Anyone know of Davinci selling the rubber post part the pearl screws onto? First time I took off the Pearl to clean that area, the post part cracked basically and is dangling like a loose tooth now....thanks

How do you like using the Samsung 25R? Could this be the solution to the "Too Hot to Handle" issue that everyone including myself is having with the Sanyo NCR18650GA 3500mAh battery?
I have a slew of batteries that I have tried with the IQ yellow lg's green samsung and some mxjo batteries.

All have a rating of 20+ amps (for use with milaana)...the IQ still gets hot.

To some I could see it being too hot to handle.
Hey does anyone have like a comparison between the colors? I seem to like the gray one, but not sure how it looks like in reality :D As the zirconia mouthpiece is black it kind of clashes with the rest of the unit.
I have copper and it looks more silver. In fact the guy at the store told me it was silver...but I knew that that was not possible.

They have a cool two tone finish that makes it look slightly different when light hits it.

If you have ever seen the Samsung gold/platinum, it's very similar

@Davinci_vaporizer

So i wanna buy the IQ asap, but i need to make sure that all issues that has been reported are already solved in the new units send out. (I heard about superglue used on some parts, unit acting weirdly, the zarconia ball being damaged/stuck when the unit arrives) I'm not too excited to hear that there is pretty big chance that your quality control wasn't good enough and i may get defected unit. Thanks! :)

This vape is sick. I purchased it locally on a Christmas sale and I'm really liking it.

I'm using the 10mm adapter on a whip to drive some glass. I'll be getting @Ratchett 's waterpipe adapter so I can eliminate the whip. This thing RIPS through glass at 420-430* and is super smooth. Heats up really fast too. This is going to be my portable Cloud Evo for when I want to bring my glass somewhere but won't be able to plug in somewhere.

Highly recommended. I'm thinking about what I can experiment with in the flavor chamber.

Damn thanks for the reply :D Then I will probably stay with gunmetal or Black, depending on whats available :D

Does anybody have tips on how to clean between the mouthpiece side of the oven and the o-ring that receives the flavor chamber? I feel like a lot of herb/resin is getting caught in there and blocking the five airholes from the oven to the flavor chamber.

I got down in there with a soft dental pick (my dabber) and was able to scoop out a lil ball of reclaim/weed that was definitely blocking airflow. Can the o-ring come out? That would make it a lot easier.

Is the IQ suppose to work while charging? Mine seems to turn off while I have it plugged in.

"Not really" is the answer. It's a little misleading imo

As it says in the instructions, the IQ can be used while charging.

Yes, and I also asked the rep here about that, mentioning the Ascent as comparison. The answer I got was a simple yes, but later found out that the unit needs to be charged at least 20% before it can be used. Also, it drains faster than it charges, so if you start vaping with just a 20% charge, it can still shut off in the middle of your session, even though it's plugged in. You'd need to wait a little longer, and at that point, all you are doing by vaping with it plugged in is "slowing down" how fast it drains. That puts it in a different charging camp than the Ascent, imo. Not better or worse, just different. I'd suggest not doing it if possible. With extra batteries, it becomes a non issue...

Now truth be told, would that info have stopped me from buying it? Hell no, I LOVE my IQ! The flavor is outstanding. This is a company who cares about quality  And I must say, the rep has been incredible on this page, dealing with us freaks and connoisseurs, almost everyday. Hats off to the Davinci rep!

Thank you for bringing this up; I can only see light through 3 of the 5 air holes. I realized that it might be the O ring is not lined up perfectly with the holes? Can anyone one else see all five air holes when you look through the unit?

Same issue with just the 3 holes showing. Definitely contributing to needing to clean that area more often I believe

For cleaning I used a alcohol dampened q-tip and twirled it in the 5 hole junction area. The twirling action dislodges and extracts black particles while cleaning off resin.

Alas, the front left metal casing (where the poker is kept) just came dislodged. I can't get it to reset, it's just sticking up. Help?

Can anyone who owns the davinci iq and the arizer solo compare the two vapes for me? Mostly looking for a comparison of draw resistance, ideal draw speed, vapor production and vapor quality of the two vapes through a bong/rig.

Anybody know how long the process to RMA takes?

I sent in my unit for a replacement over a week ago, and have not heard anything from them.

Man...I let my bowl get dirtier than normal (because I was away from home and exclusively using IQ) and I realized there is a hairline crack in the bowl...

This means it had to always be present because I never dropped it.

Unless the zirconia bead cracked it while closing...

@Davinci_vaporizer what's the procedure for something like this?

I've only had it over a week...what's the RMA turnaround time look like?

:(

Edit: on a side note I left my flavor chamber empty for the first time since I got it...and holy fuck! It makes a defference...might have to update my review!

This vape hits harder than I previously stated!!!

In the past with Ascent returns I experienced 4-8 day returns once it was received including shipping. They received my IQ at DaVinci last Weds. I am sure they had Christmas off so........
DaVinci has always honored my warranty returns, I have 6-7 Ascent chargers and a box of glassware to prove it. I am confident I will have a working IQ soon. I love my Ascent but I miss the efficiency and refined design of the IQ. Compared to the IQ, my Ascent is wasting my stash.
Previously they sent an order status notification via email with shipping info once the RMA has been completed.
Patience my friend, let us know when you get yours back.
What broke on your IQ?

Does anyone else's unit gets ridiculously hot? To the point where it's almost unbearable to touch? Even on smartpath 1 it gets super hot.

There seems to be a lot of unit-to-unit variability in that regard. Mine has gotten that hot a few times, but only on SP3-4, and that was at the end of a 20 minute session. Others have reported similar behavior to yours.

I'd rather say there seems to be a lot of consistency in the way all units get hot, but a lot of variation in how user hands can handle the heat. Some find it hot, some find it burning hot...

I hear you, @KeroZen, but do we really know this. Whenever there is an issue of people reporting that a particular vape gets hot while others find that vape just fine, it is always a question of whether the units perform differently or just some people's hands are that sensitive to heat.

Until someone can put an accurate thermometer on one that's too hot (and one that's not), I don't think the answer to this question can be known from scattershot subjective reports.

Cheers
