Using my Enano right now and have loaded up something called Appalachian Power I had never seen this before. It has awesome taste and a very good Sativa, a sweet, fruity flavor. Anything in your Enano?

Will have to keep an eye out for the Appalachian Power. Sounds like something that used to be around locally until about 5-6 years ago. I'm playing with a nice Indica heavy hybrid tonight. Unnamed - to me at least - but grapey and citrusy at the same time. Very tasty and very effective!

HI Carol - been running Fire OG and some Mr Nice in my Enano. I did take some advise from the board here and now instead of running with ground herb I am roughly hand tearing it into small nugs and stuffing them in there. Better taste, less charring I think, and certainly less particulants through the screen. I did find that I have to increase the temp by .2 - .25 or so on the dial with whole nug chunks but that's no issue. I'm running about 6.65 - 6.7 on the dial.

I'm running God bud, which is indica-dom I believe, through the ol nano right now.

FWIW, I still like my fine-ish grind with the nano. Lately I've been grinding with a GR8TR vape grinder (fine plate). Sometimes still do rough tear, also.
I think the finer grind gives me more even vaping, and gives that extra hit after a stir. Downsides are, screens get dirtier faster; have to be careful with tamp so as not to restrict flow; and small bits that get through (not a big problem if caught in water of bubb).
If you do choose to grind, always a good idea to dry your material just a bit prior to grinding. Quick method is to loosely fold a piece of plain white paper around your nug and put it on the cable box - or something else warm - for an hour. This time of year with dry air and heater running, a couple hours out of the jar works just fine.
Nothing wrong with small whole nugs, fine grind, or anywhere in between. Whatever floats your boat!

Wow just felt the real power of my new nano last night. Usually run it low for better taste but turned it up last night and it put me on my ass. I couldn't run it higher when I originally received it due to my sinuses, but I am blown away at how well it extracts. Milks my little bubbler like my vapcap ti cocobolo vong, but does it with less.
So 2 questions,
How many hits do you normally get from a pack? And I mean real hits not wispy crap, just because you can see a bit of vapor. I usually can get 3-5 with average high grade.
And how long should I expect the temperature change to set\take effect after I change the setting on an already hot running nano?

Hi @flotntoke - I'm definitely a grinder kind of guy (New Vape fine grinder for the most part) and have a couple of small pollen boxes in which I dry my ground herb a bit to make it ready. It does expose more surface to the hot air flow and fine grind should definitely aid extraction.
YES, with the gongs who cares about particulants but one of the things I like about the Enano is not have to get a bunch of paraphernalia out to use it. The stems are quick and simple but I do find particulants getting through. I may try to make a small degummed hemp filter, ala' @Squiby and the filters she uses on her VapCaps, and see if that would help.

If you had to replace you E-Nano as your primary vape what would you select out of your current vape inventory and if you wish, why? I would end up with my LSV because I am a log type guy and that’s as close as I can come to the E-Nano out of my current in house selection. How about you, what’s on your bench?

Well Sir (or Madame), it varies from nano to nano to nano, and so on.. For my standard walnut model, the likes of whom I've never named, I get 3-4 solid hits. The first is not the cloudiest, but it has the most flavor. Then a big cloud, a stir, and another big cloud (sometimes the biggyest). And then sometimes I'll go for one more which is lighter, but it is the stoniest hit.
If you turn it down from a higher setting it usually takes a minute or two to cool. I will blow on the heater a few times to kick er' in the arse.
Same amount of time in the other direction, only without the ass-kicking.
You ever start on your second or third bowl and realize that you're only half-way through, but that last cloud was intense, and your afraid to finish off the bowl for fear that it could be One Toke Over the Line?
What do you do in that case? I ask of each and every one of you.

Glad to hear of another psyched new member of nano-nation! Amazing how it can be even more efficient (material-wise) than a VC, isn't it? This is why I still consider nano the GREATEST vape!
Hits from a load really does depend on a few variables, but I agree with @BabyFacedFinster - 3-4 good hits seems to be the norm with my small loads. Really should weigh since I finally got a scale that goes down to .01 g, but haven't. Based on how a gram lasts me, I'd say my loads are right around .1 g. Will update with actual weight soon.
Time for temp changes depends on a few things. Which way are you going? How much are you going? Ambient room temp? etc., etc. If going 1 dial notch or less in either direction, it should adjust in 3-4 minutes - tops! Blowing on it helps if going lower, cupping top in hands helps if going higher. Usually I'm not bumping it more than 1/2 unless dial got knocked way off in between uses. 1/2 never seems to take more than 2 minutes for temp shift.

Not trying to be difficult, but nano would be my replacement. If I had to order a new one, I'd be damned near killing my HI, Mi and VC to make it through until delivery. Fortunately I have a back up, and another at my sometimes alternate address, so I should be good to go. I could see where an LSV might be a good addition, but haven't seen the need to purchase one because nano is my PERFECT vape. And, my HI is nice if I want a change of pace. I do like it. Mine is a tiny one and have one of Alan's cool small VVPS units. I wish I could say I can get the same kind of hits out of it as I do my nano, and I can get close. But, still prefer the nano.

Enano just landed after much appreciated warranty repair (not product failure - thanks Andy!) and absence has made the heart grow fonder.
Besides having my vape station dialed in for it (aromatop and gongs) I really missed the dosage control. Easiest and most efficient dosing of all my vapes and now I realize I am basically microdosing 90+% of the time. Spillfree stirring of a gong on a D-series bubbler is just about ideal as my daily driver.

Just received my Maple Burl E-nano one day after it was ordered. I could not believe it arrived so quick. I have read through this thread and read how owners leave their vape powered all the time. Some even leave them powered to their preferred setting. Mine is warmer than ambient temperature at 4 and begins to get hot if at 5.5 for an hour or so. Is this typical? If I heat soak the Enano it will be hot to the touch around the middle section of the log. I am concerned this amount of prolonged heat will prematurely age the wood and cause damage?

Luck of the draw on wood, some wooden things last for a very long time with hard use and minimal care other well crafted and tended wooden items fail early on. With that crap shoot approach in mind I let my Nano run about sixteen hours a day and sort of exspect it to fail at any moment. If it working when I pick it up I am happy and if it fails I am not surprised. Just do what feels right, I guess.

They say if it is going to crack it generally does it in the first few months. That's obviously not always the case and maybe it's just the law of averages.
I have been getting some cannabis crust landing at the bottom of the metal collar of my nanner. I tried a dry Q-tip but it's not getting all the gunk. Is it safe to run a damp paper towel (with iso) down in the there and swab it out?

Officially, NO. It could ignite. Unofficially, yes. Just make sure all the ISO evaporates out. I would use the long q-tips with ISO. Do another round with just a little water to clean out the ISO. Dry as best you can. Give it an hour or two just to be sure all is dry, then heat it up to get rid of the rest of any moisture.

I like the idea of wiping it out with a wet swab afterwards.

I'd hit it with a moist (H2O) then a dry Q-tip to pick up any excess, heat on low (3-4) for 15 minutes to evaporate any residue and sniff for any ISO smell, then be back to regular use if smells OK. But... that's just for me!
Truth be told, I usually give it a good dusting in there once or twice a month with a piece of tissue on a skewer stick or pen. That does it for me because I almost always use my nano inverted. I'm just cleaning out any dust that may have fallen in when not in use. And, the one time I did "clean" inside I just used a little water on a Q-tip which did the trick.

I Just ordered 2 new fixed screen stems about 6 months ago.They are much more shallow than the originals that i had 3 years ago..I liked the older ones a lot more.

It's all ok now. I put the fire out, but only after it burned down the garage. I think I lost a cat too. I probably should have unplugged it first. Now you tell me.
I'll tell you one thing for truth. I've used my 14mm gong so often that the glass is just lined with a encrusted lacquer of hardened vape honey (or whatever the hell they call it.) I'm thinking of trying @CarolKing's recipe of hot cocoa with a sprig of 14mm gong added to stir with. My only fear is that there is so much oil in there, that I'll get far too whacked for my own good. I understand that a good edible whacking can last for several hours.

I agree the fixed screen is the least adaptable (load wise) as to too shallow that depends on the user. Take a look at the load sizes folks are using in the micro dose thread, those flexible screen loads can be real small.
The only other vape i like as much as my nano is my SSV which has a LSV heater cover which i use with the SSV Ground glass wand, & a DDave screen the 18mm one on the end of the ground glass wand, i can load pretty much the same size bowl and on like between 2-230 on my dial i can finish a bowl in 2 hits,,sometimes with a wispy 3rd hit, but 2 massive hits
