Advanced E-cig users and oil/wax, how-to "one-hitter-quitter"

It's a one to two hitter. I suppose I could put in some sort of wick but this is so easy to deal with, just burn it off to clean it, runs TC like a champ, and super clean flavor. Having the coil up like this makes loading crazy simple, you can see everything. This is one built on a Goon clone.

The coil isn't quite touching the screw, that's a drop of reclaim.

Nice and thanks. Makes sense you are using a Clapton most notably with its increased surface area. Do you just dab on top and melt it in or do you try to get it inside the coil wrap? I can't really be arsed to wrap my own Claptons but I just got a nice set of mostly TC rolls that includes it and a twisted pair too. Those are Kanthal, though.

I pulse it until it is hot-ish but not smoking, then dab on top and let it melt on.

Wow. Well I just started messing around with wax at all and even less so in an atomizer as yet but I feel like a fool for not already realizing I should preheat the coil.

Here is 4) ti wires twisted together and stuffed into a ceramic rose v2 cup on a Rafael Atty. I should have stuck with 3) 26g wires instead. The Ohms came in at .18 , bit low and the amps are too high imo but I guess it could be called wickless. The other end of the coil goes out the bottom of the cup.

Ok.... that build was ugly af and it did not work well. I finally gave up on Ti wire.

I found some 316L stainless fused clapton from kbee vapes, marked as 2x26/32 and it rocks for wick less builds. I have a vertical funnel coil going and a straight horizontal coil and both are working really well right now.

I pretty much only use 316L anymore. It just works so well.

i was getting some funny tastes on the 316 i got from unkamen, but all of their wire is gross and nasty.

the ti wire i get from temco is super clean, should i try their 316 too? i hate working with ti its such a bitch, but it tastes so clean. 316 is so much easier to work with, it would be nice if it could taste as clean as ti.

Question - I been making some oil by just melting my shatter/wax in some ejmix for when i need to be super discrete about it. I been using your reg old slim battery and the tanks you would usually see in a medical state being sold in a dispensary pre-filled . Can i use one of my box mods and tank such as my kanger kbox and if so will it work better than what i been using ?

You probably already figured this out but yes you can use a box mod w a disposy. Just keep the wattage super low. For real, start at 1W and work up. A lot of those hit great at around 5W. Some can go up to 10W w/o burning out. They vary greatly in build quality and materials.

There's lotta threads here for those disposables. this thread is for RDA type rebuildable designs.

If you ask me those disposies are ugly on top of box mods and really they're not super discreet unless used on the little stick batteries. Even then they're only discreet when used around the cannabis-naive. In my experience whipping out one of those little deals is a sure way to get a crowd around you. They make sleeves to conceal them which you can make by harvesting the tube from an old evod type tank tube and pairing it w a 510/ego adapter. Then it looks like you're just vaping an evod on your kbox.

Sorry to clarify i meant can i use my box mod with a sub ohm tank and the ej mix juice instead of the cheap little disposables ? I kind of figured this out on my own as i tried this the other day with my mod and it works well. Thanks for the reply though.

At 1st i was using a cheapo disposable tank that worked ok but battery life was poor and it clogged up sometimes. Now i have it in my Kanger Subtank and so far it is working well , i also put some in another tank i had that i was not using but it is a cheap tank from a inexpensive mod called the ijust 2. My ratio is prob way off , i used about 10-12 drops of liquid to almost 1 gram of live resin for this batch. It is thick but works well , i can def add more to thin it out but i am kinda liking the kick it provides.

@Joel W. Seen the V3 from Divine Tribe/Crossing? Cup has 14mm inner diameter. you could twist and stuff a lot of wires in there. kinda pricey but there's an FC user special link for half price. I don't work for them I swear just, when i first took one apart for cleaning I thought woah.. the rebuilding guys might like this.

my apologies for the late reply.

if you go back into the thread, not sure how far sorry, you will see my build. i do a standard contact coil at say 2mm and 8-12 wraps. then i take a clapton coil and wrap it at say 3 or 4mm diameter. then i slide the smaller contact coil into the clapton and twist the leads together on each end.

this creates a resivoir between the coils. that is what "wicks" the oil. that and the clapton itself also wicks a bit. so this is now a coil that heats and wicks. no other material needed other than the wire for the coils.

this is the best coil i have found for concentrate use. the best part is that when they gunk up you can remove them, clean them, and reuse them over and over.

thats the Uwell Rafale X rda. if you go back to page 95 i have pics of it all broken down and in a different configuration. best rda for rebuilding errl coils i have found yet. and you can get the authentics pretty cheap. i saw them for $10 at one point.
