Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Hi all,

Just got the PNWT pinnacle water tool from sunshinestore.
However it does not appear to be funtioning properly.

The top chamber with the splash guard fills with water and doesnt drain.
It causes the water to splash in my mouth if I draw faster, I have to draw very slowly to avoid it.
LSQPeIW.jpg

My F-bomb always drains well and it never gets caught in the splash guard...

Edited for clarity:
Can anyone confirm if theirs also pools up in the splash guard area (like the photo)? Is it normal operation for the PNWT?

I have what I believe is the same little Pinnacle hydrotube although I got mine off Ebay. The simple solution to reducing the water level in the upper chamber is to simply blow through it after you fill it. Incredibly crude and shouldn't be necessary, but works like a champ. You blow some water out the bottom, wipe it off and it's good to go. Use it almost every day. Hope that solves your problem...

Good night people!
All right?

How does it behave? It is the mighty you have? How in terms of clouds? It is smooth? Irritates the throat? Gives big hits? It's worth, or is it preferable to invest a bit more for something better?
If someone else can answer, I am grateful!

Big hug!

I just grabbed the original Bates x Worm version and I absolutely love it. The GAS was killing me, but now it's all cleared up. Ordering a variety of drop downs now to make it function even better.
Hi Bruce - am I wrong that the Bates Glasswork versions are in the $500 range. I'm sure the workmanship is outstanding (I understand that Mr Bates is a bit of a perfectionist...good thing to have in a glass artist) and I understand that they are a bit thicker than the Gravlabs produced version, but if its at all serviceable then I'm ok with it for that price.

They should function identically (or close to it). Do you use for dabbing concentrates at all? Do you like its draw resistance, flavor, etc?

I bought it so will find out for myself, but if you have time to reply it would be appreciated.

Cheers

I use my for concentrates only. It's got amazing taster. I paid around $500 for mine and looking back at it, I'm okay with that price even if the Grav Labs is cheaper and identical. I'd buy a Grav if I could find one locally, but I just haven't ran into one in the wild. I'll end up buying one of the Grav copies if I ever stumble on one.

Plus I supported a local shop that deals only in high-end American and European glass. They have blowers in for parties all the time and I've easily consumed more than $100 in free drinks and food, so I figure my purchase will pay for itself over a few years.

Hi Bruce - no argument from me...I rather like to support the original USA glass guys myself. I satisfied myself that Gravlabs really was in partnership with Bates on these lower cost units and I'm in the middle of a bathroom remodel so $$ are dear (if I ever start a home remodeling job again, please shoot me LOL).

I have been given to understand that the Bates Glassworks versions are thicker and that the welds are flawless.

Cheers

Hi @BadDog No , thank you for the suggestion. However, i already had the same idea.... the pressure required to blow it down into the lower chamber is enough to empty the lower chamber by up to 50%.
I even went so far as to get paper towels to absorb the upper chamber.... but once you start inhaling again the percolating bubbles starts accumulating at the top again ans dont drain down.... i have inhale at super slow speeds so that the top chamber bubbles dont pop in my nouth.
I dont have this problem with my f-bomb; But that cost 4x the price.

Not sure if the questions are referring to the vape or the bubbler.
If it's about the bubbler, i'm not really impressed with it. I suppose i could live with the malfunctioning splash guard but it's very annoying getting splashes of water in your mouth.
It does cool down a bit, but a more substantial sized bubbler will work better. If you don'thave any specific need for this size then i would probably suggest to get soemthing a little bigger.
I use my f-bomb (same size) for when im traveling.

If the question was pertaining to the vape. I have the crafty (same vapor output). It's super smooth, pretty big clouds, very little irritation and very consistent.
It's still my favourite vape, if thereis anything better let me known and i will buy it lol.
It's more of a session vape, meaning you its best to finish your chamber in 1 sitting.
If you have any other questions jump on the crafty and mighty threads, plenty of good info.

Hi @Thcgos

Thanks for the answer!

Sorry I have not explained well. I was referring to the bubbler. Thus, this aside is! Mighty, I have! :)

I was seriously thinking of buying this:
http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/2016-new-vapexhale-hydratube-9-8-inches-glass/385487849.html

But I have some questions:
Which Options choose the site? What differences are between them? It is this, do not understand absolutely nothing!

It is compatible with the Mighty? This adptador serves?

Hi @N1ghtWalker ,
Regarding adapters the one you linked will work, but it still goes through your cooling unit. Requires lots of cleaning this way, I dont like this option.

These are the 2 most popular:
http://www.vapingfans.com/18mm-water-adapter-for-mighty-crafty-vaporizer.html
The above ^^^ is cheaper and doesn't require an existing cooling unit. It is seperate. Just dont over tighten when screwing on or it could damage the mighty housing (just half turn).
http://delta3dstudios.com/mighty-waterpipe-adapter-cu-mod-v2/
^^^ requires existing cooling unit bottom (I dont have this one).

The hydratube you linked comes in 2 parts.
YJF7qWj.jpg

Base and top half.

The top half is more suited for a vape exhale evo. You can still use it for your crafty but you will have to hold it ontop at all times... and you probably cant let it sit freely on the top or it will put too much weight on the housing with the adapter (i wouldnt chose only the top half option).
If you want the bottom half too you will have to chose the option with 10arm tree perc stand. Should be $59. (Or inline stand).

For me i would prefer soemthing like the "DG-102" or "D020-D" (only 1 piece).
But it depends what you like.

So I currently have this little Hydratube from sunshinestore:

K8UBUO4.jpg

I use it with my EVO, CFX and some wax pens. And, would like to upgrade.

I don't mind sacrificing some smoothness for better flavor or bigger hits. Are these good upgrade options:

[Link Removed]

I also noticed sunshinestore upgraded their hydratube: http://m.dhgate.com/product/2016-ne...es-bubbler/372671070.html#st-storehome-8-null any thoughts on that one?

Other suggestions are also welcome.

Edit: the removed link was the fc187 from Steven.

Modnote: Removed link to labeled counterfeit glass

I apologize for the delay. I had to research what you mentioned ...
Regarding the adapter, I think it makes more sense, choose the waterpipe adapter cu mod v2, since it gives to 14mm / 18mm! As for the DG-102, I found nothing! The D020-D does not have the same "problem" you referred to? The Mighty is also facing down. I have to hold it all the time. Or am I wrong? By the way, by chance know whether pay rates, to come to Europe? Rather Portugal?

This is good? Or has some kind of defect, to the mighty?

I apologize for the various questions, and for being boring, but I'm not rich, and I can not afford to squander money.

looks great. So far haven't tried it yet but it looks like it'll function and I haven't noticed any leaks. It came super fast. Under a week.

Edit to add does anyone know a good water level for this? I have it just covering the perc currently.

No you wont have to hold it... because mighty will be upside down and will be able to support its own weight.
If its under a heavy hydratube, it wont be good for the housing.

Just go with what you like best.
RE: DG-102 ... look at my post history.
I made a recent post.

Not sure about tarrifs and rates to europe.

I just got my mai tai straight fab in. Unfortunately it has scratches inside the tube. I tried my best to take some pics

Am I being to picky about the marks? Should I be concerned about a crack forming later on?

Hi @Thcgos

Thanks for the clarification and availability! Anyway, if anyone knows if pay rates for Portugal, please tell me! As a rule, the websites of the products, never know me answer that. Thank you and Big hug for you!

I'd be concerned about those. They look deep, like they might eventually cause a crack.

Just enough to where the "Swiss Perc" function operates. On a good draw bubbles should rise between the Mai Tai inner wall and clear outer wall but not reach the mouthpiece when the water level is right.
That looks about right to me. Nice Piece!!!
