@Seren - Glad that I am able to make beautiful things for you. Hope you will enjoy them soon.

Have been getting some requests for wooden MistVape Touch stems, so I modified my 14mm WonG tubes to work. I bore the hole for the 10mm screen all the way through the tube now. The screen can be used on either end of the tube and it will accept a 10mm glass mouthpiece tube. The condensed vapor will only be in the glass tube and the wood will stay clean. The wood is 2.5" long so it will fit into a battery case. The glass tube is removable and can be inserted from either end. Here is one made from tulip wood.

Had a request for a 18mm to 14mm adapter in bamboo. I made it so that it will accept 12mm screens and work in the Milaana and also accept 10mm screens and work in the Touch. The best of both vaporizers. One tube to rule them all.

Was playing around with my 14mm GonG tubes and discovered that a silicone sleeve will allow them to fit perfectly into the MistVape Touch. It fits so well that you can shake the unit all you want and the stem will not fall out. I can even pick up the unit by the stem and it won't fall out. The silicone is far enough away from the heat that it doesn't even get hot, plus it only provides a seal. I prefer to use the two screen method to keep from loosing material. The screen position can be adjusted within the tube. The 14mm GonG end works great for a mouthpiece and is always ready for water filtration.

The same concept works for the Milaana stems. They stay in place very well. There is less glass to heat up using the plain end rather than the taper so there is more heat available for roasting. The HI can also be used with the Milaana stems using stacked screens.

Sup all?

Way late... BUT here is some AWESOME Alan made me!

One glass/hybrid two piece mini, one one piece mini part egg part square SS HI, and one mini stash jar!

Also got a mini voltage converter/regulator and a couple MI stems, not pictured... Yet.

Alan was even kind enough to re-turn the partial egg for me as he forgot to round the edges. Super awesome to work with. An absolute pleasure for real. Thanks again Alan, they are amazing!

Sorry for taken so long. Hope y'all enjoy, will get some more pics. :D

So my name will be coming up on the list in the next couple months. I am trying to make sure that I can comfortably afford the piece when that does happen. What is the rough price estimate of a HI with 3-5 stems? How much extra is the vvps?

@slatihe: Those are beautiful pieces. What sort of wood are those made from?
Can I also ask a little about the mini egg/square- why did you choose this unique shape? Or is that one of Alan's ideas?

Amboyana burl.

My blank just wasn't quite big enough and i wanted a lil exta insilation, as my ss satin wood one can get a bit uncomfortably hot, so we compermised. :D

You should probably ask Alan in a PM he'll help you out with prices

Those look awesome @slatihe wish I had that much of Alan's work :)
Thanks! I love his work to. :)

Just take it a piece at a time. Or save during the wait. :p

Alan as website, www.toasty-top.com that might help you with average prices (Shop page, you will see the HI and Roasting Tube style/prices), I do not know if added custom fee for specially made stems but perhaps the website can be of help.

My problem is not knowing price , is knowing which one to go for lol so maybe I'll go with a few too. I do like the sound of the slide load/double screen approach Alan mentions in one of the post , I know I'd prefer less stirring and more vaping . Not sure which Roasting Tube is needed for that or if method can be applied to all.

Still intrigued by the HI-Egg. So you just wanted a piece with a little more wood to make it more comfortable to hold due to heat? Is the HI-Egg also shorter than the other HI or are they the same height? Cant tell from the pics.

They are both the same hight. Both mini hi`s but with difrent cores and outer shape.

Yes, wanted some extra insolation and i just wanted an egg shape cause... Thats just what I i wanted, honestly. My piece was just too small for what i pictured and i really like being able to set it in its sides and bottom. Was originally going to only have small flat spots to rest it on its side only... like much more of a traditional egg.

Extra insolation wasnt really necessary with this wood like with the satin. Doesn't get near as warm to the touch near as fast. In hind sight id like to shrink it down a lil thiner as heat build up wast nearly as bothetsome with theese ones. I still loves it though, and makes me feel beter about taking it on trips ocasionally. I think it mighy help protect it in luggage in route. Prolly a silly concern though. I overly baby them.

Yes the slide-a-bowl is one of my fav, if not my fav ! I got the roasting tube with cork holder but anything could work withthe right stem : 2 different diamter and 1 or 2 dome screen + bamboo stick.

I was using it with my glass-core only but now use it with others logs (SScore) as well.
I did one for myself with parts I had. It's only a fine stem or tube with a sliding bowl (aka : domed screen which you move with a bamboo stick). That one tube (it's exactly same diameter as the heater SS cover) is sliding in a shorter and larger one (larger than heater cover OD) which keep the heater on distance since it get stuck (hgl vape in this case). The silicone is providing the seal over the glass but I can slide easily ... I don't really need another screen here..only one.

Well, simply said : get some dome screen and different tubes/stem configuration. With the "nipple" stem (slide-abowl with cork) alan makes I use 2 screens, one in each tube and I can load a bit more and take some really long sipping without stirring. Those are tasty clouds, you need good lungs for the long steady sipping, but you get a real even extraction.
With the other configuration I use only one screen, and get more roasting / fast hits but still can play with the distance to change the extraction.
it's just nice to be able to sit the stem on the log and puff/sip on it "from above". like a straw in a can or a solo vape.

A part from from that I use a SS and a glass wpa with water and jhook and sometime wooden pipe, that's it !

My man Alan has so many damn stem combinations. Someone needs to help the man out with some webmaster skills! Man, my head spins trying to grasp all the options. I'm always toying around with my pieces, too. Tonight I'm rocking some fresh herb in a frankenstein octopus stem. It feels like a crazy gun in my hand. Not a realistic gun.

It's laying on a piece I'm trying to finish before I go to bed. But I'm on here playing with my phone talking to yall. Anyway, the picture is 11x15"
Yeah, it looks funny, but with the second screen in there and the extreme length, it's cool vapor. I've got the dial turned down a notch and I'm getting long thick 15 second tokes out of it. Anyway, I was JUST saying that the vape feels different depending on what you attach it to. I'm gonna go watch the vapor swirl. And then color some more. lol

OOO OOO OOO I just had an idea! A forum thread for your stems and other products. Man you make so many accessories I know I don't even know about. Normally I might not KNOW that I don't know something, but in this case, I KNOW I DON'T know about all of the creations he makes. And I've read this thread a lot. Maybe a best of. There is a lot of information to sort through for new roasters. I don't know. Just disregard all this. I'm just a stoner.

Ah always so clever Alan! Dual purpose stems, who knew? And yeah I think I know what I want for my stems finally, that dual vape idea is genius so thinking one of those, plus a dedicated Milaana stem and a dedicated Mist stem. Now just need to decide wood types, though Tulip seems like a winner too actually...

Ah I have two slide-a-bowl WonGs specifically to use this way and haven't even tried yet, was using Alan's two screen system first as they came. I need to get back and do it, you reminded me why I wanted to, sounds perfect.

@Snappo - Thanks so much for the kind words. I enjoy creating new things. I hope there are no bounds. I don't see them if they are there.

@slatihe - Thanks for posting the photos. Such beautiful wood. It was a fun challenge to turn a square/curved shape. A lot more hand sanding is involved.

@Bvapst - Glad you are enjoying the Slide-a-Bowl tube. My new 14mm WonG tubes w/ 10mm glass mouthpiece tube is essentially a wooden Slide-a-Bowl tube. Less heat is taken out by the wood, so more is available for roasting.

@Diggy Smalls - Great frankentube. There are so many possibilities with silicone. I'm always thinking of how the tubes can be made better. I end up with a lot of tube combinations / options.
I almost should have my own roasting tube thread since they also work well in so many other vaporizers. Just found out that my 14mm WonG tubes work in a Fire Wood 4. So nice when they work in multiple units.

@Shit Snacks - Glad you like the dual stems. They turned out to be easier to make than I first thought. So nice to have versatility. Will get some stems made for you soon.

So what is the biggest difference in the ss vs glass core? I didn't see it clearly listed, or I'm blind. Thanks

Was chatting with @RastaBuddhaTao recently about how much I was enjoying the on-demand feature of the Milaana using a DC to DC converter box and a fake battery. Having a consistent heat output for consistent roasting and not having to replace the battery makes it so nice to use. Asked about the possibility of a desktop version of the Milaana. The response was the Mi-Log.

Mi-Log.JPG

The power of Milaana in a log shape. This opens up so many possibilities.
I just need to device a practical power supply for it in exchange for the use of RBT heater technology in my hand crafted creations. I am very excited to be working with Ryan to create some beautiful and functional pieces. Hope we have some great success.

So what is the biggest difference in the ss vs glass core? I didn't see it clearly listed, or I'm blind. Thanks
Sorry that I haven't provided the differences on my website yet. The biggest difference between the ss and glass core is the amount of metal mass. Both have the same heating element, but there is a 1/4" ss sleeve over the heating element for the glass heater cover. Since it has a smaller metal mass, it can heat up faster. It is ready in about 2 minutes. The ss heater cover takes about 5 minutes to heat up, but produces hotter air than the glass heater cover at an equal voltage. It takes more hits to complete the roast using using the glass heater cover HI, but they are more tasty. The ss heater cover produces the biggest clouds and allows the use of small ss roasting tubes for micro dosing.

@DieHard - Your spot is up very soon. Hope I can get something perfected for the Mi-Log by then.

Could you perhaps elaborate on this setup a bit? That sounds like something I could use..What kind of DC to DC converter are you using?

Here is my protoype fake battery and dc converter. It is rated for 10A. I have now installed a 5.5mm x 2.1mm socket for the input and connected the wires to the input contacts. Still need to devise an output plug/s that are capable of handling the higher amperage without overheating. The digital voltage display is a nice feature and there is a micro knob for adjusting the output voltage. Have been using a 12v 10A 120W power supply, but an 8A 96W power supply may also work. Will have to give it a try.

Sooo Cool! I'm not sure what the Mi-Log eats in winter but glad I'm on "the list". A portable log I guess, sweet !! Congrats , nice prototype & innovation!

In regards to glass core cover, does anyone roast small or micro-doses still with the Glass core ? is it still possible if tweaking voltage abit higher ; just takes abit longer while tasting better? :)

Also curious if anyone could please share their favorite temperatures for the glass core heater cover? Maybe for slow and fast extractions , both could be practical.
I seen a few temps throughout the thread, just so much (all good ) information to go through. Thanks
