Discontinued The Herbalizer

What's the deal with the stripped down Chongs Choice version

Is it gone for good now?? Will it ever come back? Anybody have any insight on this?

Kind of kicking myself for not jumping on the BF sale.

Looking at getting a Herbie, hopefully used but they are slim to none in my neck of the woods in western Canada!
Exactly what it is a stripped down version , i believe it does not have aroma therapy mode and a few little things. I would say your question would be better answered asking Herbalizer's customer service rather than the forum , they would know best.

So my recently acquired herbalizer I picked up used at a nice price has been taken through its steps I think. I wanted to share a silly vaping game I came up with the other day that I seem to enjoy and will get me very wrecked very fast if that is what I am calling for. I am calling it 345 to 445. I start out by taking a few hits at 345 to enjoy the flavor and such. after a couple enjoyable and flavorful hits I put my finger on plus and my mouth on the steamroller. I start inhaling the second I press the plus button and the goal of the game is to get the temperature up to 445 all the while you are still inhaling during the heatup process. You can clear the hit once the temperature reaches 445. If you can fully clear the hit and not pass out congratulations you win!

Yeah it was one of my wilder moments! The first time I did it I saw stars! It. Was. Awesome. But I mean this is the only vaporizer I would even attempt to try a hit like that without any filtration. I still don't understand how the hits on this thing can be so dense and so cool at the same time. I just don't get it. A comparable hit on my Evo, even through water would have me coughing up a lung.

...I believe if I tried that I'd be on my way to the emergency room...lol...the steamroller if done right...no vapor escapes...you get it all...I would never even think of that...lol.love it man...

I do the opposite and blow my bags starting at 435 and have it end at 365 to preserve flavour.

I'll have to try doing this next time I have fresh bud. I'm running through my ABV right now.

Anyone own both a herbalizer and Cloud Evo ? I am not trying to start a comparison between the 2 but i have been using the herbalizer for 2-3 days now and it does not put out anywhere near the dense huge clouds the evo puts out. I though it being one of the premium vapes that they may be on par. Maybe i am doing something wrong but using the same material in both , does not yield me the same results and my avb out of the herbie is always much lighter even using it at max temp. I don't pack but place in the bowl and i am using a top screen as well.

@Justpassedu I am a happy owner of both a cloud Evo and a herbie and I honestly think that the herbie is capable of milking just as large clouds as the Evo, except the herbie has the added advantage of magically making the vapor somehow cooler also. The ABV usually comes out pretty light but this isn't any different than the way the ABV comes out of my minivap or volcano either, I think it's just a result of the way the herb is cooked. I actually just experimented by putting herbie abv that was cooked at 445 into my Evo at 12 o clock, my usually preferred temp for flowers on the unit and I surprisingly got barely any vapor production from doing this althouh the herb did significantly darken. I'm no scientist but this is telling me that although the herbie abv is significantly lighter than most Vaporizers it is still extracting the majority of the material fully and thoroughly. Don't let the color fool you! I've been staying away from water filtration but using my dry steamroller on the herbie and I can tell you it can pack quite a dense hit. Using the same steamroller on my Evo will provide a likewise large hit but I feel the vapor on the herbie is significantly cooler and easier on my lungs than the evo. If you are looking for a really really big hit that's on the level of the Evo read back about a page I posted a silly vaping game for huge hits that can make you see stars the hits are so huge!

Please share your temps , grinding and packing methods as my experience has been allot different using both. I was expecting similar performance like the Evo but my clouds are somewhat wispy. I have only used the whip so far and filled a few bags.

I've found a coarse grind actually works better for me in the herbie. Don't ask me why I don't know but it just does. I usually pack her between halfway to 3\4 but never more and I also never tamp it down. Keep that shit fluffy. I find the whip doesn't really offer huge clouds but if you get a WPA and attach your herbie to some glass or a nice 18mm steamroller and you can really milk those hits. If you're going to stick with the whip I would recommend getting some 3\8 silicone tubing and using that over the stock herbie whip. For some reason the stock whip herbie offers really sucks but if you get some silicone tubing and stick it over your bowl and just use that instead you should find you'll get greatly increased airflow.

Are you using the whip? Because if you want clouds you're going to have to really work for it with the whip. Since the Herbalizer doesn't heat the bowl unless you draw on it, it takes some amount of time before the bowl gets hot and the material is at temperature. When you use a bag at +430 F you should get a nice thick cloud by the end of the bag. You can even watch the vapour production ramp up as the bag is filling. The vapour starts out wispy and thin before thickening into a thicker stream as the bowl and material heats up. Use a flash light and darken the room to really see the whole process.

You can pre-heat a bowl by blasting a dry herb chamber at the heat you want then add your herb while it's hot. This will dramatically speed up the heating of the material allowing for more rapid vapour production.

The thing I love most about the Herbalizer is there's so many ways to use it. I encourage everyone to explore what the vaporizer can do

Don't burn your fingers!

I am going to give it a try tonight using my magic flight finishing grinder which provides a really fine grind. I did not find the stock whip to be restrictive at all so i don't see a need to really change it even though i do have some thicker silicone tubing , i kinda like the fact it all wraps up so neatly in the shell. I think i have a adapter to try it with some of my glass but i am pretty set on using my evo through glass as i never had a problem , always the same results , huge dense clouds of vapor with every pull no matter the grind. I primarily got the herbie for whip and bag use , something different to add to the mix.

Had some better results last night with a finer grind but only had the chance to do a few a bags. I have question regarding the heater. I know it comes on when it senses air passing trough it. I was using max temp and turned the fan on to look at the heater and noticed it fluctuated in it's heating/brightness when running the fan at max temp and viewing it. Should it do that or maintain a steady brightness since air would be passing through it at max temp?

The bulb that provides the heat will turn on and off to maintain the temperature setting. It won't stay fully on even at max temp.

If your having problems with the whip, use it with the fan on. That will provide the ideal draw speed. If you're still having problems, it's probably your pack or your herbs, assuming it's not a faulty unit.

My experience over time was originally that upon 1st glance (thoughts, tests and use) the cloud gave denser vapor.
Over a very short time I learned how to get denser hits with Herbalizer. Also longevity of device counts.

Herbalizer has a fairly small chamber, however when used at high temp and with fan assist it gives very deep dense vapor. Dense vapor and high heat that are consistent and do not interrupt function.
Evo is a more delicate device, that can be broken, and service disrupted much more easily.
Not whining or badmouthing the Evo... a dynamite vape ... it simply is more susceptible to glass damage which equals disrupted service.
Herbalizer has less readily damaged parts, and stronger longevity when examining the upper end Convection Vaporizers.

Has anyone ever tried the Herbalizer bowls on a Volcano (digit)? I got some easy valve bowls for the Volcano and they're frustrating me because the plastic legs keep breaking off. Also Herbalizer looks to have the only silicone vaporizer bags available, though correct me if I'm wrong here. I just wish you could replace these bags manually, but wondering if anyone has ever tried this. The two chambers look to be the same size to me, so wondering if it might work.

Are you ordering legitimate EZ Valve Chambers from Storz & Bikel?
There are sellers that sell Volcano valves that are after-market ... and decidedly inferior.
After working with Volcano Chambers for MANY years, I find one would be hard pressed to discover a way to break off the legs. ( 7 years and over 50 volcanos distributed)

Look again, the bags re NOT silicone.

Yes you can replace just the bags. There have been a couple tutorials posted in this thread.
