For safety the IQ actually is programmed to not accept batteries that are unsafe to use. For example If you try to use a battery with lower than an 8amp rating the device will not power on because that is not a safe battery to be using.

I'm genuinely curious about how you do that? Does the device measure the cell IR? Or does it measure the sag under load? Or cell temperature maybe?

How do you cope with aging cells? Your stock cell might well ship with a 10A rating when it's new but over time the real practical value will drop and the cell will sag and heat more.

Trying to work out how to spend my $51 credit. Only thing that looks good is the 10m to 14m water adapter and the carry case.

Do you have any plans to release other accessories? Can you tell us what kinda things are around the cornor so i know if i should save my 50 bucks.

Lol I know right. I'm curious to know if these guys keep their bathrooms as clean as they're worried about keeping this vape haha . I'm surprised there aren't more questions about some of our newer features such as Boost mode, Smart Path™, or the DaVinci App. I'm sure they'll come as more reviews get posted and after pre-order sales ship.

Sorry buddy but with such comments you just lost me as a possible future customer as well as most of my buddies that come to me for advice...

Do you really think that a smartphone app or a marketing name for different temps are more important than the longevity and maintenance of your vape? Which costs an arm and a leg while being just another conduction vaporizer with a few new gimmicks up its sleeve? And when there are convection and hybrid vapes out there at a fraction of the price that blow the IQ away with their performance, taste, vapor production, efficiency and durability? Vapes with sustainable materials that respect the environment much more than another plastic machine?
Oh, and I have no idea how your toilet looks (and I really have no wish to find out after what you said) but I try to keep mine very clean and unlike your vape's oven, the toilet's ceramics can be cleaned spotless for maybe a lifetime! :|

Looking forward for the shitstorm heading my way....

EDIT: Mind you, a dirty, glazed oven will also spoil taste in the long run, performance as well possibly...

I dont have a car, or a licence.

There has only been one review so far. VC said he liked it a lot. Lets not jump to conclusions. Do you have one?

P.S. My toilet is cleaner than yours. Ill send you pics that will make you want to get your rubber gloves on and scrub until your hands bleed.

+1 I would get a nitecore charger. Usefull bit of kit being able to charge pretty much every cylindrical battery in existance.

I had an i4 and was very happy with it but sold it with my Air. Just upgraded to a D4, which has a pretty cool digital display.

I am sure it is buddy! :p But if I put my mind on it it can always get spotless. Unlike a porus ceramic oven which absorbs resin. I hope this isn't the case with production IQ's...

And, although I have seen VC demonstrating a good vapor production with short hits, (but with very fast exhales ;)) it's the nature of conduction vapes so far and the constant heating of the load that can't give the same efficiency as on-demand convection and hybrid vapes. Or such potent hits.

It's not just different temps, it's a customizable algorithm that changes temp during a session...pretty damn cool IMO.

I fail to see any real world application for this unless I am a robot taking the same exact hits in every session and I have only one strain to use which have the same exact reaction to heat every time.

I think you can save multiple functions on the app with different durations and curves on the heating slope. It sounds really useful to me. When I use my Mighty, I have to manually ramp up the temp throughout the session, and this tends to follow a very similar pattern - gradually rising from 165C to 195C over a 10 minute span. I turn it up 3 degrees every few hits. With the IQ, I'll be able to automate this ramping up, which is cool.

@Davinci_vaporizer Please answer this, thank you
Is this discount for all us previous DaVinci customers, regardless of whether or not we preorder? I'd like to wait a few weeks, and still be able to get the $51 discount. A friend of mine is also not sure if the discount is tied to being a previous DaVinci customer, or to simply preordering the product? Thank you!

It is true some people are a bit over-the-top in regards to the cleaning thing.

Well, maybe because we are past Ascent users and the maintenance with this vape was a chore? It's by far the hardest to clean of all my arsenal. Not only the tiny fragile glass parts with spots that no tool can reach, but it's messy overall: in just a few sessions you get oil oozing everywhere between the two swiveling lid parts, making the device very smelly (a liability when living under prohibition)

It's not just different temps, it's a customizable algorithm that changes temp during a session...pretty damn cool IMO.

The Ascent also had a similar (but prolly less advanced) gimmick, and I used it.... zero times! :\

Very much appreciated. Since the ascent was ahead of its time years ago im sure there were some improvements made.

I agree with you, @Reggie Watts. You get to define a temp/time profile which I think many may find useful. We all have features/function preference, we are all not the same, but on this I agree with you while being completely Ok with @natural farmer not finding this feature valuable.

Wrt to reviews out there....yes, Bud the Vape Critic has one and posted a review. However, as much as I like and completely respect Bud, I also would like to see more than one in the wild and more than one reviewed. Like to see comments from a FC beta group, really.

Cheers

Can anyone tell me if the discount is tied to preordering, or tied to being a previous DaVinci customer?) Or do both criteria need to be met?) Anyone?

My question has still not been addressed. Does it need to be a PREORDER to get the credit? Will you get that same credit if you don't preorder? Because preordering ends tomorrow, no?

And you didn't even address whether it matters if you are a previous DaVinci customer? Does it?
