I've had that issue on both my MVTs. Dave even sent me another door but it didnt fix the issue. I wrote about my fix a few pages back

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/mistvape-touch.23205/page-14#post-1058548
Thanks but this only fixes the smaller issue, if I do this I probably won't have to push the door down but what about the touch button? It seems it's pressed all the time so as soon as door close it heats up and keeps on heating until I pull the door out.

Many vapes & accessories. Always happy to help

I know you wrote you'd double checked that the positive terminal is up... Usually the permanent heating should only occur when the NEGATIVE side is up. I wonder what happened, if you swapped your battery the other way.. I DON'T encourage you to do that cause it might be harmful, if you don't take the battery out after some secs - but I still wonder, if you might have mixed up the terminals..?

Don't mean to question your ability to identify the correct terminals! Just trying to make sure, it's all correct..
Good luck - if not, I'm sure Dave will have you covered soon after returning from holidays

This happened to @Stu's beta too so looks like you'll have to send it back actually, doesnt sound right if battery + up does that, could try reverse to see if it's just opposite, but probably needs @mistvaporizer when he's back from vacation. Sorry dude, sucks when that happens with a new toy, but Dave will get you right asap

Yeah man I was really careful to get it right the first time, so no issue there..

Negative side up seems not to be doing anything at all.

Well I will probably have to ship it back across the ocean unless Dave has some magical solution in his pocket I could handle myself :-)

Other than this it can be used when using the "push-the-door-down" instead of the touch button and I agree with the consensus here, it is an awesome, simple yet very efficient device. Especially with the wooden stem it looks gorgeous and can extract my microdoses in 1-2 hits perfectly.

Really looking to get my issue fixed so I can start using it as my daily driver. Recommend this to anyone!

Haha so like a wooden button at the top for you that you can flip to be a safety switch like normal? That doesn't sound too bad actually, until you can get it proper at least...

I'm curious given the similarities why a milaana owner would buy one of these. What are the aspects of this vape that appeal.

Other than everything I laid out for you, I think the bottom line answer to that question is a Milaana owner would really only get one for pure VAS because you are right there is no real practical reason to own both honestly (I don't know how many Milaana owners even bought one? Just someone on Reddit I think)

I'm in line. I'm getting one just to have it.

It seems interesting and the wood is very nice looking.

It'll mostly be a fun toy, I'm asssuming. I don't think it will replace my Milaana but idk, I just want it just to have it. Pure VAS. But it also looks nice and is cheap enough to where it's not a huge deal.

@polopo54 Did you post pics of your MVT w wood stems? lemme seeeeee

Also, @HellsWindStaff has both iirc.

Yeah I am a Mist tester, but was an RBT tester first. HWS got Mi after Touch and had been wanting to try it for a while. @vapen00b is the crazier one who bought MVT when he already had Milaana (among many others) ;)
If RBT is really going to stop Zion production maybe you all can work on something like that next. I hopefully will get mine via RBT but it just seems like it should continue to be available given what those of you who own it have said.

Agreed but there is so much behind the scenes there and here too that we don't even know let alone understand. These products are all essentially one guy in a garage shop, they may be working together a bit now with some other helpers and at varying stages, but this is just the state of the industry. I bet some big manufacturer will make something like the Zion, like an on demand EVO/LSV that is portable, with mass produced plastic/metal parts so the functionality may live on regardless. Hopefully there will always be a place for the more hand-crafted small batch all natural side in the industry, but that is difficult to sustain as we've seen with Triihouse and even Thermovape unfortunately, not an easy way to make money

If he drops it I'd love to see an fc member take over and make some tweaks like with the sticky brick/daisy. Depending on the changes made I'd probably be in.

If only an amazing fc member were around that could do such a thing *cough*cough* @mistvaporizer *cough*cough*

I believe I'm #53.

I ask this frequently on all portables, but will this work well with concentrates without using hemp fiber or a bed of flowers? I want to use a pad from either my mighty or herbalizer in a bowl, hold the button, and get success like a firefly 2 (it seems like the ff2 does well with concentrates).

You might have to cut down the pad as the MVT's bowl is quite petite but is definitely a go! :)

Love the price on this thing, my vas buy didn't make me feel guilty at all this time.

I wanted to ask how people are timing their hits, reading through it looks like most people do 2 second pre-heat and 6 for the hit. I've been hand tearing and putting chunks in, then do a 4 second pre-heat and then 8 seconds while I draw slowly. I start off doing less to enjoy the flavor as much as possible, but eventually settle in around that. Not sure if I need the extra time because I don't grind. I'm trying to get to no stir, but I think it needs at least one stir. I'm still messing around with that though.

Also does anyone know how to order the different colored stems? I don't see it on the site, but I looked on my phone and the site is a bit messed up on mobile for me so I could of just missed it.

Fellow vapor brother
This vape is extremely efficient with waxes and concentrates. Temperature goes very high. And between each three to four hits, I knock it into my hand. Best way for me.

Where's the list?

Let me double check but you just shoot an email to Dave. It's either info@mistvaporizer.com or dave but can't recall off head

Edit: looks like you use this now:
http://www.mistvaporizer.com

Double Edit: I do indeed own both, and agree with SS in the sense that while they do compliment each other nicely, to most people they will be practically identical. I got my MVT first, and got a Milaana on massive discount primarily to directly compare to the MVT. I like the MVT more, but personal preference and I am still in the early stages with my Milaana. The MVT is easier to control, is less harsh dry, and has better battery life fme, (I am averaging 6-8 stems on the MVT while averaging 4-5 on the Milaana) with better results on the tail end of the batteries with the MVT. The Milaana seems to roast more evenly and I don't need to rotate the stem or anything like that, and IMO is easier to use through water with the bigger heater/18 mm opening. I tend to crush MVT stems through water in like 2 hits, and the first hit is a huge bomb of flavor and vapor and the second hit is just pennies to the dollar compared to that first hit. With the Mi, the taste lasts longer throughout (strictly speaking through water) and the load is more evenly vaped. I always turn my MVT stem halfway through the session and it's not necessary with Mi

Same I loveeee the price and really looking forward to replaceable coils sometime in the future.

I do the standard 2 second preheat but sometimes I can go to 6 seconds if the battery is getting low. I like that I can pull on it as long as I want if I want to just get one really good hit. I always stir at least once bc I notice i'll get a couple more good hits after a stir but I grind.

I ordered an extra pair of stems and screens from dave. I just sent him a PM through here and he sent me an invoice the same day.
