Headed here shortly:
I haven't been to a big flea market type event in I can't remember how long... lookin for a decent pair of bookshelf speakers (cheaper than the $300 pair of B&W CM1 I looked at yesterday)... 👀:peace:

Edit: See:

Still a pretty sweet deal regardless of how much I wanna spend... :cuss:

Edit2: Boston Acoustic HD9 in MINT shape w/stands and monster cable for $50...whaddya think? 🤔 :

And Paradigm sub also in MINT shape ($30):

Both were $300 new... Everything's 1/2 price tomorrow....!
Yep, cuz I set the BA HD9 speakers up for the pic (and didn't try to hide em after), they sold like 2 minutes before closing....:cuss: actually, I kinda kid cuz I wanted em to sell at full price cuz all the proceeds went to charity... I shoulda bought em then. I went back early the next morning and did manage to grab the Paradigm sub for $15 tho... woot! Well worth it!

So, the hunt for decent used bookshelf speakers continues this Saturday by going here:
And hopefully I'll find something that keeps me from rationalizing purchasing those sweet AF $300 ($1200 new) B&W CM1 ... You see, I already own a pair of Sonus Faber Concertino (and REL sub, among other gear) that I absolutely ADORE, but they don't leave the house... what I'm looking for here is to put together a cheap but decent hotel system cuz my contract has been extended and could possibly become permanent... actually seriously looking at real estate is the next order of business... :brow: 🤫 Shhhhhh!

Fuck Massachusetts. (I was born in Boston)

Edit: Ok, here...! Goin in..wish me luck! 🙏🏻🤞🏻:

Then after, I'll stop by here and see what they call "Primo":

How fucking stupid do you need to be to play Springsteen's Born in the USA at a PRO-War protest? Listen to the lyrics, you feral hog-people!

This is the stupidest week in American history. A record that will probably hold until next week.

Oh yeah, here's the little amp I grabbed for mini hotel rig:
12 volt, baby! And tiny... pretty sure I paid less than $20 for it, too. Sounds ok for what it is. The whole reason for this is cuz the sub for my old 2.1 Cambridge Soundworks system I use for the 'puter crapped out and I like leaving the JBL Charge 4 in car... a little decent 12 volt system will be much more handy and portable than dragging around one of my old receivers or integrated amps. I can take it camping! Ha!

Edit: bummer it doesn't have a sub or line level outs for the Paradigm sub... but a sub was never really part of the plan anyway, and hardly portable... yeah, a sub in hotel room... ha, I'm sure everyone would love that :lol::rockon::tup:

Something tells me the cartoonist for "Swamp Monsters News" doesn't want to take "it's ok to do ethnic cleansing on bigots" to its logical conclusion. Especially with the footage I saw coming out of places like Mississippi last week.

Reminds me of the lying war mongers who pretended to care about "women in Afghanistan". Yes, being banned from going to school is bad. But being burned alive along with your children by a Raytheon bomb is worse.

Me too! Sucks!

I also hate when people think you're an irate asshole when (you're fairly certain) you're not...:ugh:
Wish I could say the same unfortunately I know I can be an ass not meaning to it's a problem I've been working on. Unfortunately it has cost me many friends in the past

It's pretty hard to argue against this logic. It is made substantially more difficult when it becomes clear that we are seeing actual corruption, like accepting bribes, right before our eyes. Accepting these huge gifts, financial and otherwise, and not reporting them is a violation of their rules and therefore their oath. The longer this goes on, the more permission they feel they've been given and the more invulnerable they assume they are.

She's right. But it takes 67 votes in the Senate to remove a Justice. There will literally never be 67 Democratic Senators ever again.

Sure glad the most powerful nation on earth is still using an operating system written nearly 300 years ago by syphilitic, slave owning 20 somethings who didn't know what a germ or atom was. We're on iOS 17, and the iPhone came out in 2007.

You're making the assumption that no Republican senators will ever do the right thing. That it is impossible for Republicans to see a criminal on the Supreme Court and want to do anything about it. While I will absolutely agree that the Republican Party right now is totally fucked up and has become a cult of personality, I refuse to believe that that's a permanent condition.

Right. I'm making an assumption about the future based on everything that's happened in the past. I don't know how else to interact with the world

I guess I'm just old enough to remember life before Trump came down the escalator. Barack O'Bungler said the fever will break soon... in 2011.

Republicans in 2014. Or 2004. Or 1994. Or 1984.... wouldn't vote to impeach Thomas either. By the mid-70's it was already accepted wisdom in Republican circles that helping Democrats push Nixon out was a mistake.
