Give me a bit and i will answer, But its boxed up still and un-used i thought i would be going outdoors more but the weathers awful so another few weeks yet. And i needed to buy some iso to clean it and the postage people keep intercepting 1l bottles as hazardous so i do not want to gunk it up without having proper cleaner.

Its not like there is anything better anyways and S&B do not do returns so in the box it will remain yet.

I came here to represent my herborizer. I have the bubbler XL, and using it reminds me of dreaming.

If deciding on models, consider that the bubbler is comfortably gripped once set up, and while I find it more effective sitting down to use anyway, it definitely makes it easier to transport.

I am loving about setting 6 on the variator and don't find tons of value going higher, although higher values make me sleepier if that's what I am going for at the cost of much of the rest of the high.

One thing I did not expect was the screen size to be so unordinary, and now that I am down to my last two, I find myself soaking them in alcohol then rinsing, drying, and replacing them when they get clogged. I will have to order more once I find out who sells them. I would also like to try titanium screens if they are available.

Hi all. I have owned a herborizer sphere xl for over a year. I had already used a friend's identical model and liked it. I previously used a large verdamper, and found my friend's herborizer to be gentler, tastier and smoother while still packing a punch. We always used it on temp setting number 7, which is equal to 200°C. Anyway, I didnt visit my friend again last year, after I got my own herborizer sphere xl, until just before christmas.
I loaded up a usual bowl at his house, on setting 7, and took some pulls. I was astounded at how different his injector is to mine. The hits were much bigger with more ease than my injector, on the exact same setting. Harsher as well, but worth it for the buzz. I was way more wasted with just a few pulls than I ever got from my model.
There are mixed opinions on the herborizer, and I really wonder if it has to do with great variability between injectors. It may be just a different temperature calibration, but I'm not sure. I have tried my model on higher settings, but still did not seem to be able to re-create the same hard hitting, effortless and satisfying experience and buzz as with my friend's model. And it seemed to bother my throat more as well, without even giving large hits, but I may have imagined that for all I can be sure.

Either way, I do know for certain that there is a HUGE difference between my injector and his one. I love smoking his herborizer for the great buzz I get. My one I have never really enjoyed and is time and energy consuming without enough reward. I have just returned my injector and powerpack to Verdampftnochmal in Germany, under warranty, but I had to pay postage from UK. They are going to test it for me. I just hope they don't say that it is working fine and return it to me. I really hooe they can tell it is not working right and send me a replacement that kicks ass like Dave's one.

I just wanted to share that anyway, it is so pertinent to this entire thread.

Are you sure you had the XL injector?
When I bought my herborizer the shop had a badly sorted box and I ended up having a regular innjector on an XL power supply and it barely made any vapor at the maximum temperature setting. After wondering why for a bit I realized the mistake and had the injector exchanged for the right one and it has worked flawlessy since then.

Yes I am 100 % certain. Only the xl has temperature adjustment, if you see my post you will see how I am talking about the specific temperature settings on the variator, which is how I compared the two models and noted the big difference, when they are both running on setting number 7. It is definitely xl or otherwise there would be no temp adjustment at all.
That said, I cant remember what setting the basic injector is set at- I think it may be number 6, or 190°C, which would account for the weaker hits.
If you had the verdamper set at 190 (it is at a constant 200), then the hits would still be very good, because the air flow is so much greater.

However, the herborizer does not allow much air flow, so a higher temperature is needed to produce decent hits.
I really think this issue merits some discussion, and I would encourage any herborizer xl owner to try and compare their own model to another on the exact same temp settings and report any observations.

Hi again, and Im sorry if I seemed a tad dismissive or unappreciative of your input, it is actually a very worthwhike consideration.
Anyway I looked on Verdampftnochmal to see what the differences are between the basic and xl injectors themselves.
Visually I can't tell them apart, but on the basic injector page this is what they say:

Do NOT use the herborizer basic with the XL controller!
Work only on 12VDC
Plug DC 2,1/5,5mm only on 12VDC
Plug DC 2,1/5,5mm

So it would seem that the basic injector will not reach a higher heat than 190, whereas mine does actually respond to temp adjustments.

You can tell them apart from a small marking on the heater near the glass bumps. It says XL or Basic depending on the model.

Also the XL model has green heatshrink tubing while the Basic has black.
When I tried the Basic injector with the XL controller I could adjust the temperature but even at the max setting it wasn't enough to work properly.

Thank you that is very helpful. I dont have my injector at the moment to check it, but hopefully the lads in Germany will check for that, and if they say they want to just return it to me as it is, I will ask them to at least double check this.

I must to get one of this vape...at least to support my own country vaporizer "industry".

When I was a beginner i never considered it cause the glassware to break but after 3 years vaping with bubblers and dealing with glass stems I didn't broke a lot of stuff so maybe i can consider a XL heating system....

Hi everybody. Great news, I had a reply from Verdampftnochmal in Germany who I returned my injector to for testing. I was worried they would say it was fine, as if my friend just got lucky and got a super powered one. However, this is what they said:

Note:Hello Alex,

after several days of testing, we found
differences with our reference device. Your
heating element was defective.

We replace the heating element! Have a lot of fun
with the device now ;-)

Im so pleased, the herborizer will finally satisfy me and get me where I want to be at last after a whole year plus of ownership and never being satisfied with it.
If I had not visited my friend's and seen the difference with his injector, I never would have known it was defective and never would have been happy with this vaporizer.
So, anybody out there who is not satisfied with the hits and the strength of their herborizer xl please consider that you may have a defective injector, and see if you can compare it to another or get the shop to test it for you.

I'm so pleased and cant wait to get it back, peace to all!

I find cleaning the screens to be a real sinch. I just hold them in a lighter flame for 10 or 15 seconds, which burns off all the resin and debris (it smells amazing, like old school hash). Then I just use a razor blade to scratch off the charred remains and the gauze is brand new.

I got plenty of spares for it, but I am sure I could go a lifetime on 5 maximum, in case any of the edges got messed up and they needed replacing. But keeping the gauzes clean is no effort at all.

My Roor Heater is exactly the same!
XL version, just rebranded.

Hi Herborizer fans!

Quick intro: I own a Herborizer Sphere XL since 2011 and I use it on a daily basis since past February. It has been 7 months since then and I'm very happy with it.

My question is: any of you know about taking the Herborizer (heat element and bowl) in a plane flight inside the hand suitcase? Is it possible? Anyone tried it before?

I already took it with me in a high speed rail trip where my bag passed through a scan and detector, nothing happened... but an international airflight might be different. I wanted to take it with me (going to a cannabic fair for 5 days in a different country) but I'm afraid that they don't let me take it and then I suppose I would "loose" it...

Thanks in advance and sweet vapes!

Hi folks !

I just hang up with Sebastien on phone..

:myday:

There is a new product in development, new adjustable temperature glass/titane injector, new bowl.
Smaller system, more powerful !

The new injector won't fit on actual bowls, as it will be 18mm joint instead of 24mm.

Expected by the end of the year..

Wait & see

Do you know if the new injector will still work with the old power supply/temp controller?

What's a great new, now I know which is my next vape!

I feel ashamed cause I live close enough the Herborizer factory and never ordered or tested one. While I joined FC i was under the forum influence and bought mainly some of the most popular vape in FC at this time (VXL Cloud, Thermovape, Flashvape,...)....but not the Herbo!

But I changed my mind and I'm looking for all this "artisanals"(plus or less) vapes made by passionaria (Logs vapes, MistVape, Milaana, Apollo, The Project, ESV, MiniVap,...) even if I like to continue to test vapes of big companies....

I want to add how durable seems to be this small company, not one of this start up only made for the fast $!

Herborizer, your time will come to sit on my desk!

Hi, just browsing but I see the standard has a "set" setting (340-360 F) and the XL has variable temp.

Is the variable temp a "dial" like 1:00, 2:00 etc or what? My real question is can you set exact temp like on Herbalizer (eg 430 F) or is it approx setting??
Thanks

P.S. Where are they made? I see PPN is close but ??
Thanks
