Mine sits on one of those might weight glass gong stands out of the way to the back of a surface. I've one once or twice brushed against it accidentally. It's really not a big deal to organise IME.

Just for thread knowledge, the wiring layout is not dependent on the local mains voltage. The vast majority of PIDs are international devices, like a laptop charger, and will adjust to the local voltage. It's just the coil that has to match the wiring layout and the local mains voltage. 👍

Bear in mind that I haven't seen the new stems, but, if the tubes themselves are similar dimensions to the OG stems then you could top off the balls with a nest of 4 5mm balls at the very top of the stem. They fit in very neatly together and should prevent the rest of the balls falling out...

This is my recollection too. I haven't heard of a failure since the glass heads. There has been 3 released zirconia product lines iirc (z8, zx, ZXL) since then so plenty of time to find out. :shrug:
