Does bud quality affect the amount of hits you get off with a vaporizer?

I bought 2 new vaporizers the crafty, and the davinci iq. I have been having trouble getting getting a lot of hits. At first I thought it was the davinci, but then I tried the crafty and I got the same results. I only get 3-4 hits off both of them. I never had this problem before I have been vaping for 2 years. I recently switched from vaping medical marijuana to vaping home grown that I get from a friend. Could that be the reason why I get a little bit of hits?

It sure could be! Have you ever tried looking at the material through a magnifier? Generally, the more resin heads you see the more vapor it will be produce. That's oversimplifying a bit, but probably a good starting point.

I have not but I do notice it does not smell as pungent as the bud I get from a dispensary and it also had a couple of seeds. I almost returned my davinci iq but noticed that the crafty had similar results which was a coincidence, I only got 3 hits off both. I have owned the crafty before, this is my second unit so I know how it works, I normally get 10-15 hits off the crafty.

If your material is poor, you're not going to get much vapor off of it. This is another difference with combusting... You can smoke shit-weed and catch a buzz - maybe not get ripped, but still a buzz. If your stash is really sub-standard, you have to vape a lot to feel anything.

Seeds on a female plant is often a reaction to stress during the maturation process but more often its just normal fertilization. Either way it probably means a decrease in bud quality. Try some different bud before you throw in the towel.
