Still enjoying my Guru, it's a very nice vape for sipping some tasty hits and can offers heavy hits since the high temp ability+480 I think (I used 465°F once for a reclaim cotton bowl with great sucess!).

I forgotten to mention you can use it while charging and I want to add the battery life is totally impressive!

Is it possible to change the thread name?

Manufacturer (Grizzly vapor) asked to me if it's possible to rename it : Guru by Grizzly Vapor

My unit is still working well and enjoy it as a portable home vape for sipping around the house.

I noticed it extracts the goodies rather fast...that's why ungrounded flowers are better for sipping, they last longer.

Mine arrived a few days ago " cheer's to Kory:tup:" only got to try it out Saturday though and omg this thing is a remote control for a rocket ship. Its not like my Arizer extreme q but your talking 2 completely different platforms. I've tried many different platforms and other methods my glass collection got to be a expensive hobby lol and this by far is the best hand held I've ever tried.
Literally sat down and cranked it up to the same temps I use on the Arizer that was a mistake its direct heat not the hot air my arizer uses and literally sat me in the chair for a couple hours like a huge bong hit:worms::rockon:. Definitely packs a lot more of a punch than I expected it too but not harsh like some vapes. Later on I tried the oil chamber and again this did exactly what I wanted it too. The other bonus is I could stand outside and no one had a clue and just thought its one of them nicotine mods so its very stealth. Overall this gets the I would take this on holiday to Amsterdam than roll or use the communal vapes vote I'm very impressed ... woke up at 4.45 am on the sofa woops  :leaf::zzz:

Just to mention the manufacturer is making a high efficiency mouthpiece with 50% larger holes for a better airflow, but it will works better without grinding or scissors grind. I'll report if i get one.

MOre I use it more I like the taste I get with this vape, I load the bowl at 75%, pack it down and start around 395-400°F for 3-4mn and increase temp at 410 for some more tokes and cash the load at 420-425 before to dump it. I think the t° display is a bit overestimated cause I never use more than 410 with most of my vaporizers (with flowers only).

For a conduction based vape taste is trully amazing!

I met the guys at Grizzly at Champs last month and they asked me to test out their new vape, the Guru. The only negative I could find about it for me was the aesthetics. I just don't like how it looks. But the good news is you can decide if you like the aesthetics for yourself before buying it. So let's get to what you can't do before you buy it, and talk about its performance...

My first testing was with dry herbs, and I thought it excelled for a conduction vape. Vapor production was quick, thick and satisfying. The ceramic 'counter' above the bowl is a nice touch that gives the impression of a well built unit with purity of components. The mouthpiece is shaped like an oval dome and does a good job of cooling the vapor. At no time was I getting vapor that was too harsh for my throat. The unit goes up to 482 (why?), but I kept it around 440 as an upper limit.

I then moved on to the bubbler test with the included 14mm gong mouthpiece. This unit milked my bubbler (one of my biggest!) well throughout the session. Even when it got wispier, it was still plenty thick enough. In my opinion, this is one of the more robust conduction vapes I have tested, as most can't keep up with half of my draw.

Finally, I tested the included atomizer with some concentrate. I don't like to use concentrates much, but find I have to do enough testing with them to know what I am doing. I found the included atomizer to be a little underwhelming. But that sometimes happens with donut or dish atomizers, as I still prefer the harder hitting coil atomizers. What I haven't done yet is run it with a different atomizer. I wanted to do that before writing this, but I'm not going to have time to get that done soon enough. I also didn't test the e-juice tank...that shit's not for me. The voltage range in atomizer mode is from 1.6 to 6.0.

At the end of the day, I think this is one of the more satisfying to use 3-in-1 portables out there, but most of the competition is trying to be in a stealth pen factor. The Guru says screw that and goes big and effective. It's got a lot of battery power for the conduction oven, and therefore more than you'll ever need for a standard pen atomizer (maybe not the heavy duty ones...this is not a box mod). The atomizer module has a standard 510 threading so you can put whatever you want on top of it, making the unit very versatile. They also included a lot of accessories, like the 14mm gong mouthpiece I mentioned earlier.

So, if you're in the market for a 3-in-1 that really performs well, this one deserves consideration. I can't vouch yet for the included wax atomizer or e-cig tank, but if you've got some you really like, this one should power them fine for you. Just take into consideration its size, and remember you probably won't win any beauty contests with it.

A small post to let you know I'm still impressed how the Guru works well with whole flowers....i call it my portable HerbalAire...this means a lot for me since the HA2.2 is still one of the kings of my arsenal!

Like the HA it works well even with crappy weed (some autoflowering I get are not the better in term of vapor production).

Abv comes out totally browned even with very tight/ dense buds.

Oil attachment is very nice too, it's a plate style atty and it works considerably better than the other wax pen I got using this sort of atty (Linx Zero) but it kills your stash and it's not a very conservative atty. The look on the top of this big battery is not very nice looking style.

An alternative non-glass mouthpiece for stealth on the go vaping would be nice!

It's great to be back. I'm going to finally purchase a Guru, even though I was told I would be receiving one before the release to the public. Oh well..... at least I'm still above ground and can enjoy this beautiful and healthy lifestyle.

Thank you to all of you who have haved contributed to the thread. I appreciate your comments and feedback greatly.

Once again you all knocked it out of the park! By months end I'll also own one. Cheers!

Hello again everyone. I was wondering if the concentrate attachment (not the e- juice) mp was removable? It looks like it's made of a polymer to me.

I've yet to read about or notice anyone removing it or commenting on it in videos so far. Not that it may or may not be out there someplace.

I bring this up for a few reasons. Curiosity, versatility and flavor quality are the main ones. Tip oh thee hat already to the Guru on versatility!

I know most of the OG's in vaporizing like the best all around experience possible when it comes to vapor quality and so on. Ie: taste is a big around here on FC.

So to speak on my query. I think and know that having a glass, wood (@Ed's TnT ;)) or other mp attached would definitely enhance the taste experience and overall purity of ones draws over a polymer/rubber mp.

I love that the dry herb has it and would think anyone would also like the option for a more enhanced concentrate session. Most of us know those better concentrates have great taste and would rather not have them compromised in any way.

I'm in no way knocking the Guru as I should have one arriving at my door step any day now. Can you say excited! I'm just geekin like I like to geek out. My passion runs deep in this lifestyle!

Also I'm going to try and figure something out for an optional water filtration set-up whilst using the concentrate attachment. I mean who doesn't love robust and dense water filtered bangers! :science:

Cha cha cheers all.

I enjoyed a lot my Guru but, sadly, the plastic part where to insert the glass top broke...making the unit unusuable on the go but I can still use it at home being carefully while handling.

This glass mp system is the main flaw of this device and must to be improved. This system requires a lot of strenght to put in place or take off which lead to a break.... Another threaded system and an alternative non-glass mp would be great.

I'll try to post a pic of the broken part.

Any news my friend?

Manufacturer replied me quickly after I mentionned the issue I posted before and sent me a replacement ring to keep the mp in place AND a lubricant. I'm not a huge fan of the lubricant and I don't know what is made of but it works well to attach the mp without using strength.

It's definitly the more gentle conduction vape I get, its "finesse" is nice for a tasty session. I still use only whole flowers or scissors grind if they are too dense. But it's big and not stealth at all cause the size and the glass mp. Battery life is still very good.

Oil attachment could be one of my favourite but since I can only use it on the Guru battery I don't use it a lot. It's a shame cause the bad looking style hide a powerfull ceramic plate style atty which works better than the Linx Zero which is the only other one ceramic plate atty i get. Beautiful taste and surprisingly fast and thick clouds, no burnt taste, light splash and no waste at all.

Namaste vape is selling replacement parts for a very decent price, too bad they don't speak anymore about a better/different/stealthier/less breakable mouthpiece....but I think they are working on a whole new unit.

I sent a unit to another member here (cause I got a replacement since the first one was only working plugged), could you share your feedback...even if bad (I think not, isn't it?)?

This vape is definitly the best tasting conduction based vaporizer I tested!

I loved how the Alfa taste but here it's a step better, you can taste your flowers during all the session even while using very high temp around 435°F, my sessions are typically 12-15mn and i never grind flowers with the Guru. Load comes out fully brown, totally vaped.

I don't know if the heater is something different than others conduction devices but, in the beginning of the session, you can heard like a boiling sound from the bowl, I never heard this sound before in any conduction or convection vape I tested. I get 2 heating chambers and this nice sound is present with both of them.

There is some cons too.... I broke 2 times the upper ring to attach the glass mp to the unit but the namaste CS send me both time another ring with some goodies. And I broke recently the glass mp cause my unit fall on the concrete but I still have the 14mm one!

Okay so I finally was able to sit down with my brand new GURU! It's been a long time coming and I've been looking forward to putting it through its paces.

First off the overall feel of the unit in hand is pretty solid minus a little give or wobble where you switch out the different compatible tops it comes with. It's still a solid connection however and does not rattle or anything. For it's overall size it feels really comfortable in my hand, smooth to the touch and I actually like it's looks.

The dry herb chamber had a nice and complete finish with healthful materials built in and did not scream cheap. This is good as it will not be mucking up flavor and causing noxious off gassing. Two very big NO NO's in my book.

The concentrate attachment is a pretty standard flat pen style housing with a ceramic pad/disc inside that as a whole is easily removed and attached with a few twists. With this attached the unit defiantly could be used in public without drawing unneeded looks.

The base/control unit (battery is built in) is strait forward, finished and simple to navigate with it's on-screen icons denoting which mode you're in, just in case you forget what you just attached. :ko: It gives your current set or goal temperature and also the current temperature while heating up and in use. I find that handy for next session and any notations for us nerds out there. The buttons feel firm and responsive to the touch and I liked the rubber that covers them.

I've not used the e-juice attachment as of yet so I'm unable to give any feedback. I do know this base unit is compatible with many other carts and atomizers too. Just make sure to check your threading and if you're adding the correct attachment, alla ohm vs sub- ohm. You don't want to burn out your mission control. Because without that, no blast off!

Charge time and battery life are both great. My unit was fully charge in just under 45 minutes and you can also use it while it's charging because it comes with a passthrough mode. Nice! The battery life is great and with the on-screen readout on the base unit you'll always know how much power is left.

The dry herb sessions are great so far and I'm still experimenting with my grind size, load sizes and different compaction rates. So far I've manage some impressively huge and dense draws. Yippee! Extraction seems pretty thorough without stirring and even better if you want to give it one during your session. The glass MP feels good, stays cool and allows for flavorful draws. If you decide to use the water attachment you can milk it that much more for some good lung fillers. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Now for my concerns and what did happen. I felt the seal was solid when placing the glass MP back over the oven however it's precarious at times to get it to do so and the plastic holding it (the seal) feels very weak and cheap. I did not like this as I don't want to be replacing parts all of the time. Flowers are for me so that's lots of off and on for the glass MP. I was only able to get in about 6 sessions before it eventually broke and I was just starting to get the feel for the GURU. That was a major bummer! :bang: I think that design into the unit was highly over looked. Yes you can buy replacements for this small piece but I'm not a fan of that idea and if you do I'd by a couple at a time because I see this happening again and again. I think between the heat sinking and thinness of the plastic or polymer used it's set up to fail on this particular part.

The concentrate attachment can also be dialed in for various types off extractions and concentrates. Though it's more of a get it in your system unit versus efficacy and taste. Once you get the right temperature it won't burn off your concentrate and delivers large hits to the face if so desired. It does do a far better job then the cheap vape pens too. However I would use a dedicated device for concentrates if you want to get the full potential out of that extensive stuff.

My overall impression is good about the GURU we don't have a beef but more of a problem when I'm wanting to go rounds with it because of the issue with not being able to use it because of the failed part.

Yes, use it with dry herbs it's great at it and I feel that's where the Guru shines and was most likely designed around. The other attachments are added bonuses for when you're on the go and can't carry other separate dedicated device.

Thanks for reading and hopefully this helps anyone out there. Cheers!

Did you get the lubricant to avoid to break the top of your flower cart...that's the weak point of this vape although since I use lubricant all the time mylast top ring is still solid (but I broke 2 before to realize I need to use some lub...).

Nice review!

Nice review!

On my first one not until about the 4th sesh. Seemed to help a bit but that still didn't totally solve it for me. For one you still really have to mind that thin and somewhat delicate plastic and second light light light on the lube. Managed to bugger another one too but it still will see it's place in the rotation. I'm just a purist when it comes to my taste and experiences or chasing it's uttianment at least.

So when I mention the word /session\ please keep in mind they are very lengthy and push hard. :borg: This is not just for me but for the gear too. I really want to get a good feel for things . You know, the best, not for what's in a name but for me, my dollar, you any and everyone. Hopefully you can dig that :peace:

I thank you for your kind words and cheers brother!

Brand new Grizzly Guru sitting on Kitchen Counter... Plugged in and charging~

Right on, I found it worked best with flower and the water attachment.

Handle the Guru with care though. It doesn't want to stay together for long.

The concentrate base just decided to come apart on me. This AGAIN after looking at what happened was a failure in the flimsy plastic/polymer used for the base that houses the circuit board for the concentrate attachment. The same thing goes for the base on the flower attachment where the glass mates to the plastic.

From my observations it seems that after about 20 sessions my GURU became loose and brittle from the heating/cooling of usage. This bummed me out as I was finally starting to get the Guru's sweet spots nailed down. I've yet to buy replacements again for both as I was not pleased.

When it was working I did enjoy my Guru and may you enjoy your new device too. I'm not familiar with your vaporizing history or preferences but it'll get you elevated in no time. Please chime in when you can with thoughts and impressions. Thanks and cheers!

This unit found a home faster than many... as I have a gal who has been wanting a glass mouthpiece... and and likes high temps.
The Grizzly has an all glass vapor path... has wax cart, and e-juice cart.
All 3 of this gal's favorite features in one.
During testing, I found that I needed to bump the temperature to the top to get quality vapor.
The patient loved that about it!
Less to think about... just always leave it at the top, she said.
We tested it together and it was a match!
Thank you to the anonymous donor, for a less than commonly seen Vaporizer (for me it was a first time)... for a unique gal!
She sends love and I send thanks.

Hi folks, Walt here, just new to the forum and to vaping. After seeing all the good words on the Grizzly Guru, I'm pretty much mind made up to go for one. I've seen a couple of people talking about using lube for fitting it together do the connections don't break. Can I ask what lube people are using, is it a general purpose type or sold by the manufacturer?

Thanks!
