Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Herbie has a fan and can do bags. EVO no fan. Herbie is less tippy and has no glass internals other than the EVO (which can be used upside down.) So you can keep it where you wouldn't want to place the EVO.

Herbie is digital for controlled temps. :science: EVO - a simple analog dial and an imaginary clock setting. :p I own an EQ which does what the EVO is not designed to do. Both use the same adapters sizes. So I can do things like air dry my HT with the fan from the EQ.:) No heat, just air.

My CFX can use the ELB's so thats another form of contrast and compliment with a desktop and a portable. I like the option of being able to take a half vaped ELB out of my EVO and put it in my CFX and leave the house.

Is it safe for the evo to be lying done instead of standing up when not in use?

It's not designed to set on it's side anyway. Wouldn't it tend to roll off of a flat surface. :o There might be something about the electronics and insulation to consider.

I have held it 90 degrees and pull from it. Then set it down. But I wouldn't set it on it's side. I've used it upside down enough times. But when it is at rest, all 4 feet are on the ground.

It's a long piece of glass internally. It sets tall unlike the Herbie

I'm also careful about the exposed parts of the bamboo.

Most of them can be used thousands of times before they start to deteriorate. Only few weak ones that have the welds badly made from the factory will live shortly. I have used about 4 ELBs in rotation for 3 years, 3-5 ELBs per day and only like 3 have broken in these 4 years and had to be replaced.
I wouldn't recommend torching it because it degrades the metal. Maybe still safe to vape but a black ELB looks disgusting. The welds wouldn't probably get broken from that, they were made by heat in the first place, maybe it might shorten their lifespan though.
Just get a glass mason jar just tiny enough to hold all the ELBs you want to clean, pour some acetone in it, put ELBs in, close it, shake for 15 seconds, take them out, rinse and they're like new. And you can keep the acetone in the closed jar to reuse it many times.
Acetone is friendly to glass and stainless steel (but not friendly to silicone) and it cleans much faster than any other solvent I've tried.

F-ing love acetone, my number one favorite solvent for everything. But in the midwest all the meth-heads made it hard to come by. I have to put on coverall and a carhart to go buy it out here without drawing attention the way i normally look. That would be ideal, but, as long as im not going to melt a weld or due something toxic to the non-mesh part of the basket I'm okay with shortening the life span. I have plans to acquire vast quantities of ELBs to load my oz per week on the weekend and then seal them up for week long use. Maybe xD Self control and Clouds don't mix.

I would assume its about as safe as using it inverted, but i wouldn't leave it there for more than a minute or 2 because the recommneded invert time is like 90 seconds.

I lay mine sideways on my bed sometimes while i'm grabbing a new ELB or grinding, but would never leave it that way.

Weighted feet for the bottom of the EVO? I thought someone had them on Shareways but i can't find them anymore.

Damn, that sucks, didn't know acetone has anything to do with meth. If it's hard to get, then just get high-proof isopropyl alcohol, also friendly to glass, maybe not as friendly to stainless according to these tables (nut probably still okay): https://www.coleparmer.com/Chemical-Resistance
It doesn't clean as rapidly as acetone, but works and many people clean vape stuff with it.
It's also friendly to silicone and is disinfencting unlike acetone.

Well have to break myself of leaving it upside down for long periods. Perhaps not the best thing for putting stress on the socket.

Some added weight on the bottom would be helpful If I were to add feet to it.

Thought about some safety feature using the Velcro straps on the heat shield to perhaps anchor it more. They aren't of much use to me and get in the way when I want to pick up and set it down easily. Anybody have a fixed area, ideas or setup to keep your EVO anchored?

So glad that my main EVO has it's own grey colored power cord extension plugged in permanently into the back of the unit. Pluses? Well, Less plugging and unplugging from the unit. It likes that. Plus I can wrap the cord around the EVO to protect it when I put it away. Unravel and plug it into any of the PC cords I have handy. Misplaced them? Well I'll just unplug the monitor from my 2nd PC and attach it to the extention. :D Also there is less time and fuss with cable management.

There is nothing about the insulation or electronics that prevents EVO from laying on its side however if it is hot and in use you may not want to do that for too long.

Don't worry, not a problem. The electronics bay is separated from the rest of EVO by an LCP wall. Just don't leave it inverted for a long time because eventually heat will soak that compartment and heat ages electronic components.

Maybe @nenmayk can make an EVO stand like the 2qan. I would like to see some rubber feet on it though.

Edit: The stand can not block the air intake.

There is a slight inside notch on the front feet. So any feet placed there would tend to stay on better. Will give that some thought. The 2qan Mighty design is worth checking out. :cool:Guess the feet on the EVO doesn't necessarily have to be 4 separate feet for the best stability option. Even a full base that allows airflow to the bottom. Maybe an air filter to keep particles out.

I'm also thinking some overly elaborate base that might magnify the lighting from the bottom part of the bamboo. So you can tell what color your bamboo is without taking anything off of the top. Because for me, certain types of light can make the green almost invisible. Dream big FCers. :science:

Herb gardener...
Anybody have a fixed area, ideas or setup to keep your EVO anchored?

When I first got my evo I was worried about anchoring....
Coming from and eq, I was concerned about the steadiness of the evo....

But I needn't of worried...
The evo is a different beast....
It likes to be held....

It's not the eq that stays planted, I think any sort of base, for me, would be unnecessary, and possibly evo get in the way and caus and accident....

I also wouldn't want the evo to weight anymore....
I like the weight proportions between the ht and evo... I think it works well as it is....

The only thing I would change with the evo is a rim on the inside of the nail...

So I'm taking a stay-cation today and plan to try my new EVO out for the first time. I've still got a touch of a cough, so I'm going to take it slow.

In the meanwhile, I thought I would pass on a handy solution for keeping one's Hydrabase stuck to your desk/tabletop. I bought one of those two sided sticky pads that you use to keep your GPS, phone, etc from sliding around your dash. While it's no doubt going to be a dust and lint collector, you can fortunately wash them with soap and water and they return to their original sticky glory.

Works like a charm.

Im exited for you.....

Can't go wrong with Vapefiend....
It's nice to have an official vapexhale hydratube of some sort..... you may as well get it with a bundle so it's cheaper...

You can always add cheap dhgate pieces later...
This is just my opinion obviously....

If your in UK and you order now, you will get it for Saturday....
