Lol, damn you guys are fast! Indeed yesterday I finally published my Crafty CU-Mod. After the wild success of my Mighty CU-MOD, It was a project I'd been thinking about for at least a year but had no time/access to make one. However I finally got a cooling unit thanks to a fellow FC member and I was able to trace the profile and design the finished parts. Sadly it took me at least two months to FINALIZE this part (the mold went through at least 5 revisions before finally getting a good fit).

Making big moves with the business right now folks. I'm making some huge investments, and hiring some new talent to help take this business to the next level. I apologize to everyone for the recent delays in shipping and responding to emails. I hate making people wait, but there's just not enough time in one day to do everything I want/need!

Thank you again to all of my friends and customers, I wouldn't be here without your support
hi @Ratchett - great news about expanding the business. Yep, I believe you communicated back that my order for a bunch of adapters/plugs might be a bit delayed. That's ok with me if this is from your expanding and improving your operation.

I cannot over emphasize the importance our small and innovative MJ business ecosystem that is well in touch with what vapers want. Best of luck to you and keep making these great essential accessories and supplies.

@Ratchett

just a FYI

im in UK
ive got two adapters.. (thanks - they work nicely)
both times there was a tax and handling charge
that increased the cost (proportionately.. quite a bit)

but my vapcap also from US - which cost more - didnt get taxed at all

i dont know if this experience is same in other EU countries

thinking you might be able to re-label them or something
..i dont really know
i dont have the packaging any more to check what was the difference between them

hopefully other FC members will know more

oh and good luck with your expansion!

Thank you for your input. VAT taxes suck, I know it. Unfortunately while I cannot speak for other companies, I'm afraid that I am required to label my orders as merchandise and list the value on these labels. In the past I personally have had two orders returned to me because they were labeled gift (the post office knows me too well - they know I don't ship "gifts"). And I have seen my former employer get heavily fined by customs for failing to label the proper item value on the forms (customs literally visited my work's website and looked up the item on the store to check the list price vs the declared value and called bullshit on us when it was 1/100th the value!)

That said however, in the past customers have requested in the order notes for discrete shipping or mentioned a maximum value to list on the shipment. I can modify some parts of the label accordingly to help, but not all of it sadly. Next time you order mention the taxes and I'll try to take care of you

I'm hoping eventually to find a partner in Europe to act as a distributor for my products, at which point the cost of shipping and taxes should decrease substantially.

The Crafty CU Mod would work on the Boundless CFX, if sized appropriately. The same type of adaption would work for the CFX.
They have a WPA, but it gets pretty warm. Doc

That's awesome! I'll be happy to confirm this officially once I have a @Boundless Vape Technology Vaporizer in my hands to test the fit

I know you're a busy man but I was wondering if the herbalizer song v3 is still in the works?

To be fully honest I was hoping to acquire a state of the art desktop injection molding system by now so I could make this product using some new silicone material, however the manufacturer doesn't seem to give a shit about my money or business so I've had to take a different route with the business.

As such this part will have to be manufactured using my current silicone process (not ideal, but it works).

Just to clarify what we need for the v3 herbie SonG:
* Slightly shorter skirt than the V2 herbie song
* Revert from multi-fit to standard 18mm male fitting

Am I missing anything from the v3 wishlist?

Herbie V2 Song was slightly too long to work with my miniVAP Flexicone mod (bottom Herbie bowl + Flexicone).
The V2 was slightly too long as the Flexicone was held slightly above the bowl/ did not seat on the bottom Herbie bowl.
An in-between V3 would work great on the stock complete bowl and with Flexicone.

18 mm male fitting would be fine and it would be nice if the inner air path size would fit a standard hose where you could insert a standard silicone hose for a generic whip. Especially if the hose size that fits is slightly larger than the stock herbie whip which many find too narrow. With 18 mm male, that should accommodate a slightly wider hose.

For herbie owners, a reminder that Flexicones mean never having to clean the Herbie bottom bowl AND never having to clean the top bowl/screen as they are not even used :)

Herbie%20Songs%20HT.jpg

Do you even have a Herbie bowl and Flexicone module at this time??
It seems V1 + 5/16" might work the best??
How much longer is side skirt on V2 vs V1 ?
Available for prototype test....

Yup, a half height (split the skirt length between the v1 and the v2 models), I gotcha

Forgive me, I'm not a whip guy, what size is the standard size whip? I have the 3/8" whip posted on my store, is that the size you're referring to? I believe the Herbalizer uses a smaller hose than that, correct?

Negative, I'm afraid I do not have either of those parts in my possession at this time. :(

My crude measure shows V1 + 5/16" would work best . I'm guessing that's a little over half way between but ???

Any Herbie owners with better tools vs a 1/16" ruler??
I get Herbie whip OD of just under 3/8" and ID of 1/4"
I never have used the Herbie whip, on rare occasions your Song with a whip jammed into it. Many find the stock whip too narrow so a Song that fits a wider whip would be great.
So your 18 male should hold a wider whip

Is your 3/8" whip ID like 5/16 ?? OK--went to site and yours is 3/8" ID so much better than narrow Herbie size !!

Hey man - I am looking for an adapter (heat safe, of course) to mate a Crafty cooling unit with a glass stem that is 11 to 13mm OD - say a FW3/4 capsule, Arizer stem, or Underdog stem.....

I've tried to do this just with silicone tubing but the stub on the CU is too short and the tubing slips off. I could find some heat safe adhesive and glue the silicone tubing to the mouthpiece, but I'd rather avoid that.

Is this something that you can do?? Please let me know!

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, that's an interesting concept, I'm really not quite sure how possible it is right now (need to plan the part's geometry out a bit more and then figure out if I can make a mold to actually produce a temperature safe part.

I was thinking that the top of the adapter (the end that mates with the CU) would have two slots - just like the top of the crafty body - for the two CU tabs to slide into, and rotate 90deg to lock into place. The bottom could be as simple as a straight nipple/hose barb to attach silicone tubing to - or, if the material was flexible enough, you could eliminate the silicone tubing and have a female coupling at the bottom to stick the glass stem right into.

@Ratchett I wanted to ask about your basket screen tool. If you left some excess screen in there could you give it more of a top hat shape? I was posting in the noochie thread about using basket screens and it made me think of your tool. I'd like one to be top hat shaped so it can be lowered into the airpath and have the lip/brim keep it from falling down and hopefully near the top. It would be to make the bowl a little smaller or possibly for concentrates.

I'm betting those screen are too wide, I'll have to check the diameters when I get home, but I might be able to mess with them a bit after they're shaped to make them fit.

So it would fit into this and the flower would go into the screen instead of the bigger/deeper ceramic bowl:

I believe this may be possible, although the final "basket" depth will be greatly reduced. Here is an example of pressing a screen partially and then removing from the press:

You'll note there are some pleats where the screen folds on itself, this may be an issue for you. Although it may not be an issue, I'm not certain

I'm betting those screen are too wide, I'll have to check the diameters when I get home, but I might be able to mess with them a bit after they're shaped to make them fit.

I offer two different diameters, the largest one is roughly 11.25mm in diameter on the basket. The other one is a bit smaller (roughly 20% smaller diameter)

In other news everyone, sorry for the radio silence!!! I've been crazy busy since I returned to the studio and have been working hard to catch up on outstanding orders before I get back to R&D. Once I get caught up I've got a lot of exciting things to introduce.

To everyone still waiting on an outstanding order, I deeply apologize for the wait. I'm running my printers nearly 24/7 and working 18-20 hours a day manufacturing and packing orders as fast as possible. But don't be shy, I'd be more than happy to offer you a personal updated shipping estimate if desired.

2017 should be an exciting year to say the least. Big things in the pipeline, hopefully they will free up my time so I can get back to what I enjoyed - Research & Development!!

Happy Holidays everyone, stay safe out there! :spliff:

I got my goodies from @Ratchett over the weekend. I am so happy with my urchin stand, it really organized a bunch of tools as well as my stems and vapcaps. I really like the blue colour for the jyarz funnel. I am also very happy with the milaana button cover. It gives extra protection for the button because the case I take it out with is soft.

@Ratchett - He doesn't make the vapes you use, he makes them better!

 I love it!

Phew, what a hell of a few weeks there! Fortunately you'll all be happy to hear I've added another 3D printer to the lineup and it's already printing new orders within hours of it's delivery this morning!

This means I should hopefully be caught up with my outstanding orders just in time for me to close down the studio again for the Christmas holiday! :bang:

The good news however is that I am making a lot of progress on multiple new products and I'm looking forward to releasing them in the next few weeks (hopefully I can release another product or two before Christmas!)

Accessories keep me away from VAS infection... mods are my vaccine. Loving my PAX2 SonG so much... that I'm still using the B-stock (well, not so B) and I'm keeping the shiny, brand new one for... well... I don't know! But since with a half drop of virgin olive oil (or cannabis, why not) the B one comes as new again... love will last forever.

Great new year, Ratchett!

Can you twist the crafty/mighty wpa v2 mods on and off the device while its installed on the cu? If so is there any reason someone with a spare crafty cu couldnt buy a crafty wpa v2 and use it on a mighty?

@Ratchett i summon you, please if your not too busy designing stuff.
