Looking for the most efficient, "bong-like" Vape

Most bong like vape? VapeXhale Cloud EVO inverted into a bong, vape comparisons aside. You aren't going to get a more bong-like experience of just loading a bowl and ripping. Other methods involve whips into vapes, or one handing a log+stem.

Expensive? Yes. But as far as MOST bong like i don't think its even a question unless your into using heat guns with your bongs.

EDIT: EX bong-smoker, future log vape owner once tolerance drops.

Lots of people mentioning the EVO and log vapes which are both great options to deliver massive efficient hits but I would like to throw in the sublimator too. I absolutely love my sublimator for getting those lay you on your ass vapor bong rips.

... But maybe im just a moron an have been packing it wrong (pack it Petty right, Medium/Fine grind)

@skaav - There is a "be nice" rule here, especially to yourself.;)

Know you started this thread looking for an alternative. Maybe I can help in the Plenty thread or in PM conversations. Might take me a few hours to respond, but I usually have nothing better to do. I'll step aside now ... thread derail thwarted.

The sublimator looks pretty amazing and seems to do what i want, but the pricetag is pretty hefty... not rly sure if the EVO or Herborizer TI are not already close enough to what I want, at about half the price with glass.

From what I saw, the GH does look really nice, as a portable, but i really dont want to have to deal with batteries etc, also pretty substantial bowl size from what i could see. Isnt it supposed to be more of a session Vape?

I dont see why a LSV, or GH, would be superior to the plenty, its not like im not getting satysfying, lung bursting rips ( i coughed my brains out with it, was fuckin awesome xD ), the problem isnt performance, but the way it forces me to always consume a certain amount.

That being said, might just go with a LSV while i save up for the Sublimator xD, the LSV seems to work with smaller amounts, which would already be a huge improvement.

The LSV seems like a portable EVO to me design-wise, if that matters any to you, seems like if you have the money you should get an EVO or go cheaper with the LSV. I can say that, if load size is an issue, the bowls for the EVO only hold 0.1g and it can be turned up enough to cash that out in one hit, or down enough for multiple hits without going stale.

Well man, looks like you've (we've haha) narrowed down your options, I'd go check out either thread, I'm active in the EVO one.

I'm sure between me and lwien we can answer about all the questions you might have. There's gotta be someone here who has both that can give you a better answer...

I'm already lurking thru all the relevant threads, to sum up:

LSV - well within price range, somehow doesnt appeal to me that much, but might give it a try since it comes highly recomended

EVO - wont be able to afford a HT right away, but i have several nice bongs and a nice oil rig so not too worried there, can always get one next month if i feel i need/want one, barely anybody who isnt satisfied with his from what i can see

Herbo TI - only very few reviews, seems good tho, affordable (400 euro with glass) and manufacturer is in EU

Sublimator - looks like a beast, reviews are mixed tho, some people love it for its heavy heavy hits, others seem to hate it for all the bullshit it comes with at that pricepoint. Will have to wait to pull the trigger on this thing, especially if i want glass with it...

I dissagree completely. The ELB can hold more than .1 for a hit. I generally load about .15 and get fantastic performance and a nice sesh but the ELB can hold more for a longer session if you wish.

The sublimator is a fire, trip, and burn hazard. Lots of folks with burns and ruined carpet, that thing gets hot. Also, after trying it a for a bit I found the taste degrades quickly as the unit gets dirty, I never cleaned one but it doesn't look easy. Just my opinion.

Have you looked at the S&B Mighty?

I think I have the same issues as you. I like to take one or two big rips off of a bong and then go about my business and whenever I want come back and do it again. I'm not a session user and I like big hits like I got off smoking with my bong. I got an Elevape Smart 2.0 hoping to get that one or two hit at a time experience and it just doesn't give me the amount of vapor or medication I like (and it's finicky). I got a Focus Pro and use it through water and it gives me clouds I like and really mimics the smoking from a bong experience, but I waste a lot like you do with the plenty. I FINALLY broke down and ordered a Grasshopper which I'm currently waiting for. I wish I would have skipped the ESV2 and ordered two GHs instead since I know they have big reliability issues. But from all my research, and I've done a lot, it seems that when used with water it's the closest we bong smokers can get to that experience with a vape.

If GH was a bit more reliable I would recommend wholeheartedly as well! It hits like nothing I have experienced so far...!

I'm gonna put the GH forward. It has had its reliability issues but HL seem to be improving their output in both quality and speed. I've had to warranty one of my 2x Ti's and it was a painless experience. 5 min to log issue, 8 days (UK user) shipping, a couple of £'s to return the faulty body.

The hopper hits like a bong through a small bubbler.

Bowl is relatively small and you don't have to fully pack it. As it's convection you can micro dose with it if you want. It's also very efficient with the bud, I'm always shocked about how little comes out of the thing after a huge cloudy hit.

Regarding the batteries, Yeh they are small. When I'm at home (90% usage is at hone) I just leave the thing on the OEM charger pre set to temp 5, pop the charger off before a hit, click, pop on MFLB Orbiter, wait 5 secs, rip, remove, click, empty, refill then pop back on charger. The whole process takes about 90 seconds, I collect the AVB as I only hit it once. The high hits like a bong rip and lasts about 2hrs.

Out and about is a little different, I tend to hit it straight up @ T2-3.5 and have to swap batteries every 5x hits or one bowl (8 month old GHB1's). But I don't mind, when out I just love the stealth.

I regret getting 2x hoppers. Don't get me wrong I love mine but the warranty process for me has so far been quick and infrequent and I'd have rather have 1x hopper and 1x <insert one of many options here >, variety and spice and stuff :D

I own an EVO and LSV. I highly recommend both. If price is a concern than get the LSV. IME it performs just as well. Theres just a bit more technique and work involved compared to the EVO.

A grasshopper is really not the greatest option, since EU -> US for Warranty Issues is a pain in the ass, and I also just like products i dont need to return in the first place, and not products that have a good experience when returning them (preferably both xD)

Consider me a fool, but I doubt ANY (electronic) portable Unit as a daily driver for me will be a good choice, since it will be used pretty much hourly, 14-16 hours a day. Every portable Unit I looked at will take a hit from this kind of heavy usage, understandably so.

The LSV is intriguing, and maybe im just not ranking it so highly because hype and design of the EVO are working on me, but then again im still considering Herbo TI, which basically has 0 hype and only 2 reviews on the forum here xD (does look sexy AF tho, and that 400 Euro all-round package is pretty tempting...)

My Limit for now is around 400 Euros, give or take a few bucks.

I parted with my Plenty today :( very sad about it and I really dont enjoy smoking my bong all day anymore. Lets hope my next vape lasts till i can afford to buy a secon one lol.

Well, if everything goes as planned, i'll order something this week, though not sure what as of yet.

there's nothing portable about the LSV. The cord is a dead giveaway

Curious on the heat up time for the LSV and EVO?

Both can produce vapor in under 5 minutes, but to get fully heated the LSV needs about 10 to 15, and the EVO needs about 15 to 20. But I consider one of the real advantages of the LSV to be the ability to leave it on 24/7 like a log vape

I disagree. The EVO heats up just as fast as the LSV and I have operated mine 24/7, with an outlet timer, for well over a year with no problems. However, doing that will void your warranty.

No it doesn't. My LSV reaches full operating temps in 4 minutes.
The EVO might be a minute or two behind this, for my taste anyways, because I am a high temp vaper. I get the best hits from a thoroughly heat soaked EVO and many vapes work much better after a warming period.

Yeah, I vape in the mid-range of temps and I would imagine that if I was a high-temp vaporist, it would take a minute more but 10 to 15 minutes is wayyyyyyyy outside the norm. If an LSV takes that long to get to operating temps, there is something wrong. Could need an adjustment of the heater rod. Either that, or the voltage coming out to that particular LSV is way too low.

As I said, they both produce vapor in under 5 minutes. But my LSV gets warm to the touch at least 5 minutes before my EVO does. The extra mass around the heater results in slower heating, but better overall heat retention.

No it doesn't. My LSV reaches full operating temps in 4 minutes.

Again, they both reach operating temps in under 5 minutes, but what I meant is they won't reach thermal equilibrium in that time. The same as logs, I feel letting them fully heat up produces better results, because the heater isn't fighting as hard against ambient temps. What everyone feels works best for them is anecdotal.

I very much disagree with the heat up temp for the LSV. Like the DBV or SSV, 5 minutes is more than enough. I give the Cloud at least 10-12
