Vaponic Herbal Vaporizer

Vaponic was my first vaporizer , i think that it is a very underrated one. The flavour are very good, first hit is amazing, and when you master it can get little puffs or clouds. Imo fragility is the downside of this vape.
It has a learning curve but practice can be fun. It feels like a joint in the hand and i like that feeling.

I like it too. Have you tried the VapCap?

No yet, i've ordered one and now i am waiting for it.
You'll like it better I believe. I've had the Vaponic for a couple years until that fateful day that I dropped it. So looking and not wanting to spend 300+ on the firefly 2 I got the Vapcap and it's well worth the price. There is no guessing when to stop heating the chamber for the proper temperature.

I don't know it yet. Still waiting. But the vaponic works great for me, i usually cover one of the holes completely with my finger and a half of the other one to get thicker vapor. Draw slowly too. I really like the flavour in this vape.

Been using for 2 years and def my favorite one.

Has anyone found a way to extract and consume the resin when it is all shiny gold color?

I havent found a way yet so i take out the outer glass chamber and heat the inside chamber and smoke it that way. Need to be careful not to lean the heat on the side you will be smoking otherwise you will burn your lips and fingers.

Juat try to direct the resin to the other side of the glass.

Anyone has a better method? Hit me up please

Please let me know when you get it,will you? I am interested in other vapes and how they compare to vaponic. Not that i am dissatisfied with my vaponic, just wondering how it compares to others.

Do you have a vapcap ? I also wonder how it compares.

Isn't it the same with my method? Or did i misunderstand?
Heat the inner tube ,direct the resin to the other side of where you inhaling and inhale when the resin starts to bubble with heat?

has anyone tried vapcap or vapcap s?
how do they compare to vaponic?

I have dropped the mouth piece and it broke, 9 euros seems to much for the mouthpiece only, so I am also considering to buy alternatives that would not break so easily

The vapcap is more pratical in terms of controling the heat time, you can be more distracted.

Flavour is better in the Vaponic, and extraction is quicker in the vapcap unless you heat your vaponic too much too quick.

I got the OG Vapcap and the Vaponic is still in my arsenal. I prefer the Vaponic for its taste although it's more a session vape in comparison with the Vapcap. The Vapcap can offers easier bigger clouds and could be a perfect one-hitter but the OG I got was as breakable as the Vaponic is.

Differents devices..

...... I have a vapcap with silicone mouthpiece. The vaponic, as suggested by others, has a far superior taste. I love the concept of the vapcap, and I can appreciate why so many people like it.... but for me the vaponic comes up trumps, because flavour is pretty high up on my priority list.

If you go back a little in the thread, there are quite a few comparisons of these two.... with varied opinions.

I have been using the vaponic a lot more regularly recently. I really like the effects and the joint like experience.

I find it is at it's best when there is plenty of light and you can see the material so virtually no chance of overcooking, so for me that is usually a daytime session, or relaxing at a mates.

I discovered a loading tip. With the bowl so small it can be difficult to load, so i usually just load nuggs, however, if you have ground herbs, i found you can use the lid as a loader.

Put material in the bottom of the lid (where the pen nib rests) and the vaponic goes into the lid and the bowl fits perfectly over the hole, then turn both over and it all falls straight into the bowl. Perfect for out and about, just don't load too much into the lid or it spills. No more than about 3/4 of the 'nib hole' or the stuff that doesn't fit into the bowl will go everywhere.

I am considering getting a new Vaponic since I need a vape while waiting for the new Firewood's release.

I always loved my Vaponic but in my opinion the user experience rises and falls with the quality and reliability of the lighter being used. Are there any recommended ones that last a long time and allow a precise heat up while not needing constant butane refills?

I think that's very true.

I've had success with a mini butane torch designed for kitchen use (also suffices for other household tasks such as loosening seized nut/bolts) not dissimilar to this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COLOURWORKS-KITCHEN-BLOWTORCH-by-kitchen-craft/172239916129?_trksid=p2141725.c100338.m3726&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIC.MBE&ao=1&asc=20150313114020&meid=0249b5171ced4e1a86dee1bdecdd6bca&pid=100338&rk=3&rkt=25&sd=231082460071&var=471062407951

It still works and has had about 6 months use (I haven't really used it much since I got a Haze). Although the trigger mechanism has become lousy and I'm probably the only person who could get it to work. The refill hole has also become a bit 'iffy', but still works too. Large fuel tank - this is good. Maybe I should have bought a sturdier one. Dremel makes a similar sized torch and soldering iron, with very good build quality. But these are pretty expensive.

The high power of devices like this does cause the Vaponic to heat up pretty quickly, so you have to pay attention. But once you get your eye in this aspect becomes more of a convenience

I was looking for something even smaller and sleeker than this one since I do not mind the heating up to take some time.

Has anyone given this one a try: https://www.amazon.co.uk/TILAN-Wind...id=1468318519&sr=8-12&keywords=butane+lighter

I am not looking for a lighter for life, just a reliable one to keep in my pocket that is going to last me at least a year or two.

I had a couple of zippo-sized torches, but they broke, and then I lost them, and... I don't really care because they sucked. I find little things like that get too hot in my hands after the time period required to properly heat a Vaponic. That's why I opted for a larger-size blowtorch, with a trigger positioned far away from the flame. Plus they have the big fuel tank you're after. In my experience, most stuff in the £5-15 range just breaks immediately, or is shit right out of the factory.

Portability is not really on my agenda. To anybody standing >10 yards away a Vaponic user in the act looks like some kind of meth-head, so I don't really use it outdoors.

If you can spare £35, I think it would be pretty cool to walk around with a Dremel butane soldering iron at all times - seems like a pretty Inspector Gadget / Rick Sanchez thing to do. But that's just me and my proclivities.

Thank you for your answer, @bibblybobbly. I decided to go for the smalldouble flame lighter because I love having my vaponic and a small torch in my pocket for microdosing in public. As trashy as it feels, I found heating up a small load in a bathroom most convenient when I am out and about in the city. The whole procedure does not take longer than 30 seconds.

However, I could not try my new double-flamed beauty since I am having a minor cleaning problem. After accidentally combusting, I just wanted to give my vaponic a quick boil. After doing so I realised that one of my flatmates used the pot for instant noodles before and did not properly wash off all these nasty chemicals. My vaponic came out super milky from its bath. After boiling it another two times in an uncontaminated pot the vaporizer still has a slight chemical smell to it. Would an IPA bath get rid of this?

I only have a very amateur understanding of chemistry, and I don't know what noodle ingredient could have such an alarming effect. It seems to me that whether isopropanol would be effective depends on what exactly is contaminating your glass surface - iso is good at dissolving polar molecules. That said, I doubt it would do any harm to bathe it in iso.

hello there, guess i have to bring this thread back to life :)
i just got the Vaponic today and i am very impressed. only had the flowermate 5 mini before and this one is so much better. i for sure only keep the flowermate as a backup.
i mainly vape traditional hash.
the great question i have ask myself during this milestone first day with the vaponic is about the flavour. at first flavour is perfect, first draw is very nice. sometimes even before reheating the flavour of the hash is already gone. at some tries it was kind of neutral. and at some tries it was kind of metallic?!
could it be that the metallic flavour is because of the screen i put the hash in? or because of the hash? i remember the same hash being not very tasty towards the end in the flowermate too, but what ive been through today was partly quiet intense. but the flowermate will only go up to 210C or 205C i think

is it just that the fuckin hash is the one who is tasting bad? i was actually quiet nice hash. amazing to combust, bubbling and soft. got black after being repressed in hand.

any ideas?

and i am sorry if this is written in a weird way. its very late, i tested the vaponic all day and english is not my mother tongue:zzz::science::shrug:

The Vaponic is one of my favourite butane vape, but like a lot of vapes you have to heat a lot in order to get thick clouds from the first hit.....and this is destroy the taste. Accept thinner clouds for a better taste my friend!

I actually got a good amount of high quality moroccan compressed kief, I tested it in my HerbalAire (great!), MiVape (nice too!), MistVape (amazing), Focus (big clouds) but still not with my Vaponic... Did you proceed like mentionned in the user guide ? I'm afraid it will be too messy in this tiny glass bowl...

I vape blond leb in my vaponic as the taste is amazing,I have found the best way is just pull a chunk off and put it in bowl complete in one piece ,it vapes all the way well I find, I find landrace hash the best in this vape always my go to when I have something new in I want to try for taste.

Maybe squeeze it for rosin then vape that on a gauze for slightly better taste but I find this is not a monster cloud machine more a flavor beast bu only if you take your heating cycles slowly and not over cook the load, it sometimes take a few draws just to get the vapor going then a top up heat to keep it held where it is....

Prob the hardest vape to learn and use but the best tasting imho well worth the learning curve

Good to know!

I'll try that for the lunch!
Is it not too much messy and difficult to clean? I bet it is better to empty the bowl while still hot!
