Limonene internally

Hey All, just finished a great read at Skunkpharm written by the Alchemist D. Gold. He tells off daily consumption of 1 gram of limonene. Curious as to whether any one else has tried this / results? The
desired effectt would be the anxiolytic properties associated with its use, orally. Food grade limonene is readily available, just wanted to check it out before downing this terpene as a sub for benzos.
Thanks for any replies.....

You can get a good dose of oral d-limonene by drinking some OJ or lemonade, not sure how much would equal a gram though, maybe way too much juice. If you try this I would ramp up slowly to avoid any gastrointestinal issues.

Thanks for the reply @t-dub , I will most likely try the direct approach with straight limonene. I don't tolerate sugars well, so the OJ and lemonade are off the table. Interesting how to encapsulate, rather there will be no capsule that will tolerate limonene I assume. I will def. take it slow, probably by the milligram to start.
My goal is to get a quick acting, anti anxiety response. As per Mr. Gold's assertions, "limonene will turn a Sativa buzz into an Indica buzz very quickly...". That's the energy I am searching......Extreme caution will be practiced as I do not wish to exacerbate the very symptoms I seek relief from.....more to follow.

If not mistaken limonene is only found on the rind, that's what gives citrus fruits their scent, and It is used as a solvent in some industries like the art world to dilute oil paints.

I found an article on cannabis history by him, but not that article, link?

I posted a few days ago about limonene extract capsules, made form orange peel zest. I tried one 90 minutes before vaping to see if it had any side effects on vaping. Previously, Myrcene from eating a mango seemed to add to a vaping session.
Limonene certainly had no dramatic effect, other than making me a little "burpy" and the burps smelled like orange soda :)

Will try again another time. Capsules purchased from Swanson Vitamins online.

If that was true then the interior flesh wouldn't taste like lemon/lime/orange at all.

Saying limonene is ONLY found in the rind may be a step too far, BUT the rind is by far the richest area for it. Limonene is produced in the rind, and for harvesting it, only the rinds are used.

My limonene capsule bottle even says, "Cold pressed orange peel extract" so that's where the mother load resides.

Yes it is stronger, you can taste the difference just by putting some rind in your mouth so there is a lot more there for sure. However, the other reason limonene isn't taken from the fruit is that it is worth much more as fruit or fruit juice on the market. To say there is no limonene in the fruit or juice is just wrong.

True, I just google it and you were right, I just thought that if you find it inside the fruit flesh it will irritate people being that it is such a strong solvent, but I guess the quantities are safe.

I don't necessarily feel limonene instantly turns any sativa experience into an indica experience.

But I guess I'm someone who indicas cannot knockout. Never could.

I will vouch for limonene enhancing the effect though. Makes it more happy/vivid/liquid. Tastes too sour/harsh to some, overly sour even at the lowest sub-combustion temps. But I always liked sour patch kids.

I've used D-lemonene (denatured) as a thinner for silicone rubber for the purpose of painting silicone castings. It's great stuff, a very effective solvent (also found in Goo-Gone) that won't give you organ failure (think xylene). It didn't occur to me that regular lemonene could be consumed. Offhand, what's the science behind its enhancing the effects of cannabis?
