if you're even somewhat diligent about keeping your stuff somewhat clean then its easy to soak the bottom part of the capsule, and wipe out the top part with a qtip and iso, if you need to push out the top screen to clean thats not a bad idea, push through from top and it'll drag out any little pieces of herb that might be caught up there.
i try not to let them get too dirty just to help with smell. but i really dont want to have to take the upper part of the capsule/mouthpiece apart for deep cleaning, i can only imagine how difficult it would be to get the tube and washer to line up and play nice.
i wonder how marc does it, i'd hope he has a jig or machine of some sort, imagine the blisters he'd have on his fingers working with that stuff manually

I know there's a bunch of battery questions and answers concerning the fw4 but needed to ask one more for future reference... Do the batteries for the Arizer Air work with the Firewood 4?
just got an Air with a few extra batteries, like the Air a lot but Love my firewood 3 and may up-grade to the FW4 in a month or two. Thanks.

Nope, it would be hazardous to use them with the Fw4.
You need to stick with 20A continuous 18650s.
For example,
LG HE2, HE4, HG2
Samsung 25R, 30Q
Sony VTC5, VTC6

All this new battery stuff still has me baffled, tech is moving ahead quickly and I'm just crawling along at a snails pace.
Well, I think most of us are in the same place as you, maybe at various points along the learnin' curve that's all. But given the power these batts are packin' one needs to take the time to at least understand the basics of battery safety! So keep on askin' questions, that's what FC is for.
I have 1 Ebonized Walnut package, 1 Canarywood package, and a couple Walnut wax buff units available online right now for anyone interested. Next batch will be next year!

Yeah that had me close to jumping in finally as well. Also don't think I want the cooling unit or need the battery/charger so would be more likely to buy a bare bones one like that (the extra capsule holder could still be useful though). The black was so deep and unique, but the canarywood looked great too. I'm sure there will be more nice exotics like these available again, hopefully they'll be sold ala carte too

I pack it using 2 stainless steel screens as sort of capsule.
There's more airflow but you still need to pull slow on lower temps. Maybe it'd be different if I boosted my temp.
I haven't played around much but could pull pretty fast on temp4 and still get visible vapor.
I think I prefer native mode still, especially w the extra capsules+mouthpieces for the portability. This was just to show that it'd work etc. I'll do a vid later if I can find the motivation

Noticed my ABV was pretty light from this today and put it thru my UD at voltages I'd use for waterpipes and I'm barely getting any vapor.
Just figured I'd throw that out there for people hung up on their ABV color, like I was today... Managed to get 2 capsules off of one battery since I was like "nah, this is totally still green! there must be more!" as it got annoyingly dry and harsh lol

Titanium k = 22 W/(m K) and Steel = between 17 and 51 W/(m K) depending on carbon content and at our temperatures of interest.
So they effectively conduct more heat away from the vapor stream and are better cooling materials.

Me, I think, check post 3092 on pg 124. There's one downside to this mod - the Crafty silicone sleeves (that seat the glass piece in the CU) lose too much oil and become slippery after a few dozen sessions (more w/ regular cleaning) and squeeze the glass piece till loose. They sell replacement packs so it's an issue for Crafty/Mighty user's, too, but w/ more cooling happening before the sleeve in the Crafty CU, it's likely happening faster on my FW4. EDIT: Oh hey, maybe this is important: You can take the Crafty glass & sleeve out-of-the-box and install in the Firewood glass for a good fit, and enjoy the mod w/o woodworking. Adding the wood feels more complete and portable and moves the silicone 1/4" further from the heater.

I received my Wax Buff FW4 package last Friday and have been loving it. This is my first vape and my first experience with the 18650/Nitecore charger.
I fully charged the battery before using the FW4 and have recharged it twice without issue. Today I hooked up the charger and did some stuff around the house. I checked on it about an hour later and there was a faint burning plastic smell from the charger. I disconnected it and checked both the battery and the charger and both seem fine. Should I be concerned about this? Not sure what to do since I got it from Marc.

Not normal. While I upgraded to a D2 after buying extra batteries for the FW4, the D1 provided by Marc did not create any type of unsettling smell. Whether it's your battery or charger, I'm not sure, but I would email Marc.
