school me on making bubble

I'm glad I got to give it a shot, but this isn't for me. I purchased the larger battery pak a few months ago when the Evolve Plus battery quit. The EP head is on the large battery. I also tried a Cerum but there are too many rubber washers in it, and they kept falling out so it's gone. Back to the Evolve head attached to a 3 week battery pack...

I think a few of us have had the exact same journey here, I believe @Ratchett also ended up landing on no ejuice mixtures as well!

Back to bubble talk, I am so interested to see/hear about your dried bubble hash brother - how did it all come out? Any of it dabbable full melt?

Will post a few pix for you. So far I've not dabbed any as I don't yet have an enail. That may be resolved as I just this afternoon placed an order for a High Five press, which has enails you can plug into the plate controllers. I do have a torch and titanium nail I've never used. I should give it a whirl, just to see how badly I'll burn myself...

I forgot I also put a bunch of dry sift into a Yocan Torch, so that's another coil to the dry sift gods :)

Oops - pix soon. Until then do a google search on 'gold classifier' and yell me what you think they might be handy for?

I have 3cu of 4 different grades of material. I was thinking about making a batch up, but now realise that bouncing the screens might be difficult...

Anyways, just more things to consider for the lab...

@herbivore21 No macro shots yet, but here's the carnage. Better pix, and maybe even some macro shots next time. Also a lot less cardboard and parchment. Well, maybe some parchment... the High Five press and enails should be here in a few days!

Freaky - I can see them in the original post *and* in the quote? Maybe @momofthegoons can fix this? Hey, Mom - can you help a poor young herbivore out on his photoviewing challeenges which are likely caused by my decided lack of technical veracity and due diligence, SVP? Muchas gracias signorita :)

Curious, I wonder if your device has a cache of the images? Mine is saying that they have been removed from imgur and when you use the URL's to go to the original imgur post it says it has been removed too? I wonder if the upload was a self-destructing one (which must make you Inspector Gadget! lol)?

I would love to help you out but I'm seeing the same thing as herbivore21 is. I think your pics were possibly removed from Imgur. If you shoot me the new links, I can edit them in to your post and remove all this off topic convo. ;)

Freaky - I can see all of them on FC, in the response as well. But they seem to be missing on Imgur. Does Imgur censor photos? Anyhoo, here's one thats still there...:

I saw the original one :) Hard to tell the quality of wet hash though as you have no doubt learned by now lol

I think if you hold the CTRL key on your keyboard and refresh this page in the browser you might find that the images are not visible anymore :2c:

I wonder if Imgur are removing such pics now? I have not heard any such thing myself and it would be strange but so are disappearing pics :whoa:

Just thought I'd share this snap, this is a 300x shot of a thick clump of pressed 5 star full melt (these were my last 73u and 45u collections, the first washes made an even more magnificent 6 star product and pics will come soon enough).

It is fascinating looking at trichomes and capitate stalks when they are pressed together in a large dense mass. This is the top of a chunk that is 2" to the bottom. The material looks like a large clump of pale sand to the naked eye, whereas the original material looked like powdered almost white crystals before pressing together for storage by hand (with gloves, always with gloves!)!

This bubble has cured for a month or so in a cool dark location and I strongly recommend doing this. Great hash gets greater if you let it cure some. I find the hit becomes much smoother with time.

Fire it again. I can still find the ground.
Peace everyone,

I saw that postimage.org is down but supposedly working on coming back up: on their main page here.

I actually switched *to* imgur and it's working fine for me.

Peace and good things.

So a neighbour is bugging me to get my decent (DSLR something) out of storage and get some decent pix of 'things', so will aim for some nice macro shots of the next run, complete with lots of pyrex and no cardboard in view.

I've found some smallish, 3 ozish, glass containers with screw tops. That will be the new storage device (as opposed to the ziploc baggies, which just look awful).

Buddy at the local vape shop donated a whole bunch of small zippies, tho, so I think thats what will hold the donation bubble.

Did I mention the two lbs of (donated) trim is for me to make meds for buddies sister, plus donate? So I'm gonna pack 15 grams into 15 envelopes and give them to the vape shop guy to distribute as he sees fit. A good deed for the day - clean, safe local meds for people who might not be able to be so selective. I'm really thankful my medication costs are covered by an insurance plan, but many others aren't as fortunate.

Oh man, to see that you are able to pay folks forward from that trim bubble makes me even happier to have been able to help you on your bubble journey! Keep up the great work and looking after sick folks!

Definitely nicer to use glass as you say. Please do get some nice macro shots brother! Given your good deeds for the week, this mixed 5 star dab's for you:

Thanks @herbivore21. The growers sister had a form of arthritis. But his interest in free goes a little deeper in that his son was one of a group of kids partying it up in Vancouver only to wind up dead from fentanyl poisoning.
Damn bro! I'm sorry to hear about the grower's son dying, that is so tragic! Glad to hear of this grower channelling the tough times that they've had into something positive for the community though - that is to be admired and respected in a person! :2c:

Thanks guys. Grower buddy is a strong man, and is freaking with his loss in the best way.

Resin got me to bubble. I've never tried resin - wife stole both straighteners as they came into the house! Pure (cute) evil!

Do I've gotten a few notes from Frenchy Cannoli - love watching his IG videos of his new stsinless washer. A bit more than I need, but I'm going to continue looking for an affordable stainless washing unit. My monthly amounts aren't super high, but they are consistent, so I'm assuming for durability, ease of cleaning, and simple.

Frenchy isn't a fan of the Wacky Willies stainless washer, but it might be ok fire what I need. Maybe the custom steelmaker in town will have some ideas?

Thanks for the High Five feedback @turk . I'm thinking it's a cost effective way to get started. If the press cacks the plates can be moved to a 3 ton. At least we're making progress :)

Holy shit man, thanks for letting me know about Frenchy's IG videos with teh stainless washer! Does he identify the vendor? I'm gonna be all over that shit! I've wanted stainless ever since I started and will move heaven and earth to get it lol

Frenchy is a wonderful person and has contributed so much to the community! If I could ever be that much help to others, I'd be a very happy Herbivore!

I definitely understand Frenchies apprehensions about the wacky willy apparatus, when I thought about inert gas agitation for a while, it dawned on me that the pressure may be too much agitation to be ideal for our needs. Also any solvent action of an inert gas that reacts with the material in the cold water environment might be problematic for the integrity of the resin glands.

@herbivore21 - this is his design apparently. Last weekend was the inaugural demo iirc. The vids looks great, I'm sure the quality is awesome, and I'm also sure, without checking, that the price has a couple more digits in it than I'd like.

I need to get a welder and start burning some metal...

Holy shit! That price is out of this world high! Higher than I am off this .1 dab of 5 star charas made by yours truly!

I love Frenchies' work, but I can't pay that unless they're giving me a year's worth of flowers to run with it!

Hope you've been running great material sir! :D

Jebus, Bubble seems like such a long process... a labour of love thats for sure
It is definitely hard work, with lower yields than solvents. However full melt bubble is much better than any solvent based or rosin extraction. The flavor, effect and potency is incomparably better :) This owes to the substantial additional terpene retention in a good full melt bubble hash vs solvent and rosin extractions. You aren't likely to be finding higher terpene levels than full melt without products that have undergone isolation/fractionation processes to boost levels of terps.

It is worth the labor, but the problem is that without some very well-honed technique, full melt is near impossible to make. Without perfectly grown flowers, the most melty hashes are also not possible to make. Full melt (either dry sift or bubble, both take a lot of work and good nugs!) is for the connoisseurs of cannabis. Folks only get full melt if they are either insanely wealthy, or if they know how to make their own like myself. It is the holy grail of cannabis extraction IMO. Worth every penny, every minute of labor and every long step of the learning process! :D

yah I get my next MMJ order tomorrow, what method would you suggest ..to make a more concentrated nasal spray..

I like the easy of dry ice hash, and it has no solvent.. but not sure how potent it is..
