Source Orb Pen Vape

nosmoking

Just so Dab HAppy!
The 40w has Temperature Control, rather Voltage control.

What are you looking for with the Floss SOURCE orb XL? What's your main reason for purchase, so we can find the perfect model for you.
First off, I am also a noob at all this pretty much. I have a good line on some medical grade concentrates now but I was always vaping flowers primarily until July. Since then I have been sticking with primarily concentrates. I have been using the Yocan Evolve Plus with the QDC and Donut Coil atomizers and while they work decent and I prefer the donut over the QDC, I still feel there has to be something better. Something that does not allow reclaim to sit under the heater like donut coils do and does not get caked up like coils do and does not allow reclaim and splatter to stick to the walls. This is where the Terra 2 coils interest me.

I am a high tolerance type of person so the Source orb XL interested me in that you can load a gram in there. I feel a quarter to half gram would be perfect for a quick session or two but with the Yocan Evolve Plus this takes 4 or more atomizers to truly get efficient results from that much concentrate. It either goes under the heating coil or splatters against the walls and sticks around...

On top of all that...I know nothing about mod boxes and have been very hesitant to get one because there are so many and I don't want to learn about them to know what I need to make sure I buy the one that can do everything for what I might ever use it for. I may use this for the Source Nail one day but I don't know. I also like replaceable batteries if your Mod's have this option.

Lastly, the price point was a big point for me. I don't want to spend $200 right now, but I feel like the $120 price point was right up my alley!

If you're looking for the larger capacity, then you're totally right, the Flosstradamus SOURCE orb XL is perfect for you. The included 30w SOURCE volt is pretty straightforward with either Variable Wattage or Variable Voltage, and the SOURCE orb XL allows you the ability to use all 11 available atomizers (2 SOURCE orb XL, 6 SOURCE orb 4, and 3 SOURCE nail), so you can always customize to smaller atomizers for coil-less dabs.

The SOURCE nail attachment will also work with that battery, but the Ceramic SOURCE nail will take longer to heat up.

Make sure to use coupon code TURNUP for 20% off. :)

Anyone know how to work the 40w TC mod? There are no instructions/mabuals for the 40w TC mod on their site. They have one for the 30W device but it does not have TC so there is no information on how to switch. This is my first Mod so I have no clue what I am doing. If anyone wants to recommend temps or voltages or wattages that give them best performance Ibwould appreciate it.

BTW- I am working with the Source Orb 4 TC Vape Pen kit. Just recieved it today!

Edit: I am just guessing only certain atomizers work with TC? I probably read this in this thread already but the Source Terra 2 atomizer seems to only work in VV/VW mode and not TC. The SOURCE nail Gr2 Ti atomizer works in TC mode. I have only tried those two so far.

At 25watts the Terra 2 atomizer will give me tasty hits but they still seem kind of low temp. The nail Gr2 Ti at 550F was a very efffective and tasty hit. More trials and success is sure to come from it but I will gladly take suggestions anyone might have!

I am using a Terra 2 on TC mode with the same battery you have. When you screw it in it gives you the option to check the resistance (Init Res), press up arrow for yes and then square. Will then say successful and put it into TC mode. If you've already screwed in the orb4 press square 3 times and it will say Atomizer, press square, press up arrow once then square when it says Ni300. It should now say Init Res yes again and wait for successful. If not, might need to screw it in tighter, or it might not work either way. I use TC mode and set it anywhere from 350F to 415F. Wattage is 20-24.Let it heat up a bit before you start to draw. Draw slowly with a minimal amount of ventilation.

You can find the info on the battery here: https://sourcevapes.zendesk.com/hc/...use-your-SOURCE-volt-40w-Temp-Control-battery

Yes, you are correct, SOURCE terra 2 and Quartz Plus are not compatible with TC mode, just Variable Wattage mode. We recommend around 30w to get bigger clouds.

Please post your thoughts on each atomizer and reviews!

So far I am just sticking with the Ti nail atomizer. I really like it. I imagine quartz would be much better so I plan to buy the quartz nail atomizers in the future.

I want to also be able to use this as a portable enail with a bubbler that I already have. I do not see an option on your website but will you sell just the nail attachment? I dont need the bubbler, globe and 3 atomizers so the 510 eRig attachment kit is not what I am looking for.

Edit: Also wanted to ask if you have plans for a larger nail option? I am not sure if I need one but...

SOURCEvapes,
Source has the largest product line for all vaping needs and their customer service is 100% top notch. I have purchased:

XL attachment
40W Tc Battery
Terra 2 atty's
Nail attachment
waiting on: recycler bubbler attachment

The range of products Source offers is meant to meet the needs of those who want to dab on the go, low temp and high temp, small or large quantities. The Ti Nail atomizer is my favorite. The Terra 2 is nice and works at high wattage to produce huge hits. All these atomizers are easy to clean but the Ti Nail atty is a notch above is terms of easiness. Just wipe with an alcohol q tip and burn out the leftover on the highest available wattage for that atty. Poof! back to 99% like new. This works for all coiless.

I've had some problems with some of my items. Source vapes will pick up their phone more than half of the time and will call you back shortly every time. They will respond every e-mail with a respectful reply. Most importantly, they will fix the problem and stand by their products. You might think you can find the same product for cheaper on a different website but it won't ship as fast and you won't get the amazing support (and product guarantees) as you will with source.

This is a great company that meets many different needs that have never been covered before now. Other companies will spend years trying to get on Sources level. If you enjoy tasty concentrates theres no reason to not have a Source vape. Search previous pages on this site for discount codes, they don't expire.

I'm not affiliated with Source at all; I am just a customer. If you don't have one, get one. If your thinking about getting a different brand, think about getting five different brands to match what you can do with this one. The source orb is all you need.

IMO the triple coil is too much and I would have gotten the 4 (instead of the XL) if I could go back in time. Reason for this is its a little smaller and I will never use the triple coil. It burns too much oil and I'm not made of money. If you want to vape an entire gram in 2 hits, congratulations you found the vape for you!

Amybody having issues with the Nail atty leaking down into the atty base attachment? I have had my 4 for only a short time and despite some issues I am having I do agree the CS seems very good at Source. Sometimes I get somewhat generic and short responses but they respond quick and do not hassle you to replace an item under warranty if you can show them its not working properly.

While my Source Orb 4 battery and nail were working together correctly I was enjoying it quite a bit but I noticed after 2-3 days of use if I tried to change the atty it would be gunked in sticky black oil. Its easy enough to clean when at home but when on the go this is a major pain in the ass. It also means by day 2 or 3 that there is that same black sticky oil below the removable bucket which means it closer to or on the coil which defeats the damn purpose of the coil-less attys. Does anyone else notice this?

If you're getting material flooding down, use less. This occurs when the materials floods over when vaporizing, it spills out of the bucket or over the attachment itself.

I can't really agree with this. The outside of my atomizer and the base are clean. The leak is between the bucket and the metal washer/screw that holds the bucket in place. A taller bucket similar to the puffco plus would resolve this problem probably. I do like to put more in, so perhaps with less material as you say it would be better. This is why I need Source to make an XL version of the nail attys that is much deeper as well.

Is mod of the Orb 4 Signature Kit the same one like that of the SourceNail?

Its a pitty. Cant pay with different credit cards. Got crazy messages why payment cant happen. Malfunction of the system?

Hogni,
Probably a noob question but I'm trying to run my source orb 4 with ti nail bucket in TC mode on a dna75 lavabox and i get constant ohms too high messages indifferent of what wattage setting (it seems to maintain its own wattage in tc mode?). Does anyone know how to fix this?

Anybody know why my terra atomizers don't like my battery? They cause it to flash 3 times after only a few seconds, it won't go through a full heat cycle. The coil atomizers don't do this at all. I've pulled the pin out a bit but still no luck?

Source sent me a new charger but it still goes to green instantly, or flashes between red and green.

I wish I would have checked my email, I really missed out on the source nail for $35, fuck. :\

Let me correct/clarify my position, whether rumor or not, I've read some of the redit thread and have also gotten messages from other fc'ers with similar suspicions. What moved me to jump was hearing A very similar suspicion from a current Source distributor.

IMO whether it is true or not is almost moot, I felt it relevant to post my decision because I've received messages in the past that my testimonials were the reasons people bought a Orb. So I thought it might be meaningful for those persons to know why I moved on.

Hi FlyingLow!

We'll ship SOURCE slim 4 next week, we had to delay due to the Holiday Season and new regulations.

If you're referring to the temperature inside the Buckets of our 4 Series SOURCE nail atomizers, if you're using TC, they are within 50F give or take of the temperature displayed.

I'm referring to the temps at the settings on the slim4's battery when used with coil-free Quartz
