***Gamers*** What are you playing?

I've been playing Starbound, it's like No Mans Sky x Terraria x Stardew Valley.

It's real fun. There is some wonky quest line of a story, but I've just been piloting around and getting resources, gonna start building a little settlement soon on a planet I liked.

Lot of fun though, I've played like 6-7 hours and have't even left the system I started in

If you like this kind of game, check out Rimworld. I'm not usually big on early access but this one's the real deal, already more of a game than most full releases.

Amusingly to us perhaps, the most recent update added a full drugs system to the game, so if you care to you can not only toke up but grow and sell weed (and beer, cocaine, etc) as a cash crop.

I mentioned the College Football PC game I'm playing...

In the playoff. Tie game. So vaped I forgot what point of the game it was. Incomplete pass. 3rd down & goal from the 1. Then it hit me... OH SHIT! 4th quarter with 1 second left! Time to kick the FG... WHEW!

Had it and returned it cause I didn't totally understand it and I felt the interface was not friendly in showing me what to do. Seems like it had potential tho and it does still look up my alley.....

I'm currently playing NHL 17 HUT and I don't know how I feel about it.

Synergy is in, chemistry is out and now I can barely fucking score.

I love this game and hate it so much.

Fuck EA, as tradition.

i just started playing the mass effect trilogy for ps3 . i missed out when i had my 360 so much cheaper.when i finish im going to get the witcher 3 , dark souls 3 and i have to finish arkham knight.

the ME trilogy is my favorite games EVER besides Morrowind.
Such a good trio of games...1 was the best, more RPG than action like 2/3 were...but still, one of the best game trios out there for real for real.

people say that the first mass effect has bad graphics and stiff gameplay it does not. Its 1000 times better than what i heard and only problem i have with the game is the damn over heating system and engineers only have pistols(im a engineer). never played Morrowind or any of the elder scrolls games , wasn't a big rpg fan beside jade empire and knights of the old republic (love it). they need to make a next generation remaster of the knights of the old republic collection . would pay full retail for it

Still playing Lost Odyssey, a JRPG, on a 360. I've never had any game bring me to tears before but this one does. Sucked me right into the storyline.

So here's an example of what I mean. The main character is Kaim, a person who is immortal and has lived for thousands of years but has lost all of his memory when the game first begins. Every once in awhile, he has faint memories of his past and those memories are presented in little short stories. They get unlocked as the game progresses. Here is but one of them.

The game is a Japanese game and the stories are written by Kiyoshi Shigematsu (and translated by Harvard professor Jay Rubin). The game as well as these stories have a very Japanese feel and sensibility to them and gives rise to the question, is immortality really a good thing or is it a curse having to experience the lives and deaths of hundreds of your wives and children.

Take the time to soak it in.....the music, the sound effects, the fading words, etc, etc. Just take a bit of quiet time and watch but before you do, I strongly suggest that you blow it up full screen and get out a box of tissues.

Oh god.... I remember those little stories they'd hit you with.... immortality is the worst.

There's a game that has been recently ported to the Ipad, "Rome: Total War". I've played it on the computer long ago and loved it and paid the $10 (Actually, $9.99) for the app.

https://www.feralinteractive.com/en/games/rome-ios/
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rome-total-war/id1106831630?mt=8

It. Is. Amazing.

I have no idea how they ported so much processing to the Ipad. The pad can get hot after a bit and will run down the batteries faster than anything else I've seen. But, it works. Better than with the mouse. They took the touch interface and ran with it; making the game better.

If you don't know of the Total War series, they are strategic games that have tactical moments. The strategy is like a simplified Civilization and the tactical battles are like nothing else you've played. (I've seen some TV shows use the battle software to put some action on screen.)

If you like this kind of game, I guarantee the $10 will work out to pennies an hour in play time.

The newest Hitman is awesome - has mixed reviews online but honestly pay them no mind. It's classic big level multiple kill style Hitman. Yeah annoying you always need to sync online (they did just add offline mode) and annoying it was episodic but a) it's released in full now and b) the levels are fucking massive enough that I understand why episodic. I played almost 9 hours and other than half hour - 45 min tutorial I've only played first level repeatedly. Did get Silent Assassin!

OldOyler

Fire it again. I can still find the ground.
Peace all.

Have had my Vault suit on for only a few months...played to level 50 at least twice, yet...

BF1 (Best MP in years!)
Titanfall 2 (Just as good as BF1 imo but a LOT faster)
Watch Dogs 2 (Need a hefty rig to run it at ultra but it's hella fun)
Dishonored 2 (Stealth? Murder? Rats feeding on enemies? HELL YEAH)
Betrayer (fun hack n slash)
The Dwarves (seems like it could be a good time killer)
MGSPP (stealth....murder....open world, pretty cool so far)
