of this.

Sorry, I do need to do a vid on this. Fine to medium grit or steel wool. Yup, only the surface between the copper lid and the brass thumb screw need to be cleaned.

Hi Ryan, The Milaana didnt arrive to Boston. My friend left on sunday night and it still hadn't arrived.
Can you track it? I have a re-shipper in the US if you can get it...Thanks.

Hey @Bandoo sorry bud, Boston is like a three hour drive... Usually Priority get there in two days flat. Looks like they delivered it today... emailed ya the tracking info.

@Cl4ud3 thanks for the likes on IG. I totally agree that IG is the only social media that I can tollerate lol. I just push notifications to Twitter and FB from IG :) I am actually really enjoying IG in that it is really all about the pics. You can # search things like #headyglass or #USmade or #Milaana and it will pull in all the related images. I plan to start promoting the 500 follower contest (Thanks @DieHard ) as we are just over half way there... so if you haven't entered sign-up and enter because the number of entries will be far less than 500 so the probability of winning will be high.

Orders and repairs should be current buy the end of the week so please email me if you don't get a confirmation email of your unit being shipped.

Thanks again for the patience. @cannabis.pro is now stocked up with units as well as Vaped.com and Vaped.ca by @realvaped and @PlanetVape will be stocked in the coming weeks. All retailers will have maple and and a limited number of specialty woods while the spalted maple will be an RBT exclusive. Priority on Zion in the coming months will allow for production of just a few splated Milaana so keep your eye out for them on the www.
