Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

Having such a better experience using a DNA mod with my AC than with the Joyetechs. The temperature control just seems to work much more accurately. You upload the TCR curve for Grade 2 Titanium into the e-scribe software, lock the resistance of the particular coil you're using and set your preferred temperature. And then you download those settings into your mod and you're all set. You can play with the temperature on the mod during a session too, just like the Joyetech, but you don't have to ever worry about the resistance until you swap coils.

The hits are noticeably smoother and more consistent, and no finicky resistance readings, etc. Here's my AC v2 atop my Triade DNA mod...s

Wait till you try the Sirius and Canopus coils. These will be a different ball game.

Man, my omicron hits beautifully on yellow. But something is wrong with my battery. I get one session and then get blinking red lights (maybe 3-4 delicious hits then red blinking lights after a full charge) Did I get a bad battery from the bad batch? I bought the biggest omicron battery during the end of year sale.

I think it's time for support ticket.

Soooo...... what's up with those new atomizers???
I really want to know what's up. I want some and i don't even know what they are

I am starting to think they are either having issues with QC on the new atomizers, or they are refining it in some way. It seemed like they were going to show it off around a month ago on reddit, and since then there hasn't been any new info.

There is an issue with the shipment, customs here has half the other half is in China. Once we clear it up we will be happy to show it off. I do apologize for the wait.

No problem at all , I understand unexpected stuff happens! I am just an impatient customer who is excited because I have loved all of your products except for the Herc, which I have tried to love, but ultimately have realized I do not have the patience to rebuild it and clean it as frequently as I should haha. That's not to say I dislike it either, the flavor is amazing and I love the capacity of it. I am beyond excited to see what you all have come up with this time! (My fingers are crossed for an oil free atomizer:brow:)

Are the new AC v2's 510 threaded? Everything I have from W9 is 601 thread. Don't see any adapter on the DNA mod?

New omicron v4 owner here, very impressed overall!

The machining quality of the components are fanastic and the whole piece has a very nice feel and weight with the big battery and does not feel too big to pocket.

I am curious about my temps though. I'm using a stock double coil and on blue settings (the highest?) it takes 20-30 seconds, pulsed several times, to really heat up. Is that normal? They are not getting close to making the coils glow, just slow and slight bubbling of my material. Using very stable, glass like material.

It is a lot slower process than i anticipated. Most of my experience is with Source Orbs...

Do you have a 510 threaded mod box that you can test the coils on? That way, maybe you can eliminate either the battery or coil as the issue. Definitely not normal what you're experiencing.

Unfortunately not, but I have several of the variable voltage batteries from Source. Can I test in this scenario, with a variable voltage battery, and not ruin my w9 coils and equipment?

Not that anyone would want to vape at the extreme end of the temperature Spektrum, but I'm curious How long of a press does your unit require to glow a coil?

I can't recommend that because I don't know anything about the Source batteries, sorry.

At the blue setting, 19 Watts, if the coil is brand new then it glows after just a few seconds.

Too late to edit above post with more info, but I will add the battery life has remained in the blue or green territory, so nothing obvious with the battery... I tried a second double coil, and it also takes an extraordinary long time to heat and also will not glow even after 10+ second presses. I'm hesitant to hold it longer for fear of damaging anything.

Are there any other obvious items I might check or try to adjust?

I would open a support ticket with W9 - they'll gladly help you troubleshoot.

Not so sure what makes these a different ball game? The Sirius is just a donut coil...which is done and flawed tech when compared to ceramic plate or dish atomizers that are now currently out there. The Canopus are using titanium grade 2 heaters with black ceramic wicks surrounded with a gold plated shell from what little I can find on it. Sounds like a couple of outdated coils to me IMHO.

Just a wild guess but I assumed the coils @THC SCIENTIFIC was referring to are w9 coils that are in development and yet to be released...guessing the same names are a coincidence...once again, just a guess...
