I'm missing a conduction vape in my rotation after selling my pax2 and now that I sold my FF2 too I have been following this post. This vape seems to have everything I would need and even a couple things that I don't even know if I would need lol.

How big is the oven? Smaller than Pax2? How easy is to clean? Pax2 was really easy to clean for me, not sure if this would be more complicated, hated cleaning the Elevape for example.

I mean, as long as it heats quicker than the pax 2, the oven isn't bigger and has good flavor I'm gonna get one. Also wondering how good the CS is, hated Firefly's one and for me a decent CS is mandatory.

Right now I'm between this and Pax 3, not sure wich one is gonna be...

Edit: forgot to ask about the flavor against Crafty and CF vaporizers if anyone has them, it seems like this vape has better flavor than those ones on the reviews I have seen.

I will stay away from those comparisons because I have not had any experience with the vapes you all have mentioned.

There are a few quick things I can say though. The heat up time is adequate and in my opinion quite fast. I just received the vape, so I don't have any experience in a thorough clean, but from bowl to bowl it's a breeze. The oven size is quite large. As for flavor, there is a great initial burst on par with other vaporizers I have had experience with such as the solo. The taste does drop off after a few hits which isn't abnormal, but from what I've experienced so far which is pretty great is that although the flavor dissapated, the clouds kept coming and the vapor didnt become harsh nor did it begin to acquire a burnt popcorny taste which is pretty common in conduction vapes. I got some tasty hits followed by a solid 10-15 more minutes of smooth and consistent vapor. A stir is required in my experience so far but the included tool is perfect for that. The herb does stick to the pearl however and can get quite annoying. A custom spacer or screen could probably easily solve this however.

When I'm at home I'll probably be sticking to my mighty 95% of the time. This little guy however is going to be the perfect vape for every other occasion.

I tested the glass beads - i put them in the kitchen oven at 200c with the fan on. When hot i dumped them in a bowel of cold water. Nothing - no exploding or cracking. So all good to test in my IQ tomorrow. It reduces the oven to 1/3 of the volume. They are almost identical to the peral in size. 10mm chezch durk clear glass pearls.

Will report more after my first live test run.

Definitely go with IQ over Pax3... The Pax3 seems to be a minor improvement over the Pax2 (or even worse in some ways; see Vape Critic video review), which is vastly inferior to the IQ.

In flavor and vapor quality:

Mighty/Crafty > IQ >>>>> Pax2/3

A note on cleaning after my first one: there are a lot of little parts, but overall not bad at all.

Also, if anyone is annoyed with the device warming up, try either putting it below your neck or back and lay on it, guarantee you won't complain any more

Ordered my iq on the 29th and was told in an email a week prior that orders for canada ship from inside canada. Call on the 14th because of the delay and am told that it will ship from las vegas but i didn't have to worry about any charges or tax for crossing the border because they take care of that, rep even check with his manager. Other user now report that is a lie. Added the apt number to the shipping info. Get confirmation that it was changed and all looks good. Ships and everything looks fine. Tracking starts going crazy. Call usps and they tell me that the package was sent will the same billing info i gave but the country was listed as brazil. Now they say it will take 30 business days for them to send it back up. Call davinci to get some answers and their customer service line is set on a loop that ditches you in the main menu infinite times.

A pic of the bead in the bowel. It works really well. Still seem to get a lot of vapor using a smaller amount. Happy i found something that does the trick.

Thanks for experimenting. Looks a bit messy to me :p
How do you feel about glass and zirconia in terms of surface scratching etc.? Zirconia is supposed to be 20x tougher (or sth. like that)... so a non-issue?

Btw, how small are the loads you're using now with the bead?

well i've had my IQ for about a month and im not sure whether its the battery or my first time cleaning it but after i cleaned it (maybe 2 days later) I notice that when i turn on the IQ everything works the lights the vibration and the shown temp BUT what doesn't work is the oven i dont hear the clicking of the battery and to get it to work i had to reset the IQ remove the battery let it sit for a sec and even then it would work 50 percent of the time im hoping its the battery but when i clean it the first time i did get a little too much alcohol in the oven (it ran into the space the flavor chamber should be at, i had it out while cleaning) so i dont know if the cleaning or the battery is going bad anybody have suggestion before calling davinci?

It cuts the bowel to 1/3rd the size. I am not worried about scratching - seems fine

Will the following rechargeable battery work with the DaVinci IQ?

MXJO 18650 3500mAh Flat Top Battery
https://www.imrbatteries.com/mxjo-18650-3500mah-flat-top-battery/

Yes this battery would work just fine.

I appreciate your brutal honesty.

Which of the the following batteries which would work the best and are the safest for the DaVinci IQ?:
Samsung 35E 18650 3500mAh 10A Flat Top Battery
Sanyo NCR18650GA 3500mAh 10A Flat Top Battery
LG MJ1 18650 3500mAh 10A Flat Top Battery

Thanks Again!

All 3 would be safe. Personally I would go with the Sanyo.

1: Can the Davinci Iq utilize 18650 3000mAh batteries?

2:
Do you recommend any of these batteries?

a) Samsung 35E 18650 3500mAh 10A Flat Top Battery
b) Sanyo NCR18650GA 3500mAh 10A Flat Top Battery
c) LG MJ1 18650 3500mAh 10A Flat Top Battery
d) LG HG2 18650 3000mAh 20A Flat Top Battery
e) all of the above
n) other: _______________________________________

1) Yes the IQ can be used with a 3000mAh battery as long as it is 10A or more. Also with a 300mAh battery you will see decreased battery life.

2) All of these batteries good and would work well in the IQ I would rank them B, A, C, D.

You wont be able to. Your going to have to wait buddy. I already asked them about that. They won't do exceptions for no one. Davinci will keep on shipping in the order they were placed

Ordered mine on 11/2 (copper). Does anyone have info on copper? @Davinci_vaporizer

We will not ship them out of order of the queue but if you did want to upgrade your shipping to overnight so there is no additional wait we would do that.

Our office has been close for the past few days for the Holiday. Our shipping team did work on Friday to get orders shipped. Our office will resume normal hours tomorrow morning. I'll PM you for your order number and figure our your shipment.

Can the $51 credit be used on a second iq?

I believe the $51 can only be used on accessories, the Ascent, and original Davinci. Although I will double check on that for you!

@Davinci_vaporizer well I would like to pay for the express shipping, but would you be kindly to ask your co-workers to please pick up the phone, and emails ive been trying to contact you guys about my order status.. I know you guys are busy. I tried to be patient but at this point I don't know how to react. On top of that I know I won't even get credited for the inconvenience. Just please have the courtesy to pick up the phone or respond to the emails so I could feel appreciated for spending my money I worked for.

@Davinci_vaporizer What is the bowl circumference ? Could you throw a Storz and Bikel dosing capsule into it?

Not even close. It's deep and narrow.

Off topic but don't want to double post. Getting great results. Decided to run a high temp sesh through my bong. Turned it up to smartpath 3 and a few minutes in I found myself having to hold it by the hinges of the mouth piece the unit was so hot. Reminds me of my cera. A case could probably solve that. I am concerned about the heats affect on the battery however.

I kinda like those capsule/pods w pre-filled flower in a magazine. Are you aware of anything like that that could plop well into the IQ bowl ?

I was chillin in my car vaping (with a different vape) and look to my right, and there is a dude in a white car vaping next to me, or so it seems, and looked exactly like the IQ. If you're in central Florida and this is you ... I must meet you! Lol.

Either way, I'm pretty sure I just saw one in the wild.

Other vapes make similar products. Not that I've tested, nor would I recommend considering the vape was shit, but I bought a pinnacle pro years ago that had little bullet sized capsules that may fit idk how snuggly/loosely. Look around though I'm sure you can find something similar.

I tested the glass beads

I might have to summon @OF here, but we had A LOT of conversations about glass beads and flowers back then in the Ascent thread. And I can't remember what the issue was, but I clearly do remember that there was something wrong when using random glass beads found online. Lead content or something?

Sorry I can't recall but it's all there buried somewhere....
