switching from combustion to vaping

I am so happy that I found this forum. I stopped smoking joints 4 days ago. I am now vaping exclusively and I have been feeling out of sorts. I wondered if I was withdrawing from the chemicals in paper. Now I know that I am. This is so validating. Thanks

Welcome to fuckcombustion.com.

If you vape this is the best place ever.

If you don't vape, this is still the best place ever ;)

Enjoy the increased lung capacity, the lack of smelly smoke, the increased efficiency and the additional sense of smug :D

Do everything you can to make it through the weekend without combusting, I think you'll feel much better starting a new week completely smoke free.

Thank you so much for your support. I will make it. The second and third day were bad for wanting to light up but I didn't. I so look forward to feeling healthier. I am hoping for increased energy.
Thanks again.

I am using vapirrise. It has a bag. It is for 3 people. I knew nothing when I ordered it and so I only two weeks ago ordered a portable Arizer Air. However, I find myself using the larger machine during the last four days of no combustion. I am so grateful for having found this site. Thanks

My head feels very foggy today and I am irritable. It is day five with no combustion. This is the worse day so far. I am focused on getting to the future now.

Probably too late to add to this thread, but my advice is to go the highest temperature your vape is capable of when transitioning from smoke to vapor.

I have found The high temps have the most similar effects to combustion.

It has been months and months since i combusted (and ages transitioning) and i am only now starting to explore the lower temps.

Good luck

have you been combusting with tobacco? (i assume so, because most people do)
if thats the case, you might experience craving due to your body demanding nicotine.

but you will get over it. and it will be so worth it getting that shit out of your system.

Hi there and welcome! Please consider that your fogginess may actually be because you are vaping too much flower. Are you vaporizing as much herb as you used to smoke? If so, that may be the problem. Vaporize less herb and see if that improves things.

Remember, vaping avoids combustion byproducts that make you foggy/sleepy but it is also MUCH MORE EFFICIENT at getting the active compounds out of the herb and into your body without destroying/wasting so much of it on the way (like when you smoke). If you have a potent broad leaf variety with a sleepy chemical profile, then vaporizing the same amount of cannabis as you smoked before is going to get you much more (and different!) psychoactivity/high compared to smoking the same amount. The efficiency of vaporizing vs smoking IIRC from the studies I read equated to roughly double the amount of actives getting into your body from the same amount of flower so try cutting your total intake in half :)

Also are you medicating a health condition? This may be relevant to your experiences.
