@6079Smith @vapen00b , thank you for heads up about olive oil becoming nasty. I will order some SB beeswax/oil next order but for now it is at least a little protected from stain (and more gorgeous)

I used a chinese 14mm stem bought from a glass blower supply (in USA do not remember who was), cutted to fit Jr cap-on

Shitty pictures but pictures nonetheless

Nice pics and videos all! Love seeing all the different brickedout setups.

Eh I've had good luck elemenating bud particals in mouth, place a small screen in the Jr's top mouthpiece side, just remove the stem and drop a screen in tight. Other than that gonna keep her clean when I finally get some more fine Mighty screens.

I haven't been using with water much since most every hit is smooth, I like that upsidedown setup with bud sandwiched not too tight between two screens.

That's a very good looking setup!:)

Where did you place the extra screen? Above the herb chamber in the metal tube, I'd guess?

Thank you, they're currently one of my favorite pairings!

I did not use the metal tube, I wanted to keep the material out of the tube and contained loosely in the bowl. At first I had a screen wedged into the very top of the bowl but found using an oversized screen simply resting flat on top was held nicely by the metal tube when assembled and made for easier packing. With a very loose pack I was able to shake-stir.

I am getting blisters on my finger from these shitty torches lol, true sign of a Brick addict I guess.

That's my biggest issue right now finding decent torches while I'm waiting for the ones I ordered to get here.

I want to try crushing huge bowls in this thing but stash is getting low and I'm broke till next week.
I Did try a kief bowl on top some herb and got a few monster hits!
I love playing with this thing haha. I use one of the PIU drawstring pouches to carry in and it fits nicely.
Added extra screen on both bricks under the mouthpieces

Hey everyone I just want to let you know that @StickyBricks has been real busy prepping for champs. There is also a lot of behind the scenes stuff going on including moving to a new Lab. If anyone has reached out to him and haven't gotten a response its for these very reasons. With that being said anyone can reach out to me anytime for anything SBL related.
He will be on FC soon with an update.

:peace:

IIRC someone here or on main brick thread reported a big improvement with 4 flame lighter, do not recall who was.. Anyway, it is the same for me.
Obviously is better suited for high temp fast extraction than low temp sipping but it is really instant cloud (and charring-combustion if you hit too long)

I use it without the screen and with a mighty capsule instead: two hit on one side (rotating it 180^) and twist of capsule for two more hits, and done without real stirring

Like it a lot

A triple flame for the junior???

I have a hard enough time keeping my single flame on medium so I don't burn shit up.

Maybe there is something I'm missing...?

Might have to try one next week...damn TAS

I'm in the same boat. I think anything more than a single is overkill on any of the brick fare, on the SBJ my torch flame is 1/2"-3/4" tops and I'm definitely not sipping!

I seem to recall using bigger flames with I first started on the daisy and progressively moving down. Just the thought of a triple torch near my SBJ is disconcerting!

Yeah, I've been reluctant to try a triple or quad torch with my Sticky vapes. It just doesn't feel right. I've even used the huge Bernzomatic single when I first got my Brick, which is probably more overkill than a multi-jet torch would be.

Maybe I'll try it out, I do like to experiment. I'll probably try on the bigger brother first because it's more forgiving with strong flames.

Those dual, trip, or quad lighters do just like expected. ..more and more fast! Just holdem far back from the intake. Personally I'm not in that much of a hurry so my eagle torch is what I sport.

Exactly what you say, flames are very far away, the outer less bright one do not touch intake glass.
Fast and at charring risk.
mighty capsule gives a little protection from over heat though and I guess also spread a little the convective stream (?)

Edit: applied a layer of natural beeswax melted and rubbed into the wood with the help of a hair drier, it is very smooth now.
Love it more and more

Had to test my Blazer flame I dab with after reading all the torch talk... Wow packed a punch with nice berry flavor on first hit of some fresh granddaddy purps. Spent the bowl fast but man.... nice and smooth brickbaked.

When out with the Jr faster is better, ha but can't walk around with a big ol dab torch either!

sorry if this has already been answered, but is the bowl size the same diameter as the brick, or is it smaller?

Originally it was...but on the production model the bowl is smaller to create a more even vape; given the intake switch.

I think you meant to say, the original Jr betas had a bowl even larger than the Sr, but testing revealed it to be less even extraction. So now the production models are smaller, but should be the exact same size same screens etc.

Thank you, they're currently one of my favorite pairings!

Very interesting, going to need to try this, I had rambled off another Brick portable idea to @StickyBricks while under the influence of beta Jr and it involved an upside down bowl like that, but with the intake at a different angle direction

It wasn't quite as convenient as other methodology I've seen here but sure fun to try. If there were a stem/bowl/intake combo one could just set in their glass, I'd be all over it.

Take the intake/bowl half of the Brick Sr. and whittle it down as small as practical but have a WonG 14/18 straight out the bottom with a Jr style bent intake.

Or something like that, I'm under the influence of production Jr. :)

Yes that was another one of my hideas too lol :ko::tup:
Just now thinking maybe even make the bowl a little smaller than the standard DaisyBrick bowl, in between it and Lily (3/8in and 1/2)

I like it, hideas are the best sort of ideas! Er, okay, so sometimes not the best.. but this one is gold :science:

What's cool too is that, barring clearance issues with glass, it need not be too elegant or anything.. blocky would be apropos, considering it's family lineage. I even like blocky as a name for the creation in my head, lol

So I have been finding the Jr to be a lot trickier to hit than its bigger brother. The full size brick I feel like I really have to try to even get a scorched hit, and I have yet to combust at all. With the Jr I keep alternating between barely getting a hit, or scorching the load. I took it to a friend's place (friend who is open to vaporizers but is still primarily a smoker) and he combusted on his 2nd try (partially my fault, as his first hit was barely a hit at all and I encouraged him to get in closer with the flame.)

But I think I may have solved it. As you probably know fire doesn't pass through a fine mesh screen. My thinking is that it is not that there is too much heat causing scorching and combustion, but rather that flame is still present and makes it to the load, especially with the shorter air path. So I stuffed a screen up into the metal ring under the intake. I still need to do some more testing to be totally sure, but I am pretty confident that this will reduce the chance of combustion by quite a bit.

My initial test after putting the screen in was to use the torch I use for the full size brick, which is turned up quite a bit higher than the torch I've used with the Jr. Got a solid hit (from an already mostly cashed bowl as I was really pushing it and still expected to combust) and a nice toasted color in the load but no scorching.

I initially thought of putting a smaller screen directly under the glass tube, but didn't have any the right size. But I have a bunch of screens roughly the same size as the ones for the Brick's bowl, and once I worked it up in the metal tube it seems pretty snug and probably won't slip out.

I noticed a couple pages back (and similar discussion just a couple posts ago) about putting screens before the bowl to prevent the load from spilling out through the intake tube in transit (or to use the Jr upside down) and you guys may have inadvertently solved two issues at once.

After I have had a chance to put this setup through some more paces I will follow up. (I would have given it a good solid testing already, but yesterday was super busy with a dinner party at a friends house and then I had won tickets to see legendary reggae dub madman Lee "Scratch" Perry last night. He turned 80 this year!)

For me The first one or two hits I don't get much vapor, I just tend to cook the herb a bit. Then the next couple hits will be monster sized. Then a few smaller ones. Depending on bowl size of course.

It's weird since I seem to be the opposite of everyone with having a easier time with Jr. Than Senior Brick. I haven't combusted yet only scorched a bit.

I'm going to try that extra screen method @pushpaw and also ordering the S&B dosing caps in a few days!

Personally when this happens to me it's because the flowers are more on the moist/sticky end.

I lower the flame (which is also great at preventing scortching.) And do a dry out hit...then pulverize the bud and go for a big hit.

Might not be your fix (if you can call it that), buts it's worth a shot.

@pushpaw look forward to hearing your testing results!

I'm having the same experience too. Received my jr. on saturday and dove right in. I was either hardly getting anything at all or it would end it charring/combustion. After numerous sessions on saturday, I put jr. down and went back to the brick sr. just so I could get my groove back. The junior had made me paranoid....i was taking forever to finish off small little bowls because I was so afraid of charring. So I just thought I would come back to junior later....my thumb was gettting sore from the lighter and I was just burning through material trying to experiment with torch length, draw speed and length, etc.

Vapcaped all day yesterday and decided to give the jr. a whirl before bed. I was super careful about flame distance. First few hits just kind of cooked the bowl...not a whole lot of vapor. Finished up the bowl in about 6 rips by being super conservative with torch distance. Unfortunately I still got some charring....it seems like no matter the distance after a long draw there will be some scorching. Still last nights session was the best I've had since getting jr. on saturday. I'm going to give your mod a go this evening and see if I can get results more on par with brick sr. But yeah, this has been a much steeper learning curve for me compared to the brick sr.

I like butane vapes.
Not sure where to ask this, but will there be any vaporizers smaller than the SBJ from SBL? Like around the same size as a cigarette box? Don't get my wrong, my SBJ has taken place for my daily driver, but having a scaled down, super pocket friendly version would be awesome. Just a thought...(8, thanks to sticky brick junior)
