Are these the latest versions.I am totally a noob, and 1st time I am getting something like a wax pen.
Can I use my QWISO in this coil, also I am from India and we have charas easily available here, can I use this to smoke that also in these coils.
Thanks

One thing that makes the second generation different is the thickness of the cap that covers the coils in the NYX...
I have not had the chance to try the donut coils yet, but a friend has a set coming in, and I will give it a shot.
What I did get to try out however was the new NYX.
DSC04326.jpg

The button on the side has been made more functional, and allows greater volume of air to pass than the previous NYX

Below you will see the new Atomizer Cap with a unique new depth , which contains spatter well
DSC04327.jpg

This NYX like it's predecessor has the form factor that allows it to be used with a box mod or with the Evolve Plus Battery... the fit with the Evolve Plus Battery is smooth.
In the second image you see the coils cap... much thicker than the original shown here:
Both work very well, and the 1st generation is not that far off... especially if this is the one you have access to.
You can use QWISO if it has been filtered very well and is very clean.
You can not use Charas with this type of coil.

Thanks a lot for replying.
I have already ordered from fasttech as this is the only website delivering at a fair rate to me in India.
Also what do you mean by filtering QWISO properly.please tell me the best way as here in India you can't buy concentrates other than charas,so I have to make mine each time.
Thanks

Forget qwiso, check out rosin technique...

The coil cap looks different then the one from evolve, but the coils and the housing of the coils themselves are different. NYx coils will not fit evolve!

I got first version NYx from German eBay seller with coil caps included and it looks identical to the one shown in the pictures....

I can't do rosin as the buds available here in India are of bad quality.in fact they are so bad that people in this forum will not even touch em.
They can't be pressed and even if they are you wouldn't get any resin outta them. For resin tech to work with this quality I will need a expensive heat press..which can press a large amount in 1 go..
So QWISO is my only option

Rosin works better with charas then flowers.....just my two cents....last bit of charas I had that was more then ten years old pressed .8 for every 1g put in my hair press in simple thea bags...try it;)

on topic, my first coil is still working like a charm after several weeks of daily use:tup:

Sorry..it never occurred to me that you can press charas too..thanks for this great idea.i can get malana or red ice very easily..
Wife got a hair straightener too hehehe..can you give me some more info like how much you pressed in 1 go, why did you use tea bags, can't.I just make small little balls and put em in parchment paper and press it?

After you shake the Isopropyl Alcohol with the herbal matter, pour it through a coffee filter.
You can pour it through a clean filter 2 times before you begin evaporation to get perfect cleanness.
Fold the filter in this manner:

Yes that is actually the preferred and correct way... Parchment Paper.
Wife got a hair straightener too hehehe..can you give me some more info

Make sure the hair iron is flat.
Ceramic is best.
1 1/2 inch or 2 inch width is easiest.

This last one is great.. I used it.
The rosin works well in NYX.
Haha already called my dealer..he is getting a new batch from Parvati valley on Sunday..wife got 2 of these hair pressers so will see which 1 works better.hehehe
So keeping my fingers crossed and will press some Malana charas to get my 1st Rosin concentrate...
Nyx is still processing with fasttech and I think I will be having some good Rosin in my hands soon

Have to figure storage of this resin now

Glass lip balm jars are good.
The new Silicone Wax jars are great.
You can place the rosin on a piece of Parchment, and fold it nicely also, and store it like that.

Stored rosin on Parchment (.3 gram on left, and .45 gram on right)
I have stored an ounce of wax (28 grams) in parchemnt paper (a bigger piece of the paper).

After a couple months my NYX crapped out on me yesterday. Kept getting the "No atomizer" screen.
It was working fine all morning, then before lunch I hit it, put it down and came back 10 mins. later "No Atty". Figured I blew the coil so I tried a new donut and same thing, no atty. tried a brand new dual coil and still nothing.
I thought my mod box was no good but it still works fine for my "510 Err mod".
This morning I tried cleaning everything and messing with the wires on one of the donut coils and instead of "no Atty." it said "Atty. short".
I just tried my last new donut and the dual coil on my brothers mod box and none of them work.
I give up! Time to order a replacement.

Time to decide between a Gen2 NYX or the Yocan Cerum...Anyone have both and prefer one over the other?

That's very strange. So, it is the Nyx base that's not registering. I'm not sure what would cause this.

I do have both, but I haven't used the Cerums yet. Honestly, I don't see how there would be any difference because they use the same coils as the Nyx. But if you look in the Cerum thread, you'll find a write up by @Vitolo and he touches on the differences he noticed.

I am going to recommend @VAPEHUNTER try the Cerum.
It is different than the others, and has a very nice air flow.
It is particularly easy to clean.
I am not saying anything negative about the NYX. It is a great piece, and here locally many love the NYX and it is their preference.
I loved the Evolve Plus from the start, and my first impression of the Cerum was how nicely it conformed to the Evolve Plus form. I like the look also.
NYX conforms also.
It depends.
It comes down to specific preferences.
Some sensitive people claim the ability detect the essence of metallic parts present in any vaporizer.
Some people like mechanisms by their nature, and an added button to "clear the air" is right up their alley.
Some people like to suck cool air through the coils to cool the concentrate.
Others like to let the concentrate sit and cool against the coils as they are.... Vent button is for good them.
My feeling is the NYX atomizer seems to be the preference for individuals using box mods, and other VV battery sources (remember the Vision Spinner?)

Can someone please post a video of how they load NYX.
I have just received my 1st gen NYX from Fasttech after a long shipping delay..
This is my 1st time using any concentrate(except of charas) and I am fairly new to these Yocan NyX also..

Any inputs are most welcome
And yeah I will be loading it with some QWISO as I couldn't make any Rosin..just don't know what I am doing wrong

I just put oil on a dabber, place the dab in the crevice of the two coils, heat the dabber with a torch to allow the oils to slide off when you raise the dabber.

I also like to hold the carb open for the first few hits to reduce splatter.

Haha I don't have a dabber also...as I said, 1st time concentrate user, saw some videos on YouTube and read here to make my 1st batch of QWISO or any kind of concentrate..got a little batch which came out potent, so decided to make more and also ordered a Joytech
Evic mini(came without a battery) and 2 Yocan Nyx(1st gen)
Now I have these things in my hand with some QWISO ,and I can't even figure out how to open NYX?

Pull from base, I'd use a toothpick and just set the dab in the crevice. Spinning the toothpick may help wiggle it away from the dab.

Thanks to all of you that I am enjoying this amazing shatter in my nyx. FYI it's a 2nd gen model with a coil cap and I am using it at only 5w.I am not much of a cloud chaser neither do I like getting too baked, you guys can call me a functional addict.
During today's wake and bake session I loaded Nyx with a very small amount ,like picking some on a tooth pick and rolling it between coils...And u guys won't believe ,how long I kept toking those flavorful hits, not big clouds ,though..freaking half an hr.....this way 1 gram of that lemon haze will probably last me 3 weeks if I use everyday like this.
Btw guys how to clean Nyx ?and what's reclaim ?and has anyone been using Nyx with some water tool?

Sorry for English mistakes
Thanks and may Shiva bless you all fine people of this forum

Cleaning the Nyx is as simple as giving the coil a hot ISO bath, and swabbing the housing and base with ISO dipped cutip.

Reclaim is the stuff you're cleaning off. Some people like to save this by evaporating off the ISO that was used to clean with. I've never personally tried this.

Yes, I've used the Nyx with my bong and tubing.
