So i'm looking into dmt but i dont want to go overboard. Is there a mild thing to vape with those dmt effects? Experiences anyone? :)
To my knowledge there's no plant that can be vaped straight to get the effects of the dmt. The concentration of dmt is just too low and the trip doesn't last long at all so you need to get your dose all at once. It's my understanding that with phalaris arundinacea (and similar green dmt containing plants) the extract is super sticky, goopy and dark due to the chlorophyll and that it can be smoked but it's better to take it orally. That could be a good option for a mild trip and canary reed grass (phalaris arundinacea) grows wild a lot of places. Otherwise acacia confusa extract is supposed to be much more mild than that of mimosa hostilis. :2c:

What were to happen if you vaporize a "low temp" herb like eucalyptus at a higher-than-recommended temperature? Eucalyptus is only supposed to be done at @ 130-150C, but what happens if you take it up to 190C? Is there a risk of combusting it?? Or will it just taste crappy?

Has anyone ever vaporized shredded coconut? I have a bag, its organic, its soft and fluffy and I'm tempted Lol. I'm not talking about coconut oil which everyone knows is bad to inhale, I'm talking real dehydrated, shredded coconut flesh.

But I like it!

When I was much younger and dumber a couple of friends tried hot-knifing, umm, shrooms. It was a late night about 37 years ago, so thats about all I remember. Good luck :)

Not sure where your craving is from. I don't know if it is safe. If the oil is unsafe and you would be trying to extract the essence from the shredded coconut flesh. I'm thinking UNSAFE.
But is it do-able? Can water and the oils be released from such dense flesh? I could try extracting anything with my EQ and the fan and collect whatever is extracted on the glass without inhaling.

There might be something safe to vaporize that hits the notes that coconut seems to hit for you. :hmm:

German Chamomile, Lemon grass, Lemon balm, and all mints hit certain notes for me. Tried things like lavender, rose hips, and sage.

I caved and ordered more ELBs for my EVO so that I can try other things. Have a HT which is best for flavor. My EVO can form cloud action for a lot of these herbs and teas. Mint clouds! Oily rich Chamomile vapor and another range of flavor country to explore. :sherlock:

These teas are edible too! So I tried cooking with the vaped materials. Like say with olive oil to make a cooking oil. More foodie flavors to explore.

Our new grill is a 'TRU Infrared'. To smoke on it you can just toss some woodchips right on the grill,
I appreciate you having an infrared grill, they are awesome. However, throwing chips on the emitter plates while grilling does not equal smoking. I understand that what you are achieving is absolutely excellent in taste and quality, however, true smoking must take place under lower temps for longer periods of time. Many people confuse grilling with smoking and the term BBQ is abused even worse. True BBQ is is not grilling but slow smoked at lower temps.

So what do you call ribs that are cooked sous vide method for 48 hours?
sous%20vide%2044%20hour%20pork%20ribs.jpg

Dry rub coating in fridge for 12 hours, sous vide vacuum sealed water bath for 48 hours at 140 F (I think), and then flash seared on grill at high heat with a little homemade sauce to finish.
Great exterior with interior that is perfectly cooked thru and thru.
Is that BBQ?

Our new grill is a 'TRU Infrared'. To smoke on it you can just toss some woodchips right on the grill, beside your vegan tofu roast. My first thing was a handful of bud with salmon ;)
I'm looking into infrared ovens.
So what do you call ribs that are cooked sous vide method for 48 hours?
Laminar flow?
Two words - culinary centrifuge. Things separate ;)
Maybe essential oils extraction? :hmm:
Have a few of these for flowers and teas I hand mull. Works good with hard to break things like Lemongrass stalks and Chamomile flowers. Can make clouds out of nearly anything with my EVO. :peace:

Couple of things to add. First pertains to microdosing psilocybin . There is an organization called the Third Wave that is very informative about using microdosing for increased creativity, and improved mental function. There is a lot of information relative to dosing and as I understand it the amount consumed remains below "trip" level. I have suffered from migraines (not cluster) for 20 years and I used to grow my own mushrooms. These days, I really do not have any desire to expand my consciousness any further. I have seen cluster sufferers using psilocybin to stop the cycle. It does not work for everyone and the case I am thinking of took the person 3 grams at a time to provide a cessation of the cluster. This was used in a maintenance type application rather than a treatment once the individual was in the grips of a cluster.
I can attest first hand to the effects that psilocybin have in relation to serotonin production. Kind of learned the hard way when I was using a daily dose of Paxil and decided to take a small dose of psilocybin and go biking. The SSRI and the psilocybin work along the same pathways it would seem. I lost my central vison for a period of 3 hours. No more of that silliness.......

The second ethnobotanical I have enjoyed is Wild Lettuce extract. I am pretty certain I contributed to another thread here with regards to this substance , so apologies if this is redundant. I am currently on a self induced t-break and vaping Lavender. Well, this is mildly relaxing, but does not really get strong enough to substitute for an mj session. Last night I used a small (bb sized) ball of 10x wild lettuce extract in my bowl of lavender. The experience was shockingly similar to using mj. Very relaxing, warm empathetic buzz. I used my Milaana to keep heating the extract which melted and vaporised through the lavender. Please research the potential side effects of wild lettuce, sometimes called Lettuce Opium. I consider the vendor who I purchased the extract from to be a reliable, safe source. My advice would be to start very small with dosage. My first experience with the extract was in combination with mj through a conduction based vape and it was very sedating and relaxing. A bit of dizziness when standing, but I really did not want to stand anyhow at that time. The effects for me were akin to an opiate experience, no mental chatter, very calm and relaxing.
I know there can be some contraindications with Wild Lettuce, so please be careful and research before using. I will not be using this on a daily basis, however it makes for a nice substitute while I am away from Mary Jane for the foreseeable future. Please feel free to p.m. me for vendor source.
Love and light to all my FC family.

Purchased a few herbs from https://www.pit-pit.com in Europe. I don't have much success with finding all the herbs from this thread. I also don't get much vapor from the herbs i purchased. The only herb i get a tiny wisp of vapor from in the very beginning is Damiana. Currently using a S&B MIGHTY to extract the herbs.

This is the list i purchased and the review i give it:

Damiana (tiny vapor/potent)
Eucalyptus (no vapor/no effect)
Lemon Balm (no vapor/no effect)
Lemon Grass (no vapor/no effect)
Chamomile (no vapor/small effect)
Rosemary (no vapor/brain tonifying???)

(Tried vaporizing lavender/hops too... Was way too strong and nasty for me, I also didn't had any vapor.)

Damiana definitely works and i can feel the effects but the feeling is nowhere near our precious MJ. The effect however can be very potent if you didn't vape anything for a long time! Smooth anti depressant effect and it's like it gives you energy/motivation/creativity too. However not sure about the constant usage of it.

This is what i found on Zamnesia.com

While Damiana has some immediate effects, they tend to build up and increase over a period of weeks.
As with many herbs, consuming it regularly in smaller amounts will lead to longer lasting benefits, while punctual high doses tend to have a short lived but stronger effect. After a period of regular consumption of any herb, a pause of a few weeks is always recommended before the plant is taken up again.

I'm not sure about Rosemary and Chamomile, I don't get any vapor from it, neither from the other herbs i purchased. This is kinda boring/annoying when you're vaping because you really miss those clouds and have the feeling your vaping an empty bowl.

Well, i kinda gave up for now because i didn't found any other source where i can purchase my herbs from. My list is kinda short and i wish i could find some more potent or maybe better quality herbs. I read somewhere in this thread that fresh chamomile is hard to find. The one i purchased was maybe too dry...

If anyone can clarify more on this ethnobotanical thread and great sources to buy from in Europe, will be much appreciated.

Lemon Grass And 'German' Chamomile. Local food co-op get's a brand in US and goes through enough to replenish with new. Other ordinary store bought sources or tea bags, not so good for vaping. Freshly dried usually means more natural oils are still present. Perhaps you can find a fresher source?

My EVO can vape most of the things already mentioned in my earlier posts. hope this helps.

If you would have checked my link, you would have seen they sell freshly dried herbs and not bags...

I don't think a MIGHTY or a EVO will give much of a difference on vaping herbs anyway, it's probably the quality, type of herb, and the dryness.

dunno if its been posted before..

lots of resources/info here

https://www.erowid.org/herbs/

edit also
https://www.erowid.org/plants/

Thanks, I have 2 problems

1. It's not my intention to buy all the herbs from that list and try them one by one. This would get too expensive and time consuming for me.

2. It's impossible to buy all the different herbs from that list so i'm looking for a VENDOR in Europe.

Thanks both for the input anyway! :peace:

Try mixing some of the herbs you have with some hemp flowers, you'll get more of a cloud

I have lavender and hemp but I've only vaped them separately so far, gonna mix them and try it right now
