I think the smallest I have done so far was for @boon and that was very small I almost thought it might not work that well and get a bit hot but I made a short heatcore for it and as far as I know its still being used everyday , my personal hgl(oak) is very slim around 38mm diameter giving just 10mm of wood around core but taller and I find it fine using at all voltages so far.

 I confirm that's my daily driver  gorgeous wood and really great craftsmanship not to hot to handle

For those of you using the log vapes currently, whats your favourite way of vaping? I notice a lot of people hitting them through various glass rigs, is that considered the best way?
i really enjoy each stem with my HGL as my HI bamboo
Wood/SS and Glass stem dry with flower
Concentrate/high grade WPA with J-hook (Amazing:drool:) or Water tool

Pleased to say that my name is on the list for one of these sweet looking vapes!. Another downside is my consumption is definitely on the rise! I think this will even out in a few weeks when tobaccos off my mind completely.

I have some experience with various vapes but not with the Log varieties so any help is more than welcome!

Hi, congrats to you !

About consumption : logs vape are known to be really efficient : get the most out of your material, by maximizing taste and effects. For example, if I'm using some conduction-on-demand-vape( like Alfa), I'm going to use 4 times more material just to load it for proper function and then simply because it's there and started, I'm going to finish it. While with an efficient convection vape you'll just get hits on demand and preserve the beneficial as you are loading more, or not...hence using less.

Water filtration isn't the best. IMO I prefer to hit dry, since you'll get the most taste and effects (talking efficiency), BUT you'll be able to get more larger puffs (more could means more taste if low heat..and more effect ?) with water ...so it's a nice option and quite personnal. Sure for me nothing beats clean glass & dry hits for the taste cause you'll always loose some of the flavor profile in the water.

I remember I really appreciated water filtration during my early days into the vapor goodness. Being able to get lungfull hits, which you feel will "hit" you somehow differently. In the long term, I find it's just not as efficient (tolerance), but every now and then or more often for hash/bubble session and the last puffs from loads at night .. Or to get through a load much faster/harder/hotter.:spidey:

It's just nice to have the option sometime. Like playing with SS-wpa, glass, wong, different glass stem and screens configuration..

Logs vape are considered kind of "special" and "rare", but I sure believe more people would get into vaping discovering the simplicity and efficiency of those beauties; yes !
I didn't even write about maybe the most important aspect and 1st interrest for me in these : the look & feel, just holding, looking, waxing and of course using them. It's just different than plastic & electronic, to get that noble-natural-feels which is a must combination to consume our holy plant, isn't it ?

Wait in peace ...cloudy days are coming.:leaf:

Great to see some new work man. I don't know what those last two photos are but I probably want one ;)

I am still really digging my HGL. I wouldn't want to go without it anymore. Most of my joint smoking friends are getting more and more envy and would like one for themselves. They are sure that it is what they need to kick the smoking habit and I have to say I couldn't agree more.

What is the screen diameter for the wongs? Or even better, where can I order those screens? My local shop doesnt have screens that small and they advised me to cut a screen to fit the wong but I rather order the correct size.

Can't wait to be home again :)

Its 10mm , if you cant get any local i can send you a few packs no prob

I don't know if it is the first vape of the evening but I felt like I was gonna have a stroke or heart attack looking at those HGL's @RastaVapa. An English log made with English wood would suit this wild colonial boy down the line. Absolutely stunning stuff, but you will find at least one post by me already expressing that earlier in the thread. Nothing has changed except I am more impressed :2c: :peace:

@phattpiggie I vote on calling them GWong's & pronouncing it with a hard g  Makes it sound exotic & mysterious.

Volute of Vapor
Still amazed by this classy&powerfull log!

I use the short WonG for concentrates alone cause the load is closer of the heater and the longer one for flowers. The dry stem is used for some micro-doses flavor snob hits.

Still working on a pic to show this wonderfull job Rastavapa done!

These are truly beautiful. I stumbled across this thread whilst researching another well know log vape . I was interested in their vape because a clean air/vapour path is the priority for me and i like the fact their website states -
<<Custom designed 100% ceramic heating element. Rohs compliant. = Clean air path, peace of mind>>

How does this compare to Homegrownlogs?

Hi there my elements are all ROHS compliant the airpath consists of 316 stainless steel, glass and ceramic, vapour path could have wood also or glass depends.
There is no solder in the airpath also element is crimp twisted to the connecting wires.

Hope I have answered everything, hope to have a few more pics up soon and this batch is just.about ready to go out door.

Been a bit quiet as I was up guys hospital seeing a top specialist and had some rather good news which has given me a bit more energy, or it could be the spirulina supplements I'm on lol...

Will answer all emails in by tonight just in workshop atm.....

Take it easy everyone

Blessed

Nick
