I feel I have some to offer but can't realize it in my head.

Thanks for the confirmation, about 25mg each (40 to the gram), makes sense to me and now 'fits' with my experience.

I know what you mean about the above. It's really confusing when all the little voices talk at once isn't it? Common these days, you see folks on the evening news doing it too......

Thanks again,

I think you meant 375°F/190°F.

Happy New Year old friend. Glad to see we're both still here. :)

(And to you too @fernand)

Yep.....sorta.... I really run at 390F actually, but really goofed up 'rounding up' it seems. 400 was what I was shooting for. But I will stand firm on the metric version, I did mean 190 C (not F), which is basically the same temperature.

Serious goof on my part, good catch on yours. I hope nobody was paying attention to me as it's too old to edit at this point.........

Thanks. Yer right, good to be above ground, scaring the women and horses still.......if only from time to time.

Playing with a DT 3 in Cabo
Hey! What a nice photo! Great moments heh? :D Which mod is this in your hand again? Looks sweet!

So hey guys! Just found out the other day that you guys are into mods for good with those sweet DT attys! Over at the DIY threads with @Pipes' beautiful creations we are playing with these TCR mods as well but you have been doing it for longer and there is some really nice info in here!

Got myself a Cuboid as my first mod and today I also grabbed a Pico. Pico is really sweet and tiny and I think it will become my daily with my Project. :luv:

CEu98LR.jpg

What I noticed actually is that the Pico seems to hold the temp of my coil much better than the Cuboid. I can see no pulsing of the glow at all while with the Cuboid (both with the stock firmware and the myevic one) there is obvious pulsing. I thought they had the same chips and algos but as I see it the Pico is doing a superior job. Have you noticed similar results with your use?

Glad you're enjoying Pico, it's a neat thing and a personal favorite for sure. Compromises that suit me well, I have several. You might consider it's (new) little brother, Nano......yes, I know Nano is 1000 times bigger than Pico in the real world, tell them, they named them. Anyway that's it in the center:
WUXoDZR.jpg

It's a bit shorter, not nearly as wide and thinner. All in all much more compact and 'pocket worthy'. You have to live with 40 Watts max and internal battery of only 1.4 AH but for true portable use I think it's got a clear edge.

As far as pulsing the power, they all do. Just some too fast for you to see. Processor systems like this generally do one thing at a time, then leap to the next, then the next in a 'loop'. Checking to see if there's a button pressed, then checking the battery, then the temperature, changing the display, turning the heater on and off and so on. Wave your vapes around in a dark room and notice the display leaves dots as trails? That's why.

So I don't doubt it a bit, but have never seen it in the glow of the load since the ones I'm using (DT doughnuts) seem to have a "time constant" longer than the "refresh" period where you don't?

Fun stuff, you get a lot of smarts for twenty or thirty bucks......provided you're smart enough to take advantage of it?

Thanks for the visit, best wishes to you and the coven.

ill PM you for your paypal info

which donut does that fit? the 10mm or the 17mm? or both?

thank you!
Yer welcome.

The ODs are the same (the base is common), the rim is thicker on the smaller doughnut version.

To answer your next question, yes, the lead spacing is the same, too. Fits the same base.......

Hey guys I'm down here on vacation and I got a divine tribe atty prior to coming. I bought matts little combo pack off his site with the eleaf mod and the atty. I'm wondering what setting you guys use?

Just wanted to say I love my DT V3 so far. I am trying to quit smoking cigs and so I picked up an RDA the vaporesso transformer. The donut fits in the postless configuration(loosely). I really like it because I can get right onto the donut when I am loading, with out unscrewing screws. The mouthpiece is either too small or the airflow is too high, depending on which mouth piece I use. So I am still

I am using TC Ti 30w 340 degrees. Has anyone tried the articfox firmware for their pico? I put it on my evic vtwo.

Gentle Friends,

I just got my WPAs and 'Factory Hydrotube' from the Man. I hurt myself with it last night......someone seems to have gone through a lot of concentrate........

First thought, those who haven't jumped in are missing a bet big time. The combination of V3, a clean doughnut, fresh load and that big old bubbler makes for a powerful tool for good and right. Way more than we MMJ types really need IMO. Anyway, if you missed it, back up and reconsider.

The bubbler isn't perfect (for instance the bottom on mine isn't flat, it 'rocks' on the table top) but I'm not willing to pay twice or more the price for such minor details. While you might not want to boast about it with guys with $300 pieces of glass, it's nothing to be ashamed of for sure and it does an excellent job. A big improvement in that way over my PNWT or FBomb.

The revised (shortened) WPAs are first rate. They could probably be a bit (say 1/4 inch?) shorter since the part that fits the V3 is deeper than needed, but that's 'diminishing returns' country IMO. The design is solid and useful. You should get one if you already have a hydrotube. I used it with a 'top entry' bubbler by using one of those inverted U combiners guys use to hook up two vapes at once with a plug in the top fitting.

Now to two 'new product' suggestions. Not really new, I suggest transferring two newly proven imporvements to V3 backwards to V2.5/2.7. First, make WPAs for the smaller atty like the V3. IMO V2.5 still has a very valid market going forward. It 'has it's place in the line up' and would benefit from this new style short adapter.

Secondly, I think black V2.5s and 2.7s would sell well. Not the lame black glazed white ceramic like the counterfeits that used to be popular, but the same 'all black' ceramic used with V3. I'm sure I'd buy several to replace the white ones which look a bit out of place to me on black (or even my 'wood grain') mods. For public use they would be much more discrete than the 'bright white' version we now enjoy.

So, in summary, my request is for new style WPAs and black ceramic bodies for the V2.5/2.7 like the ones for V3.

Best holiday wishes for all.

Riviera Maya I take it? Nice. There's a wide range of settings people are using, but TCR 245, temp 380-420F is a good starting point and most of the DT attys will function at that setting, but maybe not optimally. The 2.5's work like gangbusters at 245, as do the medium donuts in the 3.0. The large, high resistance donuts may need a higher TCR value (or you can just ramp up the temp if you aren't worried about the screen displaying an accurate temp reading). The lower resistance large donuts may require a lower TCR value, but I'm not sure if they are still shipping those.

Excellent advice, with a minor correction on the TCR value for the big guy. We need more heat, so a lower value (unless you run the temperature way up). I'm currently using 170 for a m value with them.

Also important is the power setting. I recommend 12.5 Watts (max) for the 2.5 and small V3, with 18 Watts for the big guy. To clean switch to VW mode and a cautious 17 Watts for the little guys, 24 for the big guy. You need to be careful cleaning, I killed an otherwise good medium doughnut that way. They are cheap enough and easy to replace, but some caution can avoid premature failure.

Anyway, we're using some mods with truly heroic power potential (even the little Pico is good for 75 Watts?), It's important to keep an eye on this, hopefully TCR will prevent over temperature, but hitting it with so much power is tougher on the doughnut that necessary.......like laying rubber leaving every streetlight and stop sign?

Anyway, those numbers should get you off to a solid start, tweak them to suit your fancy?

Are you using 170 on the high resistance large donuts (~0.6Ω)? Couldn't get mine to produce much vapor at that setting. I've seen some folks using TCR >300. However on the low resistance large donuts (<0.5Ω, which I prefer by the way) I use a TCR value in the low 200s and I get the best vapor production/quality.

Does anyone know why they're shipping only the hi res donuts now?
I have both the low and high resistance large v3 donuts. One for home and one for out and about. For the low resistance large v3 donut I use tcr 300 at 400-420F with 21w. For the higher resistance large v3 donut I use tcr 700 (yes 700!!!) at 400-420F with 21w. Both have identical behavior and vapor production/quality. However, the donut with TCR 700 will not reach temp protection but still performs identically to the donut with TCR 300. At first I really preferred the lower resistance donuts but now they are all the same to me. If the numbers don't scare you off, give it a try. I arrived at these number simply through trial and error. The settings @OF are recommending are definitely more based off math and of course his own experience. I'm not sure if the math makes sense for my settings but I just know it works for me

Matt,

Have you tried the dual 7mm donut atomizer for the Cubis Pro Mini that Donkey made?

Finally got my med delivery the other night, and it had my PopNaturals order... made a rookie mistake loading mine the 1st time around, but corrected it and it's still kicking butt. Load through the SLOTS.

This thing is effin' AWESOME, I LOVE IT!!!
Break yours out, load up the tank and give it a few rips, it's bloody brilliant :)

I'm going to endeavor to keep my tank full of 1-1 ratio PopNaturals CO2 oil :)

Thanks again Vape Donkey!

Hey guys I'm back again when I vape from my V3 my piece and when I exhale the vapor reaks heavily of dankness its horrible. Does anyone know how to lower the smell or if the medium donut smells less when vaped. To be fair I have put about 3 grams through it I have gotten by running my battery at 40W till it glows about twice and the donut turns white. Oil does seem to pool around the donut and underneath and also around the cup alot and into the screws.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Its weird because I could vape oil all day with my small donut on the 2.7 and my V3 large donut smells literally just as bad if not worse than my oil rig.
