Recyclers - Discussion and Appreciation

Deadshort480

We're here to fuck shit up.
I feel like i kinda want a recycler for my dry herb vape. Even though it won't benefit from the recycling function, it'd still be a piece that'll look pretty on the desk, and its not gonna be worse than a non-recycling piece. If you had to recommend a recycler for the arizer solo/air, what would you recommend? I'm looking to spend anywhere between 30 and 100 on dhgate. What kind of a recycler design would work best with the arizer vapes? I'm guessing I should ideally go with something that has a lot of volume.
I apologize, but I can't recommend any glass off DHGate. I'm not overly familiar with the designs offered on the website and I am a stern believer in supporting American based artists. I'm sure you'll find something you like though. Best of luck.

I'm too clumsy with my glass to justify spending any more. But you are right, I guess.

Any 'affordable' American artists you'd recommend? Not expecting dhgate prices, just trying to gauge how much I need to save up for a decent, well priced rig.

Or just post your 'go to' giftworthy recycler.

Abby,

I use Recyclers for dry herbs and I use them for dabs as well. (90% of the time I'm using dry herbs, haven't found a solid concetrates connect)

I enjoy the flavor, I also enjoy the "show". Two things that could be entirely subjective however I've noticed.

1.)Bigger hits are not as rough on my throat. I'm not sure if this is because there is more water or if the water stays with the vapor for longer idk.

2.) I feel like my water stays fresher. The taste of the herb after clean water and clean glass is unreal and IMHO more pronounced in recyclers (could have to do with less diffusion).

I always wanted a recycler and now that I have2 I can honestly say I don't use my other pieces NEARLY as much.

Prepulling or pre hitting a recycler before a dab is the most amazing experience. Everyone watches in amazement!

That's a REALLY good price for a beautiful made piece that works excellent.
That's the one I mentioned earlier. I think it's a steal at that price and if it wasn't for some other recent purchases I'd be all over it.

I will say that I love to use my JoDa/Coojo recycler with dry herb vapes. I find it preserves flavor very well due to the minimal percolation.

The best glass piece is one you enjoy using a lot. And I enjoy using my recycler a lot. The way it purrs when hitting it, seeing it swirl from above. It's my current favorite for aesthetic reasons alone. I just got done using it with my log. Here's an older pic of the two, and a custom GonG:

The best part in my opinion is watching the vortex. That's what is talked about by a recycler "performing" or it's "function".

A good recycler function should have a vortex that sticks around for a while, the longer the better.

Here's a function video of my recycler, it's not my video, it's the glassblower's. The function is even better after running some material through it, it makes it drain slower:

Note how it vortexes like a cyclone when it drains. A poorly made "recycler" will simply fill the chamber to a flat level, and then drain. It takes some finesse by the glassblower to make it vortex.

The main reason I'm not a fan of dry herb vapes paired with Recyclers is because Recyclers usually require some lung power and unrestricted airflow in order for function to really shine. Most of the dry herb vapes I'm familiar with dont work that great when you pull through them really hard or are restricted enough that the function never really gets going.

This isn't to say that I don't use one when vaping dry herb. My Gordo Scientific Recycling Hydra Tube pairs perfectly with my Vapexhale EVO, but that's what it was made exclusively to do.

There's really no special function going on with recyclers other than looking cool and having more water to filter through. A traditional diffuser system with lots of water does the same thing. I like 'em, too, but they're not magic. I think the blend of a fairly simple perc but with a lot of water provides a good balance for oils which is what most recyclers have.

Do you have a pic of that Gordo Scientific Recycler HT, @Deadshort480 ?

Leisure Incycler from ALT

Everyone prob seen these by now, One of my fav glass blowers just a prodo piece but all of his glass has amazing function and always a lot of chug even on his 20+ arm bubblers. Recyclers are good for the fact that they lower the volume in the piece so smoke has less room to get to you. These incyclers actually filter quite a bit through its cycler but only has 4 slits so taste is great. I might actually get one of the illuminati ones eventually.

What Leisure incycler do you own? Did you ever get the illuminati? I was looking at one of those then decided to spurge and go for the baby jesus incylcer with a swiss tree perc.

I couldnt be happier with my purchase and may get a larger version or get a Leisure Elite.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one of these https://nimbusglass.com/products/schott-glass-nimbus-klein. Anyone have anything good or bad to say. They claim they are American made incyclers. I love the design of the base on these pieces.
I’ve heard they use American glass tubes and rods but the pipes themselves are assembled in China. From the looks of those pieces I tend to believe that. But at the end of the day you won’t find them on DHG and TAG is gone for now, so if you love it, buy it. Personally for the money I’d grab something else but that’s just me
