....hello all.
So I ordered a spare loading chamber kit to replace my o.g. when it finally becomes not so much un-useable but fugly lookin'.
I noticed that it's the same w/ my decarb kit in that it sits in the chamber pretty loose...both the teflon and steel....this is a p.i.t.a. when you don't use baskets...from stirring to dumping it's was all kinds of falling out...and the steel ring gets HOT.
....I'm guessing this will be the norm w/ the replacements...or I'll look at like it is in the future.
I took and cut down to the height of the loading teflon tube,... one of those thin steel shrouds that cover the SSV/DA BUDDHA heat element and come in the little optional pack when you pick up a heater cover....it cuts like nothing with standard scissors....I put it around the teflon tube and slid it in... it's nice and snug...plus adds a little extra conduction which is nice for clouds.
...I also picked up a 12 arm 8" mad rob piece which,..imo...decimates my mobius ion 2 with this vape...it's got that extra pull that puts a little extra pressure on the device...milky.

@EVIL 55 the looseness of the chamber must be a QC thing over there with Hermes. You're not the first person I've read on this thread complain about the looseness of the kits but for some reason I have never experienced this. I've been switching the teflon and decarb kit out almost daily since I've received it and every time I put it in they fit in nice and snug and it can take some real effort to get them out. Maybe email Hermes and see what they say?

@Ratchett stop thinking and start vaping! I second a loading funnel(pretty please)!

So the one thing I want to mention that just occurred to me today was how ridiculously clean this vape stays. It's been about two weeks since I have received my unit and even though it has been used religiously every day since I just now cleaned my minivap for the first time. The crazy thing is though that I didn't even need to clean it, I just wanted to! It probably could have gone another two weeks without a cleaning if I really desired it. I can't really think of any other units in my recent memory that are as easy to keep as clean as this thing. It's making me lazy!

They should both be snug. Start a ticket with Hermes. I've never seen a loose teflon or steel ring. Not sure if it's the rings or your unit but we need to get you sorted out.

Two items: RE loading funnel and how clean MV stays:

1. so what kind of loading funnel are you wanting---for loading the Flexicone wire baskets OR for direct loading the chamber OR able to do both?

2. @sixstringsmash , MV cleanliness?
How do you load now, with the Flexicone baskets OR direct into chamber?

MV with the Flexicone baskets is by far the cleanest vaping piece I've ever used. Once in a long while I clean it, just cuz--although it doesn't really need it :)

To answer your questions in order:

1. For me at least flexicone wire baskets all the way! I was thinking maybe something in the vein of the @Ratchett ELB loading tool he makes for the evo, it seems like it would be convenient for the minivap also. This is the one I'm talking about: http://delta3dstudios.com/VapeXhale-ELB-loading-tool/ . Something like that made for the size of the flexicone would just be awesome!

2. If you haven't guessed by my first answer, I am solely using the flexicone baskets :D. I'm hearing people in this thread talking about the performance they are enjoying from direct loading but honestly I am more than happy enough with the current performance of my minivap with the baskets and I just cant physically bring myself to try a direct load in the chamber. It's like the wire basket is a condom and it would just be wrong for me to go and stick my herb in there without protection!

I talked with him about that concept several months ago and he got real busy with old job/ new expanded store and it kinda fell by the wayside. As much my fault as I didn't push it later as it's so damn easy to load now--- I moved to tweezering individual calyx into the basket for max flavor at lower temps, then break them up for high temps with a 2 second stir. So no grind and pour where loader would be great.
But, that loader would hold the empty baskets steady and could be used for tweezer loads

I'm a 100% basket user too, as IMO, they are by far the best loading system of any vape out there. In fact, I experiment in using them with other vapes cuz they are so sweet!!!
Flexicone basket module with tiny hemp fiber filter above the screen is my go-to setup.
That tiny tiny filter keeps the cannabis dust, that really fine dried powder from vaping, out of my mouth and throat and out of bubbler interiors.
Luv those Flexicones

Almost there...
I mentioned the loose fit of my decarb kit about 4 years ago.
That is the main reason i do not use it because it rattles around and easily falls out.
I was originally told it would snug up, how i have no idea as Stainless Steel does not change dimensions by itself. Even after months of use it falls out.

I prefer the taste of the Teflon though so it sits in a drawer unused.
Clouds were bigger but worse in the flavor department, so it had to go.

My decarb ring sit loosely in my old teflon MV too.

Still enjoying my quick glass core, less tasty but still great I love it cause the shorter and more intense sessions. And cause the better battery life!

Hey everyone....
I think if I were to have gotten my MV new,..under warranty and whatnot I would be much more inclined to suck it up and get the baskets into the mix...
...I'm not sure how the QC's perform over the OG teflon...but I was (in my experience) not getting good results....which could very well be my fault due to lack of patience and technique and unfouded expectations...I suppose it has to be if it rips w/ out a basket.
My concern is that if I spring for a new core is it really going to make that drastic of a difference?.
...only one way to find out I guess...and I like this device alot...enough to take that chance for sure.

Here's a question for you - how many Flexicone's are you looking to load at one time?

I've got an idea for a loading tray capable of filling 8x at a time - is that too many???

IMO, a loading tray for 8 MV baskets is way too many. Much prefer a smaller piece for easy storage or transport and more importantly, I'd guess that the average number of baskets owned is way below 8 and probably below 4???

Could you do a FC poll:
- How many Flexicone modules do you currently own (wire basket plus screen plus Flexicone)? and
- what size loading tray/system do you prefer? 1, 2, 4, 6, 8?

You only get one with the MV kit and they are very pricey so I'd guess most owners do not have big numbers.
For me, a "onesy" loader like the EVO ELB loader would be best.

To hop on @MinnBobber comment I also agree eight is a little much. I personally would probably prefer a one or maybe two basket loader. Four wouldn't hurt though and could still probably be done nicely. You're the idea man though @Ratchett so I'm sure if you come up with something whatever it is it will be a solid addition to the minivap team!

I only get one large basket and one small on rotation and personnaly don't get any use for a loader since my MiniVap is a "portable at home"....maybe it is usefull for vaping on the go..

So I'm thinking of getting some extra baskets from Minivap for when I eventually order my extra power cord to make the shipping costs a little more worthwhile but man ordering a full basket seems to be confusing on this site! So correct me if I'm wrong but to get a functional basket I will need to order 3 separate items from the shop, which would be:

1x O ring filters
1x Baskets
1x Flexicone

Sheesh I wish they made the basket ordering a little simpler!

Correct! 3 items.
It does seem odd that you cannot buy anything from one set to multiples easily.

I keep the silicone nipple with the screen on the lid and only switch the baskets...so if you already own the silicone nipple+screen you can only order some baskets. Not too much, I own 3 large and one small and I never used 2 large ones they send me as a gift (yes MiniVap send me some gifts...when I payed the full price!), they are pretty durable.

I have the supplies here and can sell them to you. I still have to sell them in packs of four, but the shipping will be $10 less for an accessory order.

So here are a couple of pics to show how I use my Hermes water adapter. If you wet the tip of a flexicone the nipple of the water adapter will slide into the flexicone tip through the MiniVap lid. Then push firmly from both sides through the lid until it becomes fixed solidly. In fact you can use the MiniVap upside down in a water tool of your choice, this works better with the mains adapter rather than the battery as this is lighter.
