Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

I wouldn't say the whistle means you should back off as i have gotten some great hits hitting mine at the whistle . It will eventually tone down and sometimes go away as you build up some resin in the bamboo , mine has. Also filling the hydra-tubes should be done slowly to avoid the over flow chamber. Like you stated , just enough to cover the perc. I would not keep water in the overflow , i think a droplet or 2 is fine but there have been times people have lifted there hydra tubes fast only to get blowback into the bamboo and some of there electronics wet. I personally had this happen when lifting one of my ht's off its stand.

Only reason I mention that the whistling is an indicator to back off a tad is because it's listed as such on the VXN box. I think they are worried that liquified concentrate could be sucked up out of the slit and fall down into the bamboo and get gross in there.

I agree , i did not know you were speaking about concentrates but i do find hitting it hard with concentrates isn't the best idea. I always have to tell my friends this when they come use the Evo. For Flowers though i seem to enjoy hitting it at that whistle point for those dense huge rips.

Got my EVO yesterday. Of course I have the chest cold of the year, so the damn thing is just sitting on my desk in its functional beauty, taunting me. I can at least do my burn off and hope of no persistent odor/taste.

So, for the time being all I can do is ponder the device. I have to admit dropping in excess of 300 bucks was a tough pill to swallow. While I'm willing to bet they aren't terribly expensive to manufacture, I understand the price tag. First of all, I love the fact that they are made in the US, which I know adds a premium to the cost, but it's a premium I am happy to pay. Secondly, it's not like they mass produce and sell these things in the millions, thus allowing for a lower price. And lastly; well it's a seller's market and from what I gather here, it does a great job w/o plastic in the vapor pathway.

Anyhow, I'm *hoping* to kick this cough soon and take it for a spin, and will report in.

I get the whistle sometimes also (Hydrabomb) so I dont think its the tube.

This thing is incredible! I just got my Evo the other day and this is my 1st day off of work. I know my Evo is going to get a workout today. I have noticed now that I am enjoying some lower temps for dry herb, like 11:30-12:00 and just drawing a little bit slower than normal and slowly watching the vapor develop in the tube. What a joyful experience it is!! :)

Anyone know where I can find any reviews or impressions of the mini hydrabomb or mini turbine? It's on sale at their store for $150 and I'd like a back up incase one ever breaks

So it's been a month now since getting my EVO. All my other VAPES are just sitting collecting dust. Thinking of selling them all and using the cash towards purchasing a back up EVO!

Do it.....

A boxed backup is a nice addition...

Helps keep my ocd at bay with regards to the one I use everyday..
Something about having a new boxed evo stops me worrying about keeping my daily evo clean....

I actually purchased both a Cloud Evo and Herbalizer. I tried to cancel the Herbalizer but would be charged a 15% restock fee. I ended up paying $480 with $48 reward dollars from Vapornation as opposed to getting back $400 with restocking fee. I figured I could sell the Herbalizer on eBay for at least $500. Even though I wanted both I see no reason having another desktop vape with the cloud Evo, it's really that good. I am still debating on keeping it though, bc I did get a really good deal lol

I dont own the Herbalizer but if it were me and the money was not a consideration, I would keep it.

My father surprised me with a turbine hydratube and his custom made hydrafoot, yesterday.

I broke the mouthpiece off the hydratube today while cleaning it in the sink >':
Oh fuck! I got a sink liner....don't know exactly what they are called....goes in the sink and its kind of soft plastic, yeah?....but someday I'm sure I'll break a piece...but not yet.

Do you have a glass maker shop anywhere near you? If only the very end of the MP tube was broken, perhaps someone can remake the MP end for you???

That's not a bad idea! I just dont think I want to part with any of my vapes. May have to ponder on that for a bit. I could also just wait a while, save up some money, and purchase a backup. I am a believer in the Evo, absolutely love it so far.

This has probably been answered and I think I read somewhere that you should only fill the ELB 1/3 or 1/2 full. That is what I have been doing. How many rips to you guys normally get with say 1/3 full ELB? I can get sometimes 2 good hits and 1 very wispy one at 1-2 on the dial. Sometimes it may be 1 good hit and maybe a wispy 2nd one. Is that about right? I know the temps and other factors would affect things, but in general.

Well, the general consensus is that the temperatures associated with any particular dial setting are not absolute or necessarily completely consistent from unit to unit and should be used mainly as a relative scale rather than absolute.

With that said, on my unit I run about 1:00 - 1:30, load about 1/3 of the remaining space with ELB with the cap on, and get 3-4 good draws from it. Number of draws, particularly through water which allows us to draw way more than we would otherwise if we chose, is very variable on draw size/length.

But, sounds like you and I are in the same general ballpark.

....been there....sorry to hear..bought a softer tub to clean glass in....carefully.

Try your local restaurant supply shop. I use a Spill-Stop bar service mat for my counter and some of their interlocking mesh in the bottom of the sink, you can cut it to desired size. I started a thread on this a long time ago, it was called Rubber Baby Bumpers, but the discussion went nowhere and now my pic links are dead (fuck you ImageShack). I really like the bar service mats.

Thank you Baron. I sort of figured I was in the right ballpark. My AVB from this thing is the most consistent of any vape I have tried. Every single one of my ELB's, the AVB is completely uniform and you can just tell the extraction from this thing is amazing! I just finished 2 ELB's with a total of 5 hits, 3 hits from the 1st one at just past 1:00 and then 2 hits from the 2nd ELB at 2:15 and I am extremely baked.

God Bless this machine!! It is doing EXACTLY what I wanted it to do. So amazing when that happens!

I thought about it but was worried something might be wrong with mine and I wouldn't be able to return it bc of final sale, not a bad idea though

Understandable, that was the main thing I pondered over before the purchase. I had done some research online and I mostly found positive reviews. I hardly ever trust any of those reviews unless its like a youtube video from people that do this stuff. I said what the hell and just went for it.

What's up with the sleeve that has temperature markings around the dial? It says 12 o clock is 350f but my temp gun reads about 500-600f.

I know my evo is in working order because I vape just like everyone else (1/4 bowl full, 9-12 for sativa, 12-2 for indica) Never combustion.

Maybe the dial is for the air temp when it hits the herb basket? Anyway this explains why I like to dab at 12 instead of 3 on my evo...
