Discontinued Haze Square

Be a shame if the vape's elegant simple design is marred by numbers, letters or colors.

But, how about simple symbols?

Perhaps "tally marks" I II III IIII, sideways, eminating from center.
Or basic shapes. Something cool and communicative. Concentric maybe.
Can indicate chamber both by sight and touch, like some braille or dice.

I don't see why basic unstylized numbers would mar the elegance of the design. Elegance should meet functionality in the middle to make a beautiful vape baby. The numeral system could work but it seems over complicated for a marginal design issue at hand. Functionality and price point will determine the end popularity of this vape, not the existence or nonexistence of numbered bowls

I agree. Maybe a middle ground could be silicone seals of different colors combined with embossed dots on the stainless steel canisters themselves? I don't think it would be a big deal to lift the magnetic cover and take a peek under, so the outside of the Square could keep its nice clean look. Here's a super-rough pic that shows what I mean...

How about raised "dimples" like used for the sight impaired in elevators and elsewhere...

maybe even a symbol for concentrate = C to let you know that is the concentrate chamber- and herb = H - ( maybe T = tobacco?? << will anyone?? )

that is three, if someone can come up with a fourth vaporizable.... after that it will be up to user to remember what went where and when it was vaped or not vaped....

very cool progress, glad I checked back in! Nice to see there's a workable early prototype already, it'll definitely be fun to see progress continue. As far as marking chambers, I support the idea of some kind of raised dot/braille like marking on the outside edge- something you can't see by looking at the vape from the front or back, but you can when viewing it in profile. That way you can also easily feel them with your fingers because you'll be gripping around that outer edge. Especially so if the markings are close to the corners where you will probably be gripping to swivel the next chamber around.

I really like this idea. I know there's a like button and I liked it :D but I really think this is prefect!

This is going to the boss tomorrow.

What does everyone else think?

I too prefer the raised dot request. That'd be great for night time use and the dots could be lined up in a straight line with the number of dots corresponding to the chamber:

....

Or to keep with the square theme, as follows:

::

Of course chamber 1 has 1 dot, 2 has 2, etc.

I really like how this is beginning to shape up!

Great concept, and with @scott402 and haze's tried and true rock solid customer service I see this as a notch in the win column for the FC community!

I think all you would need to number/identify the 4 chambers is to berak the symmetry. Anything, even jsut a single dot somewhere and you can count them clockwise. Having some bowls for herbs and some for concentrates also breaks the symmetry (except one case when you place the same ones diagonally) and you tell them apart.

I like this, as long as you have your 'index' chamber you're good to go.

What's the estimated time of release on a final version? I'm ready to invest in some more Haze stock.

At this point I'm salivating to do so!

It's also been awhile for me. I've been out of the country.

I'm also excited to see that Haze has its own glass pieces now. They look to be like quality produced pieces. I'm not surprised as Haze is serious about what they offer. I've got my eye on two of their pieces. Soon to be a part of my growing collection. Cheers!

Raised dots AND white dots.
Probably only needed for #1 and #3.
Some prefer visual marking, like your complete white circle and border white circle on the Haze V3

We are still hoping by the end of the year. Anyone that doesn't have their vapes out by then and application in with the FDA will not be able to sell in 2017 while the vape is waiting for approval. This is a big deal for our industry. I think new releases are going to be pretty slim picking for the next few years while all this gets sorted out.

Please say more about what's going on with the FDA in 2017. If you called the square a modification of the haze would it still need to go through this process.
